That's what I'da thought, so thanks for the confirmation! It'd be odd to only have greasier fast food options when these girls are auditioning for DCC. lol

We really don't know what they're serving at that food booth. Could be healthy-ish stuff.... I must have missed the earlier portion of this conversation - what are you talking about? Was Sydney at the DCC finals?

From what BSG said, we should hear about who made it to TC in around 2 1/2 hours or so. So around 5 PM PST / 6 PM MT / 7PM CT / 8 PM EST, give or taking how long the judges need to deliberate. Thanks 2134.dancer!

It would totally be a headache to figure that out! lol Basically, the candidates are expected to maintain a certain weight. Certain body types are more forgiving of weight gain than others, but in the end how weight issues are handled are subjective, most likely depending on several factors.

Veronica and Brittany Schram were brought into TC with weight issues too. I don't think Hannah was brought into TC simply to be cut for weight as an example. I think she was brought back because she was really good, and then given warnings to lose the weight. When she didn't appear to be making a concerted effort to lose the weight, then she was cut as and used as an example that Vets - even Vets brought into TC - could be cut for weight. But I don't think that was the original intent of her bringing her to TC. JMO, of course! :)

I know the "finals" as a whole is comprised of 3 parts: interview/solo/field. 16 judges grade the candidates on their solo/field performance, but with only 6 or so sitting in on the interviews, that skews the judging panel if not all 16 judges get to vote on how the girls answered their interview questions. So I wondered if the remaining 10 judges got to watch video tape of the interviews so they could enter their vote on how the candidates handled themselves. Maybe we'll never know how that's handled. Maybe. That's as good a guess as any. :)

I feel bad for Caila. Maybe they'll give her a shot like they did Hannah. Or maye she doesn't look as out of shape as she appears in photos. :( Apparently the final solos are projected onto a screen in on the field; something like that. So fans can go in and watch. I think next January we should begin planning out PreviouslyTV DCC get-together! lol

Totally! I'm not sure how she doesn't just topple over! And her hands/fingertips are so relaxed and elegant, her toes pointed... Man, just outstanding. I think she's trying not to throw up because of nerves. lol

I was speaking about the Interviews in particular. Since only 5 or 6 judges are at the interviews, do all the remaining 10 or 11 judges also vote on Interviews, or only the 6 or so attending...

Question I have on the voting for the Interviews - since only 5 or 6 judges are present in the interviews, do only their votes count toward the candidate, or are the interview watching and voted on by the complete 16 judge panel...?

No need to apologize for your opinion. We're all entitled! And Sam's possibly auditioning for DCC has been rumored and talked about here on the board a LOT. So it's not a leap to comment on her not being DCC ready. I've thought for a long time that if Sam wanted to audition for DCC she'd need to work to mold her body into a more DCC-acceptable shape. Nothing wrong with the way she is now. She's totally cute! She's just not DCC and she may not have any interest in being one either. :)

I've got family in Dallas too. We should all make a plan to go next year!

Danielle has never had a 6-pack; never has, never will. She looks just fine like she has every other year. Caila didn't look good in that shot. It was a mistake to wear leggings; it looks as though she's a bit out of shape. But I hope it was just the shot that was bad and she won't get cut.

Everyone says that about Melissa all the time. But its her body type. She's got a more square body type with very little hour glass waist. That's why everyone is always saying she looks heavy. I think if Grace Sells had audition now instead of 7 years ago, she'd have made the squad, because she had the exact same body type as Melissa. I don't know if her dancing was as good as Melissa, but I thought she was good. Holly P has the same body type too. Dance skills go a long way to forgiving a non-hour glass body type. I think Amy looks terrific! I so wish I could see these girls dancing. Darn it.

Kinda gotta agree. It's like seeing another Kathryn D. But I have to admire her determination to get what she wants. This will be her 5th year auditioning.

I voting hardcore for Kelsey Lowrence. If Kelli and Judy won't give that girl a damn break, then I'm going to do my best to get her into TC! They've let plenty of girls into TC with stupider answers than that, like Carla Ann.

They have a Vet to follow for filming the video clip because they learned the dance sequence only that morning. Hopefully it'll help enough so they get through it without messy up (too much). :)

Does anyone know if little blond-haired Kaitlyn from Plano, TX auditioned this year? I don't think I've seen her name mentioned. She was the one in the preliminary round that Kelli said came "highly recommended from the dance world," but she didn't make it into the finals. Anyone remember her and know if she auditioned again?

The Vet is there doing the dance, but it's not like these girls have had much time to practice. They're still probably gonna have some blips. Remember, these vids are done right after the finals candidates are announced. So the girls learned the sequence in the morning, had about 45 minutes to an hour to practice, then performed it for the judges - waited to find out whether they were going on to finals - then performed it again for the video. If the girls were smart, they'd practice the sequence while waiting for the judges to deliberate who was going on to finals. But since they don't really show that part on MTT, I don't know if they do.

Wow, I liked Karly's dance. I thought it seemed very fluid with a bit of attitude. :) One shot as far as I know. But there's one of the DCC Vets standing up front out of camera line doing it with them, so the gals don't forget.

While I think the choreography is way better than LY's train wreck, it still seems a bit disjointed in my eyes. I've only seen 2 videos though, so I may get used to it! I thought Kelsey looked really fun in hers, though should she be mouthing the words? lol I'd be right there with you!

BigSkyGal - Totally agree re Judy not wanting wanted Ashley on the squad; nor Breelan, for that matter. However, being a DCC takes more that dance skill. As we all know, it takes a combination of dance, looks and composure. I think Kelli and Judy compliment one another regarding who they choose to be on the squad. And I thought Ashley Pro had looks and composure in spades. Ah, well. (Breelan making the squad was more of a surprise for me than Ashley P. That startled look whenever she did something off, and the turtle neck would have, I'da thought, gotten her cut.) I don't know how much either Ashley or Breelan prepared for their 2nd auditions. They'd be fools not to prepare heavily - all the Vets would be. But we know good sense doesn't always rule the day when you're young, beautiful and a DCC, cause we've seen it over and over again.

Yes, Ashley Pro was a bubbler when she made the squad, but she did make the squad and Kelli/Judy knew what they were getting into. From the tiny bit we saw of her solo routine (if you've seen a full length version, I'd love to see it so would love a link!), it was rather the same as the solo routines that got her into TC twice. Yes, she pulled her one flip because she was afraid of landing on the spectators' laps, but that was the only flub we saw. Even Neil said her solo routine was "pretty good." She's not a technical dancer, so she's never going to have solos like the gals who have danced for years. Even taking dance throughout her Rookie year was not going to put her on par with the dancers. However, I mentioned and agree with you that she may have been a slow dance learner all year, so that probably played into her being a bubbler going into the finals. I'm sad, because I thought she got put on the spot A LOT during S9 TC, and handled it all with such grace and presence of mind. Just for clarification purposes: I didn't say Ashley P blamed Kelli or Judy for her not making the squad. Just putting that out there, cause that's how rumors get started! lol

I really have no idea who could get cut. As we've said before, Jasmine was a total shock. And I had thought Ashley P, though slower to pick up new choreography, had great tumbling skills and should have stayed on the squad. If what someone said earlier is true, in that Vets are only taught the new choreographed segment 2 days before finals, it's no wonder Ashley P messed it up. She has no real dance background and learns dances slower than nearly all the DCCs. Kelli and Judy knew that, and they brought her onto the squad anyway. So it wasn't really fair to make her learn something so fast then perform it unless she was dragging down the learn-time of the squad and had to go. Anyway, there's always a couple Rookie one-hit-wonders. I thought Kat might be one, for too flowy a style, maybe Jax cause of her looks and smile. I just don't know. And I agree that the only Vet I think might be in trouble for partying would be Caila. Guess we'll see!
