4eva, LadyC and I just gushed about her in her thread, so please come join us! I love Prue, too, by the way, and am always curious about what sort of relationship they'd have had.

What a phenomenal pro-Paige post! I have to admit that it's only with this most recent rewatch that I've started to truly LOVE Paige. I always liked her, but the fact that her characterization seemed poorly defined and inconsistent frustrated someone super obsessive like I am who needs to feel like I have a firmer grasp on who characters are supposed to be :) Posts in this thread---along with a little creative fanwanking---have given me that clearer idea of who she is, or at least who I see her as, and now she's skyrocketing up towards the top of my favorite characters list :) I think she throws her heart and soul into pretty much everything, which goes a long way towards explaining why I've come to love her so much. She's got a lot of spirit, energy and heart. I love that same passionate intensity about Prue and even Phoebe as well, but Paige throws herself into things with a little more joy than Prue and tends to be less focused on her personal needs and goals than Phoebe. I agree that she felt like helping people both supernaturally and otherwise was her true calling, and I love how she often viewed it as more of a pleasure and privilege than just an obligation. I love how she independently researched and practiced witchcraft---I, too, would take a certain geeky pleasure in knowing as much as possible :) One of the facets of Paige's character that at first seemed annoyingly inconsistent to me was how she'd vacillate between being all gung ho about togetherness, bonding, fitting in with her sisters, making sure everyone was getting along etc. and then, sometimes even within the same episode, be really obstinate and annoyed, insistent on doing things her own way, resentful about having to consult other people and give up her time and space etc. But I actually get it now---being an only child and living independently for a long time before suddenly acquiring these sisters who need you to live with them and realizing you have a whole destiny to follow is a massive change and explains a lot about her that I initially had trouble wrapping my mind around. As someone who's lived alone for a long time now, I totally get feeling torn between wanting to connect and bond and just really wanting/needing to stubbornly take my own path. And the thing about Paige that resonates with me most and which has already been touched on here and otherwise is that she's a searcher and kind of a restless (and slightly odd!) soul. She's often not quite sure if and how she truly belongs, tries a bunch of different career paths and even hair colors, and beneath her snarky toughness and apparent bravery sometimes feels really uncertain and insecure about her role as a sister, a witch and just a person. I can't wait to read it!

Lady C., can I beg you to go over to the Paige thread and talk in detail about why you love and relate to her? I'd love to read it and will probably agree with the majority of it :)

Our triumphant trio: Prue Piper Paige This pains me, but I have t vote against Piper. She's got so many great qualities and I've grown to like and appreciate her more than ever before, especially after reading some of your great posts, but she's got this tendency to be depressingly negative and constantly complain and nag about every little thing (which happens to be a pet peeve of mine!), and most of her many storylines with Leo didn't do either character any favors IMO. I'll probably be the only one to vote against her, though, so knowing my vote is most likely meaningless makes me feel less guilty about casting it :)

I'm so torn, because on one hand Cole was so much more important to the storylines, themes and overall show than Henry, and I did find him compelling and entertaining most of the time...but I just genuinely LIKE Henry so much more! So I'll sadly vote against Cole :)
