  1. In the episode where David and Elizabeth were cuddling on the couch, Elizabeth mentioned David marrying her because he "kinda had to", to which he responded something like he would have married her even if she weren't as big as a beach ball.  So I assume he had knocked her up and that's why they got married.  Why would they need a surrogate?  This was also the same conversation where Elizabeth mentioned he'd always liked brunettes btw.

  2.

I'll watch next season only if we get to see Elizabeth punch Lori in the face.

That would be nice, she should also punch David in the face.

I wonder if the producers were heading towards phasing Max out of next season. It seems like they intended to give Max the kiss off. I hope they see the fan reception to Max and keep him around. As another poster said, I don't care if he's with Taylor, I just want him around.

There was an interview posted yesterday where the show runner said in the beginning the plan was indeed for Max to die, she even told Alex Saxon when they started the season, but as they were prepping episode 10 the crouton scene got circulated online and people loved it and the network asked if they wouldn't kill him.  They realized they loved him and kept him.  So, he'll be back next season for sure.

  3. I cannot believe they ended it like that.  My poor heart aches for Elizabeth.

    Lori is a complete loon.

I have hope for Max and Taylor next season, no way they keep him off screen after he's become such a fan favorite.

  4.

I'm definitely interested to see what changes in season two now that the writers have audience feedback (which I assume is something they didn't have in season one; was everything filmed, or at least written, before any of it aired?).

I'm pretty sure they had filmed all but the last two episodes when the show premiered.

  5. There is no way in my mind Crash can be redeemed.  No matter his background, no decent human being would just leave after doing or seeing something like that.

Elizabeth and Carter shared their first hug, and then Taylor shut that down right quick.

At least David didn't get enough screen time to be a douchebag this week.

  6. Tuesdays episode is titled Love Story, the September 9th episode is titled The Long Goodbye, the finale is September 16th, but I haven't seen anything about it yet.

I really hope the long goodbye is not referring to Max.  I don't see how they could keep Crash if he killed Max, and then both the twins get new love interests next year.  Besides Max this show has sucked with the writing for the teen friends/boyfriends, I'd hate to see anymore new people.

  7. I'm not sure if these are spoilers, but I'll put it here anyway.

The showrunner confirmed in an interview we won't find out Lori's reasoning for kidnapping Carter this season.

Also, the woman who plays Lori, Milena Govich, has mentioned she knows why and how Lori kidnapped Carter and it made her cry.

She retweeted someone on twitter who guessed that Carter was Lori's child with David, then a few days later at a Finding Carter cast party they had at Baskin Robbins was asked about the abduction, where she said that "no one would guess, and it's crazier than you think".  So she knows people are already guessing Carter is her bio kid, but yet says a few days later that no one would guess, I'm not sure if that puts that theory to rest, but there ya go.

Also I hate when actors on tv say, oh you'll never guess, it's the best twist ever!  And someone always guesses right long before the reveal.

  8.

Not since she played Annie Dutton on my beloved "Guiding Light" have I enjoyed Cynthia Watros in any role as much as I do her as Elizabeth.

Annie Dutton was awesome.  Totally crazy but yet you couldn't help but love her.

I think Gabe may be growing on me.  Probably only due to his lack of screen time as of late, he hasn't been on enough to show his annoying side.

  9. I cannot fathom, in any universe, Carter ever wanting to be friends with Bird again.  So I'm sure next week they'll be back to being besties.

    Six reallys, Awwww.

David got caught, finally!  He's just so freaking weird, I mean smashing the cookies, ugh.

It's nice how in the beginning Elizabeth was so cold and standoffish and now she's really sweet and motherly towards her kids, caressing and hugging them.  I feel really bad for her.  She's by far the best parent on this show, affair and all.

    Pizza....or...death? [/Eddie Izzard]

I actually meant I'd rather eat any other food, lol, but yeah I find all pizza tastes the same, some more crusty, some more greasy, I'm just odd.

  11.

    Wait for it...

    I don't like pizza.

I'm with ya.  I can eat pizza, but if I have a choice between pizza and pretty much anything else, I pick the other thing.  The best thing about pizza is the crust for me.

  12.

Which makes me question how did Elizabeth end up with him to begin with. Is he just a total sociopath and master manipulator and Elizabeth didn't see that in their early relationship or did the kidnapping affect him too, but in a different way? I don't understand it.

Wasn't it implied that he knocked her up and they 'had' to get married?  Now why she stayed with him, who knows.  I think were supposed to see that the kidnapping affected how everyone in that family turned out.  Elizabeth went icy, David went douchebag, Taylor had to be perfect in her mind, and Grant is forgotten.

  13. I think my favorite part was Max's reaction to the news of the affair.

No, Bird, Ofe, and very little Gabe.  Now if we could only get rid of Crash.

The dad drives me nuts, half the time I want to strangle Carter, but I still love the family scenes.

  14. But the worst character is David. He's completely baffling. Snidely Whiplash one second, "cool Dad" the next, cuckolded husband, frustrated writer -- I know these things about him and yet I still don't know what he wants. He doesn't seem to even like Elizabeth. And I have bought some of the moments between him and Carter, he does seem to like connecting with her (beyond the fact that she's closer to him than Elizabeth). But he's still secretly writing the damn book. And what was the outcome of his taking the hotel room key last week? Is he planning to gaslight her? If so, he should step up his game and avoid the obvious double-entendres with Gabe's father. Everything he's doing is going to blow up so damn big, and yet he feels like he's the injured party. Alexis Denisof deserves better!

I spend every episode trying to figure out the dad.  I agree he seems to dislike Elizabeth yet he was so happy when she praised him after that phone call that he kissed and went to have sex with her.  It's was like he pathetically needed her approval.

  15.

Also, I didn't hear the intro -- can anyone tell me what the preview was for? It looked like it covered a lot more than the next episode. Was that a "rest of the season" type of promo?

Yeah it was a promo for the rest of the season.  I think there are 5 episodes left.

  16. I don't get the dad at all.  Does he want to punish his wife or sex her up?  Then on the phone with Lori she tells him not to underestimate her....again.  Something is clearly up there.

I continue to hate the friends.

The rest I like.  Even the bitchy grandma.  I was happy we got to see more with the twins. I will be super happy when Carter realizes out of her 3 parents, the one she likes least seems to be the only one she should really want to know.

  17.

But when Carter finally does come around, I won't see it as coming from no where. I've seen the very small building blocks in the past two eps, which is good for me because I don't think I could tolerate Carter much longer if she wasn't slowly starting to change her opinions on everyone involved.

Totally agree.  Carter is getting on my nerves, but it would be totally unreal if she was automatically ready to accept her new family.  I've read about real life cases where kids were kidnapped or switched at birth and a lot of times those things end sadder than you'd think they would.

I like how you can just tell by Carter's face her feelings are changing.  If she accepted Elizabeth and the family right away it wouldn't be much of a show.

  18. A similar thing happened when EJ DiMera cheated on his fiance Sami Brady on Days of Our Lives. Twitter basically exploded with outrage, with EJami shippers calling both the character of the 'interloper, Abby Devereaux,' and the actress who played her a slut, even though EJ was only her second sexual partner and he was the one who was in a murder ballad of a relationship at the time. Apparently in some ways we really still are living in the fifties, I guess.

They are still calling Abby a whore!  My UO on this is that I thought EJ and Abby were super hot.

I like Under the Dome.  Yes, I know it's stupid, but I don't care, I find it entertaining.  I actually think this season is better than last season as well.

  19. I like this show despite some things that drive me crazy.  To start off with I'd lose most of the friends.  I dislike Gabe, Ofe, Bird and Crash and I feel like they take away time we could see Carter bonding with her family.  I much prefer the family scenes.  Carter does annoy me at times, but I do feel that were slowly seeing her care for the Wilson's.  I also like the actress, even if I want to shaker Carter at times.

All that said this episode wasn't the best, especially since imo last week was the best episode we've seen so far.  The Gabe/Taylor date was pretty pointless, it was odd how Gabe seemed totally over Carter.

I'm not understanding what David is doing, why doesn't he just confront Elizabeth?  It's odd when I feel bad for the person who's cheating, but David is super weird.

Carter and Bird have the worst friendship ever.  To be fair though, in high school I did know girls who swapped guys all the time like that.  I never understood it.

Oh, and I saw the other say that the guy playing the grandpa on this show is the real life dad of Chris Pine.  Chris Pine is a hottie.

Anyway, here's hoping next week is better.
