I'm down to final 2 episodes to go and finding Donny dishonest, lazy, selfish and unattractive in every sense of the word and just incredibly unlikeable.  What a damp, spineless waste of skin.  I just can't believe that anyone could find this morose sailcat sexually beguiling or in any degree loveable but here he is with ex-girlfriend infinitely out of his league and new love interest who seems to have personality, education and brains until going into deep depression because he can't perform sexually...nah, nope it's just not believable that even the most mentally ill of deranged stalkers wouldn't have lost interest by week 2.

I finished watching all the episodes today and I've been all over the place in how I feel about Donny. The same holds true for Martha as well, but much more him.

    Spoiler

I just about lost it when he goes back to see Darrien again and has a lovely little chat.

Donny and Martha  were each trains speeding on the wrong tracks but headed for a massive collision.

Yeah it is interesting because I ready that interview yesterday and then it turned out he didn't change that much. I think in this case we have to take into account that PR people probably told him what to say in interviews.

I haven't found any reports indicating that the identity of the real life stalker has actually been confirmed to date.  There are obviously people who know but as far as the general public goes so far it's a "Who Knows?" situation as it appears to be speculation only at the moment.

This is not that true, the real Martha has been identified. She is still active on facebook and she is not that different. Even the casting is close to what she looks like.

    Interesting.

I based my comment from this quote from Gadd, "I honestly couldn’t speak as to whether she would watch it. Her reactions to things varied so much that I almost couldn’t predict how she’d react to anything. She was quite an idiosyncratic person. We’ve gone to such great lengths to disguise her to the point that I don’t think she would recognize herself. What’s been borrowed is an emotional truth, not a fact-by-fact profile of someone," he said."

Anyone watching?  I am halfway through. Very interesting to me.

I'm about two or three in so far. She is scary and he's essentially an enabler regardless if he felt sorry for her or not.  Jessica Gunning is doing a really good job with the role. I'm really curious about the real "Martha".  I've read that Gadd said he wrote her with so many differences that the real "Martha" probably wouldn't recognize herself.

  5. She really doesn't have the desperation (be it monetary or fame/attention driven) that is shared by the most iconic housewives.  She seems to live an upscale life of the stable variety with enough sense to keep her feet on the ground. Since her arrival on the scene I have had the sense she is a mean girl at heart and luckily landed in a marriage that allows her to rub shoulders with people she deems more worthy of her time.  I still view her as a trophy wife not unlike what Erika thought she was getting herself into, just less trashy in her conduct and demeanor.  I was going to say smarter than, but Erika is actually far from stupid in the street smarts sense at least.  Crystal came in her first season swinging at the low hanging fruit (Sutton) which in the end was a bust and waste of time on her part.  I think aligning herself with Sutton and Garcelle from the start would have been a better move on her part than looking to make her mark by taking one of them down for no good reason other than they were not part of the self-appointed cool girl tribe.

  6. The lies!  The deceit!  The unnecessary and life changing debt suffered by so many for no good reason!  If someone is feeling particularly grumpy this series is an excellent way to redirect anger.

I'm hoping that these people whose lives and finances were destroyed by the post office and their software get some kind of justice by the end of this show.

Just as bad as the monetary debt is the destruction of character and reputations which many held just as, if not more valuable.

I don't know if that was lazy wiriting or just trying to fill time.

Probably both? I really felt like they had enough story for less episodes but are obligated to produce more so aside from the few minutes of personal story progression they stretched the bus break down into this pretty much waste of time.

  8. Quiet around here. Yet another decent show that hasn't had enough publicity.  I almost didn't watch it myself but I'm glad I did and was able to binge six shows at once because I held off by dismissing at first as something I probably wasn't going to be interested (I was wrong).

This was my least favorite episode to date because most of it felt too much like it was just a filler episode. So far...it's fluffy overall, but it throws in enough meat to give the main characters some flesh.  I'm mostly curious about Scott Foley's character and whether there will eventually be some big scandal involving him.

Oh my god judging by that trailer Jackie is still there…..WHY??  Did she somehow finagle housewife status again??

Since the cast photo glamour shots for the upcoming season don't show either Jackie or Jenn Fessler it appears they'll be "friends of" again which seems unfair considering their amount of involvement last year.  It leaves me wondering what the reason is behind that.

Why invite Gia though? I am glad she ditched the loser she met on the show but she is with a completely different partner.

To show that production makes baffling choices?  I wonder if there was another couple planned that had to pull out and they needed to fill the seats on the set that had already been planned and prepared.

I thought it was funny that the blonde was bragging that she was involved in casting the show.  Why didn't the casting catch the players like Trevor.  He had a girlfriend and just wanted publicity.

Interesting that she up the job which for which she expressed she had such an attachment during her season in order to join production. From Pediatric Speech and Language Pathologist to casting?  I think we now have an explanation for some of the people chosen to appear on reality shows.  I can't help but wonder how romping around in her underwear on camera and OTT PDA was received by colleagues and clients in her previous profession.

The producers probably could have just skipped having Trevor on the reunion show, and spared everybody the torture.

I think they did it as a cautionary tale for people entertaining similar ideas in the future by letting them know they will be humiliated on TV if it comes to light.  It wouldn't surprise me to learn there is a clause in their contracts making reunion attendance mandatory.  I'm not sorry they showcased him and those messages considering the sympathetic edit he received during the episodes.

All in all this wasn't a great season.  I still think season one of Sweden is the best.

  11. I think AD needs to differentiate between looking fine and being fine. She mentioned Clay's looks too many times for it not to be a thing with her. She seems to even put a big emphasis upon looks regarding herself considering how she preened, postured, and commenced shimmying when her own looks were mentioned.  That ridiculously slitted gown!  It would benefit her to see beyond the physical. She's got more to offer than that and deserves better in return.

Did they run short on best song nominees? Didn't want to give Barbie a third song nomination? Just nominated it because of Diane Warren? Because that song was...... not good.

My thoughts exactly. It was like a record skipping.

It seems all responsible for inserting Leah into what had been a successful and popular franchise are now getting their just deserts. Plenty of viewers recognized her as a bad casting choice from the very start, but production, et al. doubled down by bringing her back for a second season and even inserting her into Ultimate Girls Trip where she again was not a successful fit.

Let's guess if Leah would have had any issue to complain about had she continued to receive the positive attention from Andy and production that she appeared to get in her first season.

I can't help but think someone in the powers that be simply had a personal dislike for the original cast of RHoNY and slipped in Leah (and subsequently Eboni as well) hoping they would contribute to tanking the existing franchise and cast so that they could have an excuse to cancel and reboot.  Fans be damned.  Personally I suspect that ageism against the cast and desired viewer demographics played a major role.

Hope they enjoy reaping what they have sown.

AD's eyelashes were driving me nuts.  The one was on at a different angle.  I just looked at her eyelashes the entire time.  Clay's sister also had a lot of distracting hardware on her face.

AD's eyelashes have been driving me nuts from day one.  I HATE them.  I would love for someone to do a style makeover for her.  She looks so CUTE in her glasses.  I would love to see how she looks in a full natural hair with smaller lashes.

Those damn lashes!  This is a trend that people are going to look back upon in horror when they see old pictures of themselves in the future.

AD was shown with either her own natural lashes or possibly a shorter pair of false ones in at least one scene and looked so much prettier when one could actually see her eyes.

The sister's nose rings were way OTT.  My distraction was trying to get an exact count but the camera didn't hold long enough.  I know, to each their own, but I would hope someone would stop me if I had that notion.

I felt what AD said to kenneth really messed him up, and the whole black excellence thing. I think kenneth tho would ha e figured it out. Im just flabbergasted by how much ken changed!! I sinply adored him and boom hes not nice or kind at all. Kind of scary.

Sadly, I think Brittany simply couldn't compete once his soulmate arrived on the scene...of course I'm referring to his phone.

  16. I'm glad they didn't throw non-reality veterans into the mix again, but, I'd rather the entire show were made up of non-reality veterans.  I'm so tired of seeing the same people hanging on to the threads of their TV notoriety.  One of the reasons I stopped watching their original shows was because of people being brought back again, particularly since I couldn't stand many of them on their first go round.  Good riddance, Parvati.

Dorit...is the product of a New England upbringing.  I live in Boston now and going to cities outside Boston in Mass and CT resulted in seeing a lot of Dorits (female and male versions)...it was eye opening.

I grew up within 10 miles of where Doris is from in Connecticut. She is not typical of the area.

  18. I wish someone would have put a muzzle on Krisse-ly during the reunion.  I get the vibe she considers herself to be the alpha and all wise female of the group. Her chiming in on matters unrelated to herself and Rasmus was annoying.

Good luck to Amanda who seems like a genuinely nice person. I still don't understand how she wound up with Sergio, let alone marrying and having his child.

I wonder how much Lukas had an issue with Emilia physically or was it also her personality.  She was very high on self-esteem.  Great for her but that doesn't always make for a good match with others when it's OTT, often stated and perhaps not fully warranted. I mean in her mind she's a great catch, but some other people could have a different gauge of measurement for that.

Catja and Christopher...what is there to say. Just a really bad match. It was obvious that she immediately felt it when they met in person.  Did she remain as long as she did to see if it would work or because of the television and travel experience? Who knows.

I was glad to see that Oskar and Meira seem happy.

This franchise seemed more real than a lot of other reality shows.  It will be interesting to see how things go with any future seasons.
