  1. Kudzu was imported by the government from Japan to stop roadside erosion in the southern states. I suppose it works but no one can tell since ground is not visible under the kudzu. It's all over Alabama, that I do know.
  2. Young Mr Moose looks like he has been on the Pilates chair with those skinny legs.
  3. Interesting. In the South, we say bathing suit. Or just "suit". Ex: don't go out naked, get your suit on.
  4. TT and Booney, great video and picture. Love them both. Thanks
  5. Yea !!! World Giraffe Day. My favorite wild animal. Hence the pic.
  6. No ennui, you are not the only dog person. Even though I'm kittygirl, I am very much a dog person. That's why my hubby calls me kittygirl...because I love dogs. Yeah, he's weird.
  7. @Bronx Babe, thinking of you tonight. It's a difficult time but you did all you could to make her days peaceful. That was a gift you gave her that came from a heart of love. Blessings to you.
  8. Mr. Number App... if you get spam calls on your cell try it. Free, no ads, works. Really works.
  9. Lowes at one time had the cool towelettes. Our land line does not ring in, just goes to answer machine. Mostly robocalls. On cell phones, we use an app, Mr. Number, free and works to block spam, robocalls, unwanted callers, spam texts. Have used it for couple years. Available for android and iphone. Plus..no ads. It really works. You can set it up to what works for you. It just blocks them without even ringing in. I highly, highly (LR) recommend it.
  10. I buy my L&L type containers at TJM and Ross. Cheaper and work as well for me. Have round and rectangular pieces of all sizes with maybe $30 invested.. 18 or maybe 20 containers. Colors too. I stopped buying from shopping channels couple years ago. Snark and idea watcher now.
  11. I'm really picky about movies and Love Actually is so good. It's on broadcast a lot and streaming too. We watched it again couple weeks ago.
  12. @Cricket, you and your Joe are in my prayers as you battle this. You have more strength than you give yourself credit for. We are all here for you whenever you need a bunch of shoulders.
  13. Been traveling and just saw your sad news @Bronx Babe. I'm so very sorry. I believe she was aware of your presence in her final days. I also believe you will be aware of her presence with you in the days to come. The bond you have with her truly never goes away.
  14. @Lord Donia, my prayers and thoughts for healing and peace for you and your father. It's difficult to be far away. Makes you feel helpless.
  15. @Bronx Babe, I have been praying for you and your mom. I was with my mom when she passed after 3 days in a coma...and a 2year battle. It was so very peaceful and comforting for me, not like I feared at all. Now it's a memory that is precious. Even after 34 years, I miss her so. Knowing her final days were peaceful and pain free means so much. I know you are in a quandry about your brother but I don't have any experience...only child. I think I would call , if only to remove any remorse for myself. Then things are on him. After my time with my mom, I do believe she knows you are there with her. Blessings to both of you.
  16. @walnutqueen, those pups can tell a good person instinctively. So happy to see you here.
  17. Have to drive an hour for Red Robin and 1 1/2 hour for Cheesecake Factory. Red Robin wins every time. Better and more fun. And the shakes !
  18. @opinions, It is a back and forth thing. I just skim over or block...ignore button...certain posters who bug me. And then there are just some who have to be *right* in their own minds so why bother with them? Dad said those folks were like arguing with a stump...
  19. I still like the Hunters shows becsuse I enjoy seeing the different areas. So at times I tune in. The difference is I watch with the sound off. No whining spoiled, bitchy bratty airheads that way.
  20. Healing prayers and thoughts for your Mom BB.
  21. I will go outside or walk across the street in pjs , no bra. My rule is if I'm in the car I have on bra and clothes. Braless during those decades was one thing...in those days they pointed up and out. Now they are down and down.
  22. I totes agree. Ree is too much honey for a dime for me. Watched a while but then was just , "oh shut up woman. You're married to a millionaire and are a millionaire yourself. You have no idea what most people face". In fact I don't watch food network at all. The older I get the less patience I have for bs.
  23. I use my Mom's recipe for meatloaf. We're from Alabama so Southern cooks. Ground beef, onion, green pepper, egg, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce bread or cracker crumbs and two tablespoons milk to soak crumbs in. Soak for 10 or so minutes til soft then mix in. Agree about not overworking it. Form into loaf and chill for 20 minutes then bake. Use whatever amounts of meat and vegs you like. I make 2 lbs, 1 onion and pepper each. I'm not picky about cooking...for me recipes are suggestions. But the difference is soaking crumbs and chilling.
  24. Went to a family wedding this weekend. Bride had a strapless dress, sitting very low on the bewbs. At reception she kept adjusting it and wiggling bewbs into the dress. But she paid a lot for those puppies so it would be a shame not to let them show. At one point, mother of bride stopped at edge of dance floor, put her hands under her own bewbs and hoisted them up. Like mother, like daughter.
  25. Like that Tig bag. I have some older all leather ones of great quality and they still look good. But a newer blue one with vinyl handles , nope. Handles are cracking. I really need to toss it. Won't buy Tig again unless it's all leather. My current handbag is a Calvin Klein red Sofiano all leather. Yes it was a bit pricer at TJM than Tig but looks brand new after a year of carrying it every day. Money well spent. Crazy about the ducks, TT.
