I DEEPLY relate to Charli's food issues, and the dismissiveness/mockery from those who don't get it is why so many keep it to ourselves, as I did for most of my life. I'm glad she's talking about them at 24, and am happy people are at least trying to support her, even if many don't know how to. Even my best friend will say she doesn't really get it, but she never gaslights me over my eating disorder and I appreciate that. So many do.

While someone who smokes weed isn't "sober," it can be a completely life-saving alternative to alcohol for many. They're not equal. Not every addict should smoke cannabis, but I really hope the show after YEARS of promoting the way more dangerous drug alcohol, doesn't start to clutch pearls over weed.

It (Fancy AF Cocktails) really is. I was truly impressed by how beautiful it is, all the photography. Has a very rich feel. I also appreciate all the writing they put into it. And then the recipes are awesome! So much fun and all over the place. I've only made one so far, from the Trash section, an ersatz Bloody Mary. But definitely want to make more.

Oh man. I TRULY at first was giving him the benefit of the doubt, but he ruined it. Because I definitely could understand someone especially on that show worrying that they'd get too much plastic surgery. Raquel is naturally so beautiful, but everyone on that show was too and only Katie still really looks like herself anymore.
But no, he had to destroy that benefit of the doubt by continuing on!-

Thank you. I didn't come out as bi until I was in a committed relationship with a guy. I'm glad he didn't take personal offense to my wanting to be a more honest version of myself.
Straight people can have as many opinions about this as they want, but they're not the ones dealing within it, so they don't really concern me much.-

Anyway, I think it is perfectly valid for her to talk about her bisexuality in the context of being unhappy with this pastor's words, and I don't really see much reason to demand that she come out on my timetable, as opposed to her own.

I did after I was married (to a man). Rosario Dawson just did. Sometimes it's just about finally being honest about another part of yourself that you weren't before. And it's really freeing. Also kind of maddening when you realize how long you kept it hidden for whatever reasons, and knowing that people are going to judge you, say you're just greedy/want attention, etc. So I'm not on TV or anything, but I feel like I do get it!
Re: Britney and drinking and pregnancy. Tbh I knew I drank too much at her age, but always thought if the time came to have a baby, I'd stop. There was an ep where he said to her you like to drink, do you think you could stop if you were pregnant? And she answered yes in a way that made me believe her. You can be a heavy drinker with little to no self preservation, but have strong instincts that would kick in to protect someone else. I never ended up getting pregnant and just had to quit, but know that if I had, that would have immediately flipped a quit switch in me.-

I had to bow out of being a bridesmaid in my SIL-to-be's wedding because it's just TOO expensive! I think it's fine to go on vacation and have it be an *option*, but wrong to MAKE your friends spend SO much money because you made the choice to get married. Weddings are ridiculous.

The anonymity in AA isn't about your requirement to stay anonymous, just that you respect others' choice to "come out" -- or not -- as they see fit. "What you see here, what you hear here, when you leave here, let it stay here." And you don't go up to people in public and go "Oh hi it's ME from AA!!!" But you can share your own attendance however you choose.

My husband used to watch with me, but hasn't seen much of this or last season because he's been working Tuesdays when I watch. Anyway, he was home last night and said "Lala seems really jealous of Raquel. Like she doesn't want James for herself but she doesn't like not having him to adore her and be there unconditionally for her anymore." And I agree. She reminds me a lot of my ex's "bestie" in that way. It's exhausting to deal with if you're the Raquel in the equation.

I'm so happy for her!!! I knew it wasn't just Rand's influence to quit drinking, because she's been lamenting her problems with alcohol since before she was with him. This is so much better for her than dry drunking it on her own around a bunch of active drinkers. I bet she really thrives in the program. 🧡

All of this. I don't think Lala just got sober for Rand, because she's lamented having an issue with drinking since she joined the show. Or maybe since S5, but it's been awhile. As someone who finally quit drinking myself but took awhile to do it, I've felt her journey and was thrilled to read recently that she was five months sober. I really HOPE she's doing it for herself and the night of the hurricane-window shattering was just a catalyst. Doing it for another person rarely works. But it still really SUCKS to think you have a partner with you in the sobriety journey, only to have them flake out in a major way.
Also yeah, with the cheating or at least cheating-tangential behavior o' Rand. Dating a cokehead alcoholic with a propensity for cheating is NOT fun; I've been there, and there often feels like they have different rules set for themselves that doesn't apply to others. And if you're dealing with someone who's those things, and narcissistic AND rich af? Chances are, there's going to be a lot more tits and ass around that most people don't have to give a pass to in their ostensibly monogamous relationships. I feel bad for Lala and really wish she would get together with not James per se, but someone who she bonds with like that -- as a friend and trustworthy companion. Girl already has money and she's smart. I think she would be financially just fine on her own, while living a more authentic life.

My brother and SIL bought a big house because they loved it and they don't plan on having kids.
Regarding a place being dated, I'd just love to have a place to call my own. As long as it's clean, paint it orange, throw down a shag rug, and put up some wood paneling -- I don't care! I'd just be grateful to have one.-

Yeah, pot works differently for everyone, especially if you know what to shop for. Give me a good sativa and I'll clean and go for hours and hours with a focus I simply don't have otherwise. It also was the catalyst for my weight loss!
