The final acceptance was just…weird.  I nearly missed LW’s performance as I was so focused on FV’s emotionless, monotone reading from his phone.

My mom asked me if he had a stroke in the past.

Who has ever made it big in tv from this show?   Claudia has judged on Chopped, appeared as a guest judge on one of the baking shows and was invited to the qualifying round for Tournament of Champions but didnt get past the first round.  I think Eddie Jackson was a contestant.   He didn’t make it far on MC, but he has a nice career going on the Food Network.

Christine Ha has been really successful. Her cookbook was a NY Times bestseller and she was a James Beard nominee twice (2022 as a finalist and 2023 as a semi-finalist) for Best Chef Texas. She judged on Top Chef a little awhile ago too.

  3. I wouldn't mind if sober Petrovic joins the team. Too old to be a daughter surrogate for Voight!

I actually think it'd be interesting to see her and Burgess work together.

  4. I am really hoping the switch in networks hasn't resulted in a refocus of the show, because the crazy rescues with humour or weirdness was a hallmark of the show and a big reason why I watch and enjoy this over other shows.

  5. Both for Casey. It just seems like Wolf is obsessed with giving people children. It is SO weird - I think it stood out so much more binging the series' too.

  6. So I have been powering through every episode of every One Chicago shows the last few months. *whew*

What is Dick Wolf's obsession with characters finding an abandoned kid and wanting to adopt them? Dawson, Cruz, Casey, and now Brett on Fire, Maggie on Med, Ruzek and Burgess on PD. This has happened on FBI and SVU as well.

I am tired of the baby rabies. I'd rather see some characters not want any damn kids for a change.

  7. It was nice to see a decent reading challenge again.

I enjoy the All Stars seasons because everyone's stress level is down and they all seem to have more fun. I get it - the pressure of making your career is off - and I really enjoy the vibe of it way better than regular Drag Race.

  8. I love that they have Delilah in an appropriate wheelchair. You always see characters (whose actors aren't paralyzed and using their own chairs) in those horrible, inaccurate hospital wheelchairs, so I really like that attention to detail.

  9. I was just thinking the same thing while watching - all of the characters have some very obvious unsympathetic behaviours and yet I don't find myself hating any of them.

I think it helps that the characters are always pointing out each others' flaws. So you know they know their flaws. I also like that they aren't able or willing to make any huge sweeping changes of themselves like you'd usually see on TV. It's so much more realistic that everything is baby steps forward and then big falls backwards.

  10. You know, I loved Sonny back in the day (the Brenda era), but seeing a seething 60-something man act like this is just ... sad. I really can't stand the character now. Grow up, Sonny.

Then there's Carly The Saint who can commit an actual crime and still end up the victim alongside Drew acting like violence is the answer to everything, too bad he can't do it whenever he wants.

And then you have Nikolas wanting to destroy the mother of his kid, who was manipulated by serial killer parents and Michael controlling everything about his wife and being shocked she's mad.

The men on this show are trash.

  11. I really freaking hate Michael. I wasn't a huge fan of Austin, but I'd trade him for Michael being dead on the floor in a heartbeat.

WTF was up with Ava talking to Dante. Does she want to get arrested? I kept wondering if someone was drugging her because she was acting weird.

These storylines are all so boring (with the possible exception of Ava and the murder mystery as long as it turns out it's Ryan Chamberlain who is not dead because I need this in my life).

If I was the regular writers, I'd be so embarrassed.
