Avery is going to Bobbies for the night? What about going to Ava's. Ava needs to get her child.

I guess they paid TG for having his photo in the episode, but no flashbacks. He's not dead.

I didn't hate that Bobbie was doing a sleepover with the kids. I would imagine all the hugs and snuggling would be a welcome distraction.

I assume they didn't use clips because Tony Geary isn't dead and it'd be super confusing to people who aren't longtime watchers. I don't know why they 'killed' Luke off now, but I wish they'd get to it quickly. We have that one comment from Victor about him being out of the way. Hopefully we don't have to wait till November ratings to get this dealt with.

I think Bela is being set up for a romantic storyline with the non-creepy editor.  It was really cool how the show had him take a breath and acknowledge his initial bad reaction as well as acknowledge all the personal reasons he had in maintaining the current power structure (he's living in the creepy editor's apartment, etc).

I thought the same thing, especially after that scene where she ran up to him after the party.

I thought the Brando/Sasha/Liam story was done really well. I even gave a bit of a pass to Sonny's sharing because no matter the age of the person, it can be very hard to accept that it is time to let them go, and you can feel that you've failed by not saving them somehow.

    Yeah, same.

Having had to make that decision twice (not for babies), I can tell you it isn't easy and even though your logical brain is telling you it's the right thing to do, your emotions always get the best of you.

I still hate that Sonny had to be a part of the story at all, but I didn't hate the Mike comparison.

I think Mrs. Wu will fake Peter’s death to use him to help her take out Sonny and get control of his territory.  Which would make her the best character of all time.

Since Sonny couldn't promise his family wouldn't help Brad on the parole front, this could be where it goes. Not quite sure how I feel about it because it's just more Peter, but here we are

I love Erika’s narrative about moving to NYC at 18, as if there was no baby involved.  I thought the visit to the bikini bar in NJ was an odd placement.  Nothing came out of it.

I wonder if the NJ visit might have been a more involved storyline for an episode, but as the season went on the stories uhh, got bigger and they had to cut stuff. They could have had a tradeout agreement with the place, so they had to use at least part of it somewhere and here we go.

Is that why there were so many?? I was catching up and had to come here to find out what the fuck was up with all these flashbacks. I ended up deleting two shows before it even finished.

It definitely seems like they're using flashbacks to stretch out what they have shot as long as they can. And it seems like they re-cut some of these episodes really quickly and without a ton of planning. I totally get it, they probably didn't have a lot of time to come up with a plan.  I am hoping however many episodes they have coming up will be better thought out than the first batch of flashback-infused episodes.

Whoever wrote Liesl's lines today earned every dime of their paycheck. Literally everything that came out of her mouth slayed. I definitely don't need Liesl to be a major player, and don't even really care about who tried to kill her, but a sprinkling of pissy, shit-talking Liesl does a body good.

My favorite line was her telling Valentin, "I know this house quite well. I was holding people hostage here long before you showed up!"

I loved it when she said, " I was holding people hostage here long before you came to town."

I hit send before I saw your post, Rur. Great minds! So funny

  8. I'm just gonna come out and say it: I haven't minded the recent Sonny/Carly/Jason scenes.

HEAR ME OUT, I HAVE REASONS.

It has nothing to do with them, their storyline, their acting. I barely listen to what they're saying.

I simply love that they're using the Corinthos kitchen set a lot for those scenes. It is fabulous and I kind of covet the decor!!

    I'm not horrible, right???

  9. I was a blubbery mess during yesterday's and today's episodes. Not so much because it was Oscar but because it reminded me of my last moments with a loved one before they passed. We're coming up on the anniversary and I've just been emotional. My cry today was about as ugly as Cameron's.

    11 hours ago, AuxArx said:

One thing I wondered about:  why wasn't Oscar covered up when they took him away?  Wouldn't he either be in a body bag, or covered completely?  Nit picky, I know.

And then this happened and it almost took me out of it. I get where they were trying to go with the scene, but they could have brought him out of the room on the stretcher (without us having to see Billy kinda flop the kid on there and them cover him haphazardly) and stopped in the hallway. It might have even been more emotional, tbh.

The rest of the episode? I... don't even want to talk about. Frickin' DoD, man...  🙄

  10. It was really amazing to me how Carly could be bound in a trunk, out cold for however long it took to get to Niagra Falls, thrown over... whatever wall that was, and she somehow woke up practically unscathed with her hair fanning out perfectly.

Do you mean in the shows format or in her actions/responses? I've noticed that she keeps to RMS's storytelling device but, I assumed that was normal when covering, you basically have to keep to the show's theme.

I also think it comes from the Show's Producers abs writers who obviously help craft each episode.

I mean her delivery. I work in tv so I appreciate the need to keep the format the same, but her actual delivery of lines is what takes me out of it at times.

  12. I'm just gonna come out and say it. The credits scene with Jordan going through his 27 "looks" made me giggle.

He's still a tool, but that cracked me up.

Colton has annoyed me from the beginning on The Bachelorette and the tradition continues on Paradise. Ugh. Please, go away.

    Wills, I miss you already.

  13. I LOVED Becca's turquoise necklace on the 3-on-1 date.  She's had some great jewelry this season!

I kinda like Jason, despite his Donald Trump Jr hairstyle. I'd be OK with him or Wills as the next Bachelor (wardrobe would have a blast with him!!).

Is it me, or does Leo resemble the dude from Joe Millionaire? Not the hair, of course. But the face..

The show spent weeks planting the seeds of Jordan being sick by making her cough all over the place, and after acknowledging her health scare once she immediately gets a clean bill of health? Okay? What an unnecessary and strange way to facilitate Curtis proposing, but he sold the hell out of those scenes. It sucks that he put everything on the line and Jordan's too blind and scared to take him seriously.

Dear Curtis, I will marry you. Call me.

Today I realize that "not Barbara Jean's heart" line is always going to make me cry

When I saw that scene, I had to pause the DVR and have a massive cry. Granted, I have some other emotional life stuff happening right now, so that could have also had something to do with it. But omg, that scene is just so raw...

    HA!!

I've heard using coconut oil for popcorn is a great alternative to butter and all. Shannon knows her stuff, apparently. And now I'm going to have to try it. Ok, so watching has had some sort of positive effect already!

I'm so sorry that you have been sucked into the abyss. Say goodbye to your previous life!

WHY didn't anyone warn me about this???

That being said, I'm going to end up hating everyone on this cast, aren't I? Except for Shannon, who according to Ross makes the best popcorn ever known to man.

  18. So, I have never watched an episode of Big Brother, was passing by the live feed tonight and flipped it on to see what the hype was about (oh, and to get a glimpse of Omarosa in action).  I don't know any of the rules or how people get voted out or anything. I assume I'll pick it up as I go along? Because now I'm hooked. Crap.

That was a lovely moment with RP at the end.  Unexpected and sweet.

Every once in awhile this show gets it right. The Nina/Maxie scenes on Friday were just that. Having lost a brother, I was definitely in touch with all those emotions and that last moment hit me in a way I was definitely not quite ready for. Took me a few minutes to recover. Kudos to them.

Going to miss the last 30 minutes of today's episode here in NYC.  Special Report.  Some crazy in a truck moved down a ton of pedestrians on the West Side Highway Bike Path.  Gun fight with police.  Sigh.  Crazy world we live in.  Can someone please re-cap?

Looks like the NY incident could be terror related. Sigh, indeed.

And in LA, we have a hostage situation at an elementary school, so we won't be seeing today's episode at all.

So I'll second the request for a recap.

    5) Rachel is mad at the show for how her relationship with Bryan has been portrayed, but she is directing most of her anger about this at Peter.  Which is some Bullshit.

    6) Rachel doesnt want any of her final four to be the Bachelor? That's some more BS.  Girl has some jealousy issues.

    7) I'm glad Rachel didnt choose Peter.  Because they are not compatible, as evidence by their fight. If you and a partner can't find a way to compromise on issues that are important to you both, you won't work long term.  So even though I was #TeamPeter, I don't think they were actually a good fit.  But I didnt think that til their fight.

    8) Rachel's "Best life" comment might be the bitchiest thing I have ever seen said on this show.  That is NOT how you respond to someone who has sincerely apologized for something they have admitted was wrong, cruel, and unnecessary. Its not the comment that's wrong, its the context.

Call me crazy, but I have a feeling the Rachel we saw in the live portion of that finale was more of the "real" her.  No way to cut out the shade being thrown on that stage during the live show. I'd guess there is plenty on the cutting room floor, though.

Did I hear this right?  Did she actually say "Give it to me" when she saw the ring at the proposal?!

    Yep. Super romantic, right? Hmm...

Also not romantic? The freaking WIND.

Production, you had a huge church RIGHT THERE. I know that wind didn't just kick up at the last second. Why couldn't you just move the proposal into the building? There had to be room for a multi-camera set-up. No, you don't get those sweeping shots like you did outside, but geez - get 'em after the actual proposal when we don't need to hear everything they're saying!!

(Not that I cared, I wasn't a big Bryan fan from the get-go, but still..,)
