Some shy people love to perform--it's a way of them getting to step outside of themselves. I knew a guy in high school who was pathologically shy--like literally could not bear to hold a conversation with people. But he loved doing theater.

I did theater, speech, and debate starting in grade school and continuing all the way through college. Wasn't too terrible at it and always loved it. I am also shy to a point that is pathetic (I'm even reluctant to post this because it feels like I'm interrupting). For some reason, public speaking was never a problem. It actually felt like I had a reason to have someone's attention and wasn't being a bother.

Olivia Coleman's and Tobias Menzies's acting in the scene when they're told the preliminary news about the accident is *fantastic.*

    I thought so, too.

LOL (We all break, Natalie! At some point, WE ALL BREAK!!!)

I defended Frankel during the season she returned (that whole food thing with Heather in the Berkshires? - I defended Bethenny! - the shame of those posts haunt me still... )

The Frankel mask started to slip (for me) when I finally realized how privileged her childhood had been (the $$ sweet sixteen party, skiing trips to Europe,  chi chi boarding school, her Dad paying her rent in her twenties, etc) which was at odds with the whole hardscrabble story she'd always presented.  Add in finding out that her father did not (as she claimed) abandon her at the age of four, and her whole persona seemed like a carefully crafted con; a persona built to win over an audience hungry to root for someone they could genuinely like - in the middle of all these rich bitch housewives -  this scrappy chick with an old school accent,  just trying to lay claim to her own piece of Manhattan.  When it truth, Frankel's childhood was full of the kind of privilege Ramona and Luann could only dream of one day having as adults.

I like to think she was genuine early on (back when I found her charming and funny) but over the years,  @Alonzo Mosely FBI has made an excellent case arguing otherwise - that Frankel has always been selfish and dismissive  - so I'm on the fence about whether Bethenny used to be someone else and changed for the worse, or never was the person she pretended to be.

Yes. This is it. All of this is the reason why I finally saw B for who she is. The way she rewrites everything in her life to suit her "victim" narrative. Her childhood, her marriage, every situation that she feigned to find herself in, homeless, lost at sea, bleeding to death, on an airplane with deadly fish, in an uber with a mean driver. She is just so manipulative, dishonest, dramatic, disengenouis, attention seeking. Everyone in her life has victimized her, mother, father, stepfather, husband, friends, uber drivers. If she had siblings they would have been the same horrible people.

Bethenny's "story". Written by Bethenny. She has endured endless torture, but has risen above it all.

    The worst phony housewife ever.

My grandmother always told me that if you meet assholes all the time, chances are good that you're the asshole. Bethy sure seems to meet a whole bunch of assholes...

You two have given words to all the feelings I've been having ever since she returned to the show. I can only add that she is very often mean just for the sake of being mean. Her snark isn't funny, it isn't just self-deprecating, it isn't particularly original, it's fucking mean.

I will not be surprised should she try to make a comeback when she fails to "execute" her new productions.

I won't either. My only hope is that she seemed to seriously torch her bridges by bailing right as filming started and leaving everybody in the lurch. Plus, the ratings didn't go up that much when she came back.

Bravo and the other wives might not welcome her back with open arms next time.

I used to love B. She was funny, self deprecating and the underdog.

Can't remember when or why I crossed over. It had something to do with some of the narrative that she was putting forward not really seeming to be as truthful as it should be. I started looking beyond her words and into her actions. That was it for me.

When she came back to the show crying about being homeless despite owning TWO properties was when I started side-eyeing her. The attitude she gave to Heather and Kristen didn't help. It was plainly obvious that she thought she was better than everybody when she jumped right back into the muck and started wallowing.

Another person on twitter said she was having brunch in a restaurant and Bryn was annoying everyone with her Ukelele playing there as well. In her most recent instastory, she shows Bryn "playing" her ukelele on the flight home from LA to NYC with the caption "in flight entertainment".

Only if she and Bryn were flying private and the crew had earplugs.

    Otherwise, it's annoying.

I hope the next dozen flights she books are all serving fish and she has a hell of a time changing her reservations.

Was she as nonchalant as this sounds?

Yup. She just tossed it out there like it was nothing.

She sounded more invested when lecturing interns about which panties are to be worn at a San Tropez amusement park and imploring someone to bring her ice wrapped in one of her french towels instead of a regular dishcloth.

Delusional heaux needs to not ever own another animal. She can pet the Morgan Letters instead.

It looks like it’s for sale, rent, or a rent to buy option.  I just don’t understand the price.  It also shows only 1 indoor picture of the bathroom.  The others are of the outdoor space.  This is part of the description:

meticulous landscaped courtyard with koi pond and spacious upper outdoor veranda, like living in Italy! Full service options include: Butler, Chef, Driver, Gardener, Housekeepers (2), Masseuse, Personal Trainer (Yoga & Pilates), Turn-Down Service and night Valet if desired, and parking garage at an additional fee.

Okay then.....Something is going on with her.  She wasn’t at BravoCon, got thrown out of that bar and looks rather depressed in some recent insta pics.

The bathroom was how I recognized it as her place. The townhouse might have brown ice and mold issues, but I do love that bathroom.

When she says "full service options" does that mean she's going to restart her intern farm to staff the house?

Is she going to disclose that one of her dogs drowned in the koi pond?

Is she talking about the parking garage next door?

It was, but it seems for many of the HWs, you use Bravo as a springboard to get on a channel like HSN or QVC to really try and move your merchandise. Whether it's Melissa from NJ selling jewelry or Shannon from OC selling her healthy meals, getting on one of those channels is the goal. Lisa Rinna from BH is supposedly doing really well selling her clothing on QVC.

Honestly I'm surprised Bethenny waited this long to try and hock her merchandise on one of these channels (unless she already has and I missed it).

IIRC, she did sell her clothes on HSN or QVC when the jean line first launched.

This is very much a YMMV, I find her “wit” extremely overrated with many of her quips being dated and than when she says something that gets a laugh she repeats it until it has lost any humor it might have had.

"Chilling with my snowmies! Get it? Chilling? Snowmies? Not homies, SNOWMIES! Ramona, DO YOU GET IT? She doesn't get it! How can she be such a schmoron?!"

The thing with that gosh awful floral arrangement was that I am positive that if any of the others had gotten it, BF would have mocked it relentlessly. I can see now from the above insta link that it is supposed to be a rainbow, it is kind of sculptural and yet, it is still to me an early 80s ugly as heck gift. Paul's surprise is right up there with Scott's funeral bouquet to Tinsley.

I actually really like the flowers. They're different and pretty cute.

I do agree that if anyone else had received them, Beth would have probably had some not-so-nice things to say about them.

Here I am pretending to "arrange" a few sunflower stems, strategically placed near a vaaas of those other yellow flower thingys.  Did you get it?  Did you take the pic?  Okay, now get it on my Intergram.  My followers and girlfriends neeeed this.

I can't hate on her flower selection. Sunflowers have always been my favorites.

    Nice candleholders, too.

    Wasn't Tipsygirl Sonya's "brain"child?

Sure was! At least, it was the idea of the guy she was partnering with.

What I find interesting is that she would have filed for the trademark right around the time of her blowup at Sonja for it. Since the product had already been introduced by then, would that make Beth's a cheater brand?

Yikes, creepy stuff when I googled Holmes.

I came across a few dressing bottles in the store and read the labels to compare (I was killing some time). Noted SG Marks, LLC on the label so (killing more time later) googled it. Make of the last listing (entered Oct 7 2019) on the second page what you will:

    https://trademarks.justia.com/owners/sg-marks-llc-2701899/index.html

Bethenny Bridal is weird, but can we also talk about Home Porn, Apartment Porn, Yacht Porn, Car Porn, Jewelry Porn, Beauty Porn, Kitchen Porn, Real Estate Porn, Skinnygirl Wodka (not a typo), and muthafucking Tipsygirl?

All the porns could be combined into a reboot of Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous, but Beth is no substitute for Robin Leach.
