scrb May 24, 2019 Share May 24, 2019 Wes Anderson movies have been on the bucket list for a long time. Had only seen Rushmore before. Wasn't prepared for this cast, figured Bill Murray would have the main role but actually he's a minor character. Anderson's characters are certainly unique. Kids are precocious -- they seem to have a very certain view of themselves from an early age. Richie Tenenbaum carried the torch for Margot, his adopted sister, for all his life well into adulthood. Margot didn't wait for him any more than Cersei waited for Jaime. Margot marrying the Bill Murray character wrecked Richie's pro tennis career but he didn't even know about the other marriages or dalliances. This movie is however not a love story. 1 Link to comment
