StatisticalOutlier May 7, 2018 Share May 7, 2018 I was completely blown away by Charlie Plummer's performance in this. I knew nothing about it going in, aside from seeing the trailer, knowing it was directed by Andrew Haigh, and glancing at the Metacritic score and review snippets, and about halfway through I was regretting it because it hit a lot of points I tend to find upsetting. But in a scene near the end, I watched Plummer's face masterfully reveal what was going on inside him, and thought about previous scenes, where his face showed the joy he was feeling working with the horse, and despite the discomfort I felt in some of the situations, I'm so glad I got to spend a couple of hours with him. Gosh, what a great performance. And he's just a kid! Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/69880-lean-on-pete-2017/
