SnideAsides May 8, 2014 Share May 8, 2014 Unquestionably the dark horse this year. A week ago they were 250/1 to win, shortly before the first semi-final they were 100/1, now they're as low as 6/1 in some places, putting them in third behind Sweden (who pretty much always do well) and Armenia (whose odds are going out after a pitchy semi performance). Their entry: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MYUenU6oWb4 And some older entries. First, last year's entry, which is pretty much the complete antithesis of a typical Eurovision entry, and yet was the first Dutch song to qualify for the final in nearly a decade: 2007's "On Top of the World", which was expected to do pretty well but got a bed semi-final draw: 1984's "Ik Hou van Jou", also expected to do well but ruined by the decision to dress poor Maribelle like an ornamental toilet paper holder: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2dZWMFKtBrE 2010's "Ik ben Verliefd", continuing the theme of people being made to look old (Sieneke is barely 19 in this clip): 1980's "Amsterdam", an odd choice considering the contest that year was held in The Hague: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UuwUs6_or4Q And finally, 2000's "No Goodbyes", which is as good a place as any to end this: Link to comment
