Wouldn't that be Spoiler too much like the resolution of Secrets and Lies? The way Alison's campaign is being treated seems out of scale to me. She's running for Mayor of a major American metropolis, not to become a Senator -- or Empress! Maddie's whappin' her daughter upside the head seemed more appropriate for the daughter of House Corrino than the matriarch of a suburban industrialist family. But I take it back -- Jack is straight-up creeptown. ETA: It would be less of a spectacle to make Tessa the gay sibling, married to a cop, but every aspect of this show is arranged for maximum shock value; all of the family members have emotional lives that are off the norm in some way. They all speak to each other in highly artificial ways. The dialogue is arch and stilted and full of hints and misdirections in order to further the mystery. But all of them are beginning to seem chilly or absent or broken to me. It's getting a little ridiculous, and the show is turning into a slog. Can't someone just act like a person?
