Rick Kitchen February 21, 2016 Share February 21, 2016 Great movie, great story that should have been told long ago. Seeing Jesse and his wife refused entrance to the front door of the hotel where he's being honored for his Olympic medals was just horrifying. Jason Sudeikis killed in this, he is really a good actor. And I fell in love with Shanice Banton's dimples. :) 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/39069-race-2016/
vavera4ka February 24, 2016 Share February 24, 2016 I was fully expecting coach and his wife to go in with the Owens, but I guess it was still to early in the movement. I'm white and I live now, so I guess I'll never understand the reasoning behind not going. To me it's just like Peacock said: stick it up Hitler's ass. I love Olympics specifically because of stories like Jesse and camaraderie that athletes share despite politicians trying to use the games as a weapon. Funny thing, it is a movie based on true events and obviously we all know the result (spoiler alert: Owens wins lol) but watching it the emotions of rooting for an athlete were still there: run, don't trip, push, win! YES! very good movie inspiring and horrifying at the same time. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/39069-race-2016/#findComment-1991474
