The news spreads that third-year resident Dr. Danny Simms has been promoted to Chief Resident after Dr. Xander Phillips was removed from that position, as the rapidly developing storm sends the hospital into lockdown. The hospital is inundated with weather related trauma cases, damage, and power outages, as details about Danny and Xander's complicated and illicit romance begins to leak out. Can Danny and Phillips find a way to work together while the rest of the ER is left processing the fallout from their relationship, while still having to balance their own challenges, both personal and professional, as they work under the pressure of life-or-death stakes.
