aghst October 3 Share October 3 (edited) Nadia Caterina Munno is a native of Rome, a chef and social media star. She will star in The Pasta Queen, traveling to different regions of Italy and preparing authentic Italian dishes using regional ingredients. It's debuting 10/24. So this recent interest in travel and food started with Searching for Italy with Stanley Tucci, a big height during the pandemic when people couldn't travel. Then you have two seasons of Ciao House on the Food Network, with seasons in Tuscany and Puglia. Also expected some time towards the end of this year or next year is Heart of Italy with Stanley back in Italy, a ten-episode season which he has been filming this year. aghst October 25 Author Share October 25 Watched the first two episodes, featuring Puglia. So the format seems to be to have Nadia film on location to show where the ingredients come from, then back at her home in Florida, she prepares dishes with those ingredients. Yes Florida, she’s apparently married to an American and raising 4 children there. She got famous doing social media videos of her cooking. She makes orchiette pasta in Bari and goes fishing for mussels in Taranto and bakes bread in Altamura. They show equal time on location and her cooking. She preens a lot on camera, teaching you Italian hand gestures, tasting her own dishes. Her antics on camera got her fame and this show so they’re going to feature them. If you were looking for food and scenery porn, you get that but not as much scenery of Italy as Searching for Italy. But some may find her more personable than Stanley Tucci though she’s trying too much to be a big personality. This show is more cooking oriented though Nadia will interact with Italians on location. Wish it was more travel oriented and less about The Pasta Queen. 1 1 Link to comment
