PatMorr September 5 Share September 5 I’ve seen them redo old houses that I doubt have insulation in exterior walls, in Detroit no less and some, like when they put new tiles directly over old tiles in bathroom, instead of demo-ing the walls to add insulation. This bothers me to no end and I wonder how they pass inspections. There are many such instances that appears they don’t demo and add insulation. Does anyone know? 1 Link to comment
65mickey September 6 Share September 6 I don't know but we are seeing one hour start to finish of the house renovation when it reality it probably takes months. So it stands to reason there is a lot that we don't see. Putting insulation in the walls is not as interesting as watching the tile work or the kitchen reno. And. of course there must be drama when something goes wrong and they have to figure out how to overcome the problem. 3 Link to comment
