A latest victim is found, recently killed with DNA traces. They finally identify the killer who fits Micki’s profile. During an interrogation, the killer reveals to Micki that before he puts a ball of cloth in his victims’ mouth, he puts it in his mouth first to shape it. The DNA trace could’ve been done earlier if Micki and the police are aware of this method. Micki blames herself for not seeing this. On 31 March 1999, the High Court of Durban found Sipho Mandala Agmatir Thwala guilty of 16 murders and 10 rapes.
