The Bondsman is a horror/comedy TV Series with all 8 (half-hour) episodes released on April 3, 2025 on Prime Video. Hub Halloran grew up in Appalachia (around Fairfax County, Virginia), his family were poor horse-farmers. Hub and his wife, Maryanne, started a music career and had a son, Cade.

Hub has always had a self-destructive nature and his poor judgment torpedoed their musical dreams together, along with their marriage. Now Hub's ex-wife Maryanne is with Lucky Callahan, the owner of a successful country music club and Hub is currently living with his mother, Kitty, down on the farm, they run a bounty hunting business and are barely scraping by.

Capturing fugitives is dangerous work and one of Hub's bounties, murders him. Instead of going straight to hell, Hub is offered a deal by Beelzebub. Satan will resurrect Hub if he agrees to capture a few demons that have escaped from the underworld. 

We never actually get to see the Devil since all of his wishes are conveyed through Midge, his secret supernatural emissary. Hub pretends to be in complete denial about how he would ever end up in Hell, but realizes he now has a second chance at life, love, and country music.

Kevin Bacon and his brother Michael have been playing music together as the Bacon Brothers for around 30 years, so when Jennifer Nettles was cast as one half of a musical power couple, while doing their musical rehearsals, this lead them to write several songs together that were included in the TV Series. Kevin Bacon also did many of his own stunts, so that is really him under the water fighting the demonic head cheerleader.

Kevin Bacon as Hub Halloran, a self-destructive person, brutally killed on the job while hunting for a human fugitive, Hub is brought back to life and can possibly earn redemption, if he helps round up other wicked souls that have escaped from Hell.   

Jennifer Nettles as Maryanne Dice, Hub Halloran's musician ex-wife, they once had a music career together, Hub's reckless behavior derailed their marriage and their musical career together. Maryanne was smart enough to let Hub go, before he destroyed her career as well.

Beth Grant as Kitty Halloran, Hub Halloran's mother, Hub is a momma’s boy, since he still lives with her on her farm and she runs the skip trace business that employs him before he becomes conscripted into supernatural service.  

Jolene Purdy as Midge, weary with the understated gravitas of someone who’s learned the hard way how to hold her ground in a male-dominated world. Midge may look unassuming but she’s actually a secret emissary.  his supernatural handler and pseudo-parole agent.
