Garcia! (Spanish Language/ English Subtitles) is a 6 episode TV Series made in Spain with the first two episodes releasing internationally on HBO Max on October 28, then weekly after. Garcia! is based on the 3 graphic novel series, GARCIA! by Santiago García and Luis Bustos, which was first published in Spain in 2014.

Garcia! is an action spy adventure series set in a "hypothetical present-day" Spain where fascist dictator General Francisco Franco has ruled Spain up until his death 3 years ago. 

Now Spain is embracing Democracy, but another fascist dictator is waiting in the wings, manipulating his way into power. 

The story follows Antonia, a young trainee / newspaper reporter / investigative journalist looking for a big scoop, who quickly becomes embroiled in an elaborate political conspiracy after accidentally defrosting a genetically engineered Super Secret Agent (think Captain America mixed with James Bond) created in a laboratory in the 1950's, programmed to obey orders without question, who was decommissioned by dictator Francisco Franco’s secret service in the 1960's and has been hibernating for roughly 60 years in a cryogenic chamber.

After finding himself thrust into a fractured modern world, Garcia, a former pawn in fascist dictator General Francisco Franco’s regime, must rely on Antonia’s help to fit in – and decide where his loyalties lie amid a conspiracy to overturn the current Spanish government.
