Kel Varnsen November 1, 2021 Share November 1, 2021 I just got an email from invisioncloudcommunity.com saying my account was locked due to 5 failed log in attempts. The thing is my account isn't locked (I just posted something). There is a link on the bottom of the email to do a password reset, but I am not about to click on that. I am going to change my password now but wondering if accounts were compromised or something because email even had my username. Link to comment
Meredith Quill November 3, 2021 Share November 3, 2021 Sounds like there was an attempted unauthorised login to your account. I'll ping Invision about the email. Thanks. Link to comment
Kel Varnsen November 3, 2021 Author Share November 3, 2021 I reread the email and it appears that my account being locked is only for a few hours which is why I was able to post. I changed my password anyways. Although I had another email like this yesterday. Is there an increase in people trying to hack accounts? Because I never had this before. Link to comment
Meredith Quill November 3, 2021 Share November 3, 2021 Ah ok got it, that sounds usual re account locking. No increase that I'm aware of, however, you may activate two-step authentication if you would like to do so. Link to comment
Kel Varnsen November 3, 2021 Author Share November 3, 2021 Two step authentication sounds like a good idea. How exactly do I do that, I looked in the settings and couldn't find that option. Link to comment
Meredith Quill November 3, 2021 Share November 3, 2021 Go to Account Settings>Security & Privacy Link to comment
Kel Varnsen November 3, 2021 Author Share November 3, 2021 I don't seem to have that option. When I go to account settings it just gives me the option to change my display name, email and password or to connect to Facebook or Twitter or to change my notification settings or profile. I tried both on a phone and my laptop. Link to comment
