enoughcats February 27, 2021 Share February 27, 2021 Once upon a time, I had a 20,000 disney comic book. It was great and the Nautilus was intimidating. This is a whole different look, from the pen of Jules Verne, not that long after he wrote the book, and The Mysterious Island which is somewhat included in this remastered version. It was an expensive (500K ) productions that did not earn that back in theaters and was said to be the reason that no other Jules Verne books were made into movies for two decades. It's almost a must sea (sic) because it has long periods of underwater photography of actors in aquasuits walking through corals, and pictures of "sharks" some of which IMO were tuna-like, but for 1916 it must have been wonderous. You could not pay me to sit through it again, but there are parts that (for grainy black and white) that are vividly memorable. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/116194-20000-leagues-under-the-sea-1916-silent/
