Trying to think of more Rihanna songs. “S&M” kind of applies to Amber & Vinny, yes?

Whenever they're arguing in a car, how about "Shut Up and Drive?"

I would have definitely have chosen the seaweed Detour. First, it involves helping turtles. Second, what could be more simple than hauling something across a beach to fill one barrel? A very lopsided Detour.

    Street tennis looked pretty fun.

It's ironic that navigation is what caused Danny and Angie to be eliminated, but they took it well. Maybe they'll be back for an all-star season.

"Yes, you go run your race"

Part of me felt like that should have been the title of this episode.

There were a lot of interesting challenges overshadowed by of the mass alliance and hand-holding in general.

When Danny saw his mom covered in sweat and chugging water on the car challenge, why he didn't volunteer for the bubble soccer Roadblock is beyond me.

Derek and Shelisa were one of the teams that I was rooting for the most, so it's a shame to see them out of the race.

Maybe there should be some kind of rule where there can be only a certain number of teams at a time at certain Detours, in order to limit ways teams can help each other.

The fingerprint Detour looked really interesting. I wanted at least one team to try it.

I don't dislike Danny and Angie, but I won't be too disappointed if they get eliminated. Angie might feel the same way if she was willing eat a four hour penalty for that car track puzzle.

    (1) History is important, even entertainment history because it plays into the culture aspect and helps bind a country together.

    (2) Boomers knew about past generation entertainers.  Bing Crosby.  Charlie Chapman.  Clark Gable.  Etc etc.  And they didn't have the internet to help them.

I agree that History is very important. However, the thing about history that it's being made everyday and all over the world. It's an ever expanding field, especially in entertainment. I doubt anyone would judge a Boomer for not being familiar with many musicians and actors from the early 1900s and back.

I'm wondering if the Firefighters were at home slapping their foreheads realizing that they were one word away from solving that Detour.

Michelle and Sean weren't the strongest team, but I liked them and hoped that they would've made it though a few more episodes. At least they had a memorable exit.

  4. Wow. I didn't dislike Anthony and Bailey. But, if they weren't last, it was going to be hard to watch them bumble through future episodes.

If Sean is so afraid heights, how in the world did they get him up the first flight of stairs? There must have been some parts edited out, or his issue was just going down the stairs.

  5. Huh. Between this season and Survivor's current season, I'm good on the concept of several superfans on a single season. It's pretty obvious that superfan just doesn't automatically mean "great player."

Chris and Mary were a nice team, but they weren't going to get far if Chris got tired this early into it.

I hope that there are better challenges. It seemed like the navigation through the city in the heat was more the challenge in itself.

  6. Glad to have TAR back!

Part of me was a little disappointed that Maya and Rohan were eliminated on the first part of mega leg. However, if they were the team that refused to use a map on top of the car debacle, I suppose it was only a matter of time with them.

Bring on the two new countries!

Not sure if this is the right thread, but is anyone else scratching their heads over the (can't remember the brand) cereal touting itself as a replacement for dinner? It shows a family discussing what to have, and after they decide on cereal, a chicken in the pantry says 'I guess I'll just marinate in here' (or something).

I guess this makes me a little sad, too, if it's suggesting that cereal is what they can afford? Or are the parents just lazy?

Have you seriously never had cereal for dinner just because you couldn't think of anything else that sounded good?

I have seriously never had cereal for dinner for any reason. I don't have it in the house and it's seriously expensive as someone else pointed out.

I also raised a kid who throws fits at the idea of breakfast for dinner, and there were times when pancakes sounded real good, but no.....

Add me to the minority who has never considered cereal for dinner. I like cereal, and sometimes have it for breakfast. But, it's strictly a breakfast food or snack (Eggs, bacon, and pancakes are a different story). If I wanted a quick, low effort dinner, I'd sooner make a sandwich and have some fruit.

I have a new one I’m searching for.  It’s a pop song I think.  It starts out with NaNaNaNaNaNaNaNa. NaNANANa.  Then the male vocalist sings words that sounds like he’s saying Tear it up. He repeats that sentence a lot.  Other singers join in.  Later NaNaNA lyrics resume again.  It sort of reminds me of the group B52’s. Lol

Is this what you're looking for?

I've seen the Corona ad with the lighted palm tree. Feliz Navidad.

    I saw it too.

Also, maybe it's just me, but it seems like a lot of holiday ads are using "The Best of My Love" in them.

Ahh, the Christmas commercials have finally overtaken Halloween ones.  I saw the former followed by the latter yesterday.

Agreed. In fact, I don't even think I saw any ads for Halloween costumes this year. Just candy and horror themed movie marathon ads. I don't know if some new corporate heads are against the holiday or what.
