This culture is not reverent. They are power crazed, brutal, sexist pigs who view women as possessions who must obey. Most of the rules are made to restrict them, not for the men. The culture is to be avoided by staying in western conclaves to avoid prison and death in some cases. I have no doubt the cast and crew were protected by staying in westernized environments. They are not a culture to respect. You just stay the fuck out of their way. Horrible place.

I was just in Dubai last March, and would absolutely go again. Im sure that they sideeye us for our culture as much as we sideeye them.

My family and I went to Dubai last March, so it was great reminiscing on the mutual places encountered!
Good thing that they dined in after they settled in...because Rinna, Katherine, and Eileen would have had to change again. No bare shoulders or short hemlines.
All fun and games for Katherine to not want to conform to the group/be rebellious, until she winds up being detained for indecency. *sideeye* #dummy

Did you notice that Yo was on her iPad and as soon as LisaR and Eileen arrived she whipped off her glasses, put away her iPad and grabbed her blankie and put on her sick face.
YES!!! And also, she suddenly "couldn't breathe" when David entered the oral surgeon's office. Could hsve been sneaky editing....but she got a major sideeye from me. LOL!
I REALLY think Kyle may be on to something with the whole "depression hurts" thing. Would make a hell of a lot more sense. Cause that medicine closet is just ridic!

I was wondering why we hadn't heard a peep from Peter on Cynthia's "Below Deck" appearance.. and he was glaringly missing from Noelle's Sweet 16 bash on "David Tutera's CELEBrations"...now we know why, based on this last RHOATL episode.
A split is imminent. And none of the other Husbands besides Todd seem to be making an appearance this season, so there's really no one for Peter to film with to stay relevant.

I'm really getting tired of the show within a show. People will post about what was shown and then someone else will correct them with tweets or fb post about what went on behind the scenes. People bitch about behavior unbecoming of a baptism and other posters will point out it wasn't only a baptism it was the season finale. The show has now been divided into a metaphor of high school : the cool kids who know all of the off season gossip and the poor schleps who think everything they see each week and earnestly try to figure out what is going on. I know The powers that be at .bravo encourage this but I think it's destroying the franchise .
Ok now if someone would help me off this soapbox I would appreciate it, it's higher than I thought.
Thank god someone said it. All the pages of conjecture give me a headache. LOLL! I just wanna read commentary on whats real and whats been seen...not pages and pages of theory and hypothesizing.

Shannon is prime example of when a man calls a woman "psycho" or "neurotic"...my first response is "what did you do to make her that way??". People gave her a huge sideeye for her not being able to "get over it" or move past the obsessive, all-consuming thoughts and constantly busting David's balls despite saying she was trying to move on...but he put extras on his betrayal. So YEAHHHH...he deserves everything he has coming.

Asifa? Extremely insecure, perpetually unhappy....and super difficult to watch.
Bobby? A douche on a power trip, making Asifa jump through hoops for the relationship. Whiny as hell...and still doesn't "get" that Asifa doesn't want him confiding their relationship business with outsiders. I appreciate Asa calling him on the carpet at dessert about not being a martyr....because Asifa didn't grow to be insecure on her own. He had a hand in it.
I FLOVE Asa's Mommy!!! Only a Mom can get away with the level of shade her Mom throws at her: " Ok, get down. You talk too much". LMAOOOO!

Not to mention...now that Teddy is no longer in the Tonight Show Band (it being located to NYC)...they need the Mary Mary money. So of COURSE Tina is pushing for a reunion. Its convenient to HER. Gets on my damn nerves...and Erica annoys the hell outta me allowing Tina to push her around. And her Mom and Goo irritate me for enabling Tina's behavior.

Sooo....since we didnt see how they disposed of Vernon...and I REALLY want Malik Yoba to return...I'm gonna choose to think that they transported his wounded body to an underground doctor until he heals/comes out of a coma. And when he awakes, he has severe memory loss, absolving Rhonda and ruining the Feds case against Lucious. LOLL! A gal can dream, cant she? ;-)

Thank GOD they finally brought up the elephant in the room (no pun intended) with Kayla's between season weight gain. Even as a fluffy chick who has struggled with weight since 2nd grade...it was distrurbing me.
Bless Diana for not sweeping it under the rug...but not dealing with it in a manner that will cause Kayla to develop a complex. As this is her last season with DD, if Kayla has any pause in physical activity, shes gonna blowuptuate. And especially entering the college years, that's hard to rebound from.

Sooo...my honey happened to catch this episode with me last night, and caught Todd's comments about the bonnet...and cosigned VEHEMENTLY. So I may or may not have "innocently" come to bed with one on...to which I was greeted with "Ummm....are you about to take a shower or something? Cause YOU wont be getting any tonight with that thing on!". LMAO! I lowkey wanted to keep it on my fresh new 'do...but I'm leaving town for a week and need some "camel storage". So off it came.
Kandi, Imma need you to take that bonnet off and get you a baby, honey!

I don't find it cute or adorable when the women go out of town and the menfolk are lost and can't figure out how to get their own children fed, clothed, and off to school/activities. Even giving leeway for men who work a lot like Mauricio, it still seems ridiculous for them to need so many instructions.
Yeahhh...ummm...I cracked up during each scene of the Housewives engaging in this behaviour...because its SO me.
At the end of the day, no matter how wonderful a Dad a man is, he doesnt run the house like Mom. And while its very ok that Dads dont....I definitely understand the urge to make sure things still run smoothly while Mom is away!
