I wish the judges would take into consideration ALL the season's challenges, not just one. If they did, they would've remembered that Ali won most of them till very recently.

It's like in sports. You're only as good as the latest performance.

Isn’t Nina just have an emergency C-section? How can she curl-up in a fetal position with her baby daddy?

That was such a strange scene. It made it look like the baby did not survive.

They have been trained correctly in how to move with a weapon by having your trigger finger straight along the barrel, because you never run or stalk with the finger on the trigger. That is the first thing you’re taught when taking shooting lessons.  I shoot and have used a Smith and Wesson, Sig Sauer, Beretta and others and you never move anywhere with your finger on the trigger.

What's strange is that on Most Wanted they all have their finger on the trigger.

He's an FBI agent, who is also a muslim. I think that plays into his having a chip on his shoulder quite a bit.

Speaking of, I wonder when the LCK winner will return this time. Seems like it's usually F4

Ashleigh just got back a couple of episodes ago, so I think it might a couple more before there's someone coming back from LCK.

when Padma said it was a game.  I don't think these chefs ever see it as a game -- it's a high-stakes competition for them, I'm guessing.

A competition is a game, high-stakes or not. Even the Olympics is also called the Olympic Games.

I'm curious to see how they explain this at the beginning of the next episode, though.

"You know that thing we've been asking you to watch all season and telling you it matters? J/K! It doesn't! No one is coming back! Carry on!"

It's just a weird way to set it up.

Jamie did come back from LCK. There's just no second person coming back from LCK. And again, they used pretty much the same rule last year with Kevin, who won the best of three series at the end and got back.

I was honestly surprised that they eliminated Byron and didn’t have him go back into the competition, thus making LCK essentially pointless.

The result was different in the All-Stars season last year, but the setup was the same. They had Kevin go against Bryan, Gregory, and.. Marlakey? Kevin got the required number of wins and re-entered the competition, but it could have gone the other way as well. So, this year wasn't the first time they had this setup.

The only comforting thing about Sara going home is that Brian Marlakey was so wrong, wrong, wrong about his smug prediction

Sara could still come back via LCK and win the competition.

But it was a simple mistake, and people make mistakes.

I don't think it was a simple mistake. Not in that role and profession. There are higher bars for people in certain professions and roles.

plus he wasn't the reason why they were imperfectly cooked in the first place

Didn't he cook the second batch of salmon after they noticed the first batch were overcooked?

making one person go home for another's mistake is ever fair in any competition

Gabriel could have decided to serve the properly cooked salmon without the crispy skin, but he preferred having the crispy skin.

Not knowing a single item is not the same as not being aware of the various foods and styles of an entire continent.

Keep in mind, that it's not just for the chefstestants but also for the viewers. I doubt an average viewer of Top Chef is aware of all food culture around the world.

Are you OK with them treating these contestants, allegedly some of the best chefs in the country, as being completely ignorant of the food of an entire continent?

Tom did not know what fufu is a couple seasons ago when Eric Adjepong made it for the Muhammad Ali challenge.

I did assume Cerb's trainer would have adopted her. I know that happens with police K9s; is it too difficult for military ones because the trainers have to go on missions so often?

He'll get Cerberus' replacement. So I think it wouldn't be ok for him to have Cerberus as his own dog and then the new dog as well?

Leonard (Hofstatder) is his roommate/best friend on BBT. (Though his next line suggests he might have actually named his son after Leonard Nimoy.)

It's definitely Leonard Hofstader. From the show's EP in TVLINE's interview

    From TVLINE:

TVLINE | Any chance Sheldon wanted to name his son not only after Leonard Nimoy, but also after his good friend, Leonard Hofstadter?
He is named after Hofstadter. The middle name of Nimoy seemed like an added bonus, but to me, he is named after Leonard Hofstadter, for sure, without a doubt.

I miss TC already. In fact, Mr. Snappy and I decided to watch ALL of it dating back to S1

Here in Finland Netflix just added Top Chef's first two seasons to their library. I tried watching them, but I think the first seasons were just too much drama.
