An entire season dedicated to her cutting her hair sounds about right.  I remember there was an episode a season or two back where the main thing that happened was Nathan ate a lot of ice cream.

The short hair makes sense though, Erin has short hair in real life and the showrunners were probably like, we're sick of maintaining those wigs, and it's the 20s in the timeline anyway (or at least I think it is, who knows with this show) so long hair had fallen out of fashion.

I can see that happening. LOL

It was hard enough to find Elizabeth interesting. Now she's just so unlikeable. Too bad they won't focus on any other female characters.

If the show could give us some Lucas/Henry scenes I could watch them.

I read an article that the new writers knew from episode one of this season that they knew there would be no wedding and thought this ending would give them many more creative opportunities going forward. I think they are going to add Nathan to the mix but not sure how that will turn out. The Elizabeth character is the least interesting and has the most airtime.
and what's up with them all having so many clothing changes, no dirt, no rainy days, no manure in the streets. So much like real life back then, right?

And it's even worse when the writers run out of fresh new idea for the character. The same thing happened to the character of Oliva Pope on Scandal.

I do think this is what they should've done with Alex to begin with. The womanizing doesn't bother me but they needed him to be more shady etc this would fit with him.

I don't think this guy has the range to do anything more than what's he's doing now. IMO, I think this is why Ron wanted to keep him onscreen.

And I think Leo is pretty much Ron's mouthpiece.

I wish Days would take a week here and there and run genuinely classic episodes. I believe they’ve done that in the past on occasion. Since they have so many of the same actors on the payroll, they could even have one of them record a quick summary for context. “Hi, I’m Leann Huntley, and in this episode from 1985 Anna receives divorce papers from Tony, not knowing that he still loves her but wants to protect her from his family. If you’re a newer viewer you may not have met Anna’s friend Calliope before, but I like to think Calliope is why Anna doesn’t think Roman talking to an urn is all that weird,” etc.

This would be worth watching the embarrassing mess that's on screen now.

Come on, Ken, make it happen!

This show is best when you just turn your brain off and enjoy the insanity and hilarity of it all.

Yeah, that might have continued to work if the show was still on NBC. But now viewers have to pay money to watch this poorly written mess. Just like Passions, viewers patience will eventually run out and they will stop paying to watch something they're not enjoying.
