Xochitl was amazing throughout and I think she deserved to win, regardless of any judges comments, which I FF through anyway.

But racism?  When a Latina won?  I'm wondering about that reading the comments here, but it's not towards Charity, who is also going on the tour.  And it's just my opinion, but I think Artem is the sexiest pro on the show.

You can be racist towards one group and not as much towards another.

I loved the wink because, in such a serious dance, there was something a little bit 'breaking the rules' about it.

And I think it goes right back to that thing that Charity lacks that Jason and Xoochitl have.  And even Alyson has a bit of this too. Performance and spontaneity.  They have the sense that they're love what they're doing.

Charity, while technically perfect and so much of what she does is beautiful, lacks that quality.  I always feel like she's having a good time before she has to dance and then grits her teeth to get through her dance.

I sympathize with her as I bet she has had a lot of training to give pageant and being asked to get a ridiculous is a change.

I actually think Ariana is also good at showing off parts of her personality. She's a beautiful dancer. And I kind of like that she's often out-of-breath at the end of her dances.

As for Charity, she definitely needs to learn how to connect to the audience better, but that's a really hard thing to figure out if you don't even know where to start. She could've grown up that way and maybe it continued for her entire life. It's not always something that you can just figure out in a couple of weeks.

The most interesting things to me are like when Gabby talked about being a nurse during the pandemic. I agree that some of the dead  people packages are boring, although some of them are touching. I totally don't need to hear about anyone getting dumped, though. It happens to most people. Next.

I would personally like to hear about someone's former occupation or getting a degree or their hobbies or charity work. I haven't heard of most of these people and it would be nice to get to know them.

Gabby had the most interesting "memorable moment" I've probably ever heard on the show. Wishing the best for her.

As for getting dumped or cheated on, it's pretty horrible, especially when it happens in public and you're completely humiliated on TV. I think it's fine to mention things from the recent past that really affected you and how you see the world. Perhaps they can put it behind them and focus on other things going forward.

  4. Charity has a bit of trouble with emotions but I do think she's improving on that front. Her body was doing all the work this week, and it was wonderful. I really felt her emotions come out in her strength and movement.

I also enjoyed Xochitl and Ariana.

Although I really agree about having Blake or Kelly back (more so Blake as Kelly could get a bit too hyper for me), I don't think either would come back.  They made too big of a deal over Blake's 'last season.'  So, it would be more anti-climatic if he returned.  Dolly Parton is the only one I think could save this sinking ship but they probably don't have enough money to lure her in.

Kelly is great. I don't mind the positivity and amazing voice she brings to the show. Blake is OK but they needed some fresh blood on the show.

Gwen’s hairline makes my eyes water. I’m sure she’s a good person, but the traction alopecia is hard to see.

    What an unkind comment.

I find myself wondering why there are so many better singers this season than last.... to my ears at least.  I am going to enjoy this season based on the talent alone. I don't care for Reba personally, but in general I place more weight on the singers than the judges, so I can handle it.

Same! The judges don't necessary make or break the show for me (although I miss Kelly). I forwarded through most of what all the judges did. I did enjoy whenever a contestant chose a judge that you didn't think they'd choose.

And then he goes "she reacted to you the way people usually react to me." Lol

I genuinely enjoyed tonight. This season has finally found its footing. Strong night for PowerPoint. They're using this in grade four?? Damn I was still tracing my hand and watching another kid eat glue.

I think the second Savanna is sleeper voice of the show if Blake wants to invest the time. Some beautiful qualities. Surprised Kelly didn't turn. Maybe she was still recovering from definitely not you Jordan.

I enjoy Nick on the show mainly because he's kind, funny and doesn't take himself too seriously.

Jordan Matthew was super rude with that comment about choosing between Nick and Blake (and eliminating Kelly). Like...no one needed to know that, dude.

Some of the singers were great tonight. I'm glad the coaches are getting pickier but it does mean that, inevitably, someone with a lot of potential will slip through the cracks.

  8. If you do a Google search, you'll see that you shouldn't use poles for the ODR skis. Not sure if the info is still accurate though, as the page doesn't exist anymore.

It's probably just a matter of getting the technique right. Regular skiing and snowboarding aren't that safe either.

They look really fun, especially for people who don't want to spend a crazy amount on ski equipment, whether it's renting or buying.

  9. I like Micah but the song choice was boring and the performance wasn't that great either. Couldn't get through the whole thing. But it's nice that Kelly went against the grain.

    Allegra is my favourite.

Nick is making some great moves in his debut season.

Sorry, but I want a long-term study for a minimum of five years proving that exposing children to allergens early really does prevent allergies. I was part of the era that said not exposing children to allergens until they reached 12 months was the way to go.

If gradual exposure really is the key, wouldn't a woman eating the allergen before she breastfeeds work just as well as their additive?

Exactly what I was going to post.

We have a few allergies in the family, and they started at different ages. Some were at birth, others through puberty. The mothers ate the allergens, including nuts/peanuts before, during, and after pregnancy.

It was a red flag to me that they started the pitch by basically claiming that all food allergies were kick-started by mothers not eating as much of the "risky" food early on in. They don't have any solid proof of this, and it's irresponsible to make an overarching claim.

  11. Kevin's peanut butter claims where hilarious.

I didn't like the bobbles for the shoes, but I liked the entrepreneur.

Get Mark off the show. He's overbearing and a pain to watch.

I actually think the peanut butter pump is great for those who live in homes with people who have allergies to peanut butter but still want to indulge. There's less clean-up after using the pump. Just have to make sure to clean your dish and wash your hands properly. You may not even get much peanut butter on your hands, and you're not contaminating food boards and butter knives and touching other parts of the kitchen.
