  1. I'm pretty sure it's just a one-episode experiment, so afterwards the game will resume as it was before. I think they're changing the prize or how the randomizer works. Must be to address complaints about the entire "she only had to play X duels" the entire way or "X played 12 duels and got nothing!". We'll see how it goes and if it works or not, but it's too early to tell. By the way, 9 duels for episode 3.
  2. I heard via Wikipedia that in episode 4 they are going to shake things up, apparently.
  3. I bet the producers thought she was a controversial character but more so in "people will talk about her, in positive ways or bad ways" and I think she is a very you love her or you hate her type character. Either way, it gets people talking, and it's good for the show, somewhat. It's funny how she said she knew everything about her category then struggled to remember said things about that category and I think it was funny to see her get eliminated after getting so cocky about it.
  4. Episode 2 airs on Wednesday but I think people will stream it. Likely because well... that first episode had really badly timed commercials. Kinda getting sick of the randomizer music and then commerical.
  5. @Lantern7The wikipedia page updates constantly. By the way, they are having jeopardy champs and a lot of celebs this year. David with eurpoean geography, Brian with convince store items, etc. Thankfully less celebrity categories this year. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Floor_(American_game_show)
  6. If the producers pick the category everybody gets, then naturally people who can get the producers to stick them with their category of choice I would also like to mention that Keelan could've gotten knocked out if Keelan was chosen by the randomizer at any point during the finale, as he would have to play something other than periodic table(We saw this with Mena in the beginning). The randomizer didn't pick him, and it once again illustrates the issue everyone was saying(if you are the last to get picked, you will win) and now it's just being gamed by winning one duel, waiting for everyone else to go, keeping your OG category, hoping the leader picks off the others, and once again, hoping you didn't get picked by the randomizer. If Keelan gets picked at any point during this finale by the randomizer he almost for sure does not win as he likely sucks at Shakespeare. Catherine(blue jacket) tried to knock Keelan out via "Russian roulette" as she called it, and failed. It's once again about being picked as the last one, but this season it was just about being the last person to have your OG category. There is something inherently wrong with the randomizer that needs to be fixed because the two-square thing makes it so easily gameable until the end of the season. It's better to be randomized then to be challenged because you will keep your original category in the process. You are then safe with your original category until someone challenges you(not to mention the edge/corner strategy) if you go back to the floor because your original category scares them off, which in turn would keep you safe until everyone has dueled. But all this power, for one duel(yes you might have bad options for duel choices) seems a bit too OP. All categories were played, and we never found out officially, but I think a contestant said that it was going to be international Foods(the unplayed category from season 1).
  7. This show often uses pictures, so I wonder if they'll use pictures or the abbreviated terms, will they show the number? I could see it being hard with the element letters for some but that's the game. Then again, if they use pictures, they better be accurate to avoid any judging mishaps... By the way if Angie wins the season I think it would be a weird yet ok ending. It would prove the time boost is a legit tool for defense but only delays the same strategy of hiding. If you're not the biggest piece on the floor, having a time boost keeps you super safe.
  8. There are two left because of the last duel(Game show hosts - Daniel Avila) and british invasion. There are lots of international versions, here is how they explain it. If everyone has played, everyone is eligible to be picked. We will see the full details next week(like if you can be randomized after going back to the floor, or if this is even true for the US version, or how they wanna do it). Once you have a time boost, there's no reason to keep playing unless you think you can win 20k(by overtaking the leader). In the early episodes, this was doable. People kept playing because of the two sides of the floor both having big turf(but like 5 to 10 pieces, not crazy amounts), and people easily winning 20k or being able to avoid the randomizer more often(Julie Ann). Someone like Kara simply carved her own path to 20k easily. However, since Virginia merged the two big pieces, anybody can win one duel and take the 20k. Most people recognize the fact that "at the end of the night" is the only strategy because it's too risky to have to fend off single squares who don't like their neighbors. As we saw with Jeremy/Danny, it can sometimes work if you have a time boost/bluff enough. The leading player only has one choice: Hope people play for 250k or pick their poison. I do agree that whales have it BAD, but they do have an out by getting rid of single squares with no neighbors. But that takes guts. Then again, everyone knowing how bad being a whale is kinda prevents them for going for it. But some people have no choice(I.E single squares all alone) I actually support going back to the floor because it forces new players to come out. Then, the game actually changes for the better in the second half because everyone has played at least one duel, unlike last season where the majority of people left didn't even play until the finale. Also hi new here.
