  1. I was rooting for and amused by our Clearwater locals, Anthony and Bailey. And I was quite surprised to see that they both graduated from Texas State (or any college for that matter). I believe that many “reality” TV shows, competitive or not encourage the participants to assume/play up a particular role.

  2. I can’t even imagine living anywhere so remote and with such extreme weather conditions. The isolation must be so difficult and I would expect that many may suffer from mental illness given the isolation. On the other hand, the sense of “community” was extraordinary. Given that, perhaps it’s a very peaceful lifestyle.

IMG_6536.thumb.jpeg.dfe7c3536c43b78bb7dbc2519ad42eae.jpegI had to check it out on Google maps. There was no Google “Street view”.

  3. As I watched last night I had to check the episode date because it seemed like I heard all of this last week. I also realized that I really don’t like or find any of these women amusing or interesting. I was impressed with Whitney’s quiet demeanor and restraint. Can’t stand Meredith’s voice, although she was pretty quiet, too. Lisa apparently has elevated herself to Supreme SLC Housewife.  Her speech patterns bug me, too. Angie, meh. Too much hair and boobage. Monica …what can I say that hasn’t already been said. And Mary, at least she doesn’t shriek. I do want to hear what Heather has to share about the black eye although it will probably be a whole lot of nothing.

I'm probably no longer the demographic that Bravo is catering to. I liked seeing house porn, fashion, vacations, personal drama. Drunken screaming matches (or Vicki and the “family van”) just don’t do it for me.

That scissor kick demo was cringey.

Apparently, Morgan what's-her-name's song was about sex on the floor, which I only gathered from reading these posts, as I couldn't understand a word she sang.  I have perfect hearing (recently audiologist checked), yet she mumbles her words and sings like Marlon Brando in The Godfather.

How many therapists do house calls?  Such an obvious setup.

If I hear "bubba" one more time, I'll hurl.

    That is all!

A “scissor kick” happens in a swimming pool. A “scissor” happens when you’re swimming in the “lady pool” 😉 And it WAS awkward and cringey.

    • I’ve been around since Season 1, Episode 1. Probably an unpopular opinion, but  I have never been much of a Christine fan. She’s just too much..Always has been, imho.  She’s what I refer to as a “look at me” girl. Having to caterwaul at her daughter’s wedding is just one example.  It was exhausting watching last night’s episode.  And don’t get me started on Mykelty and Tony. But of course, I’ll be tuning in for the  main event. I’ll see myself out now 😉

I guess BRAVO finally gave Heather permission to tell the truth about the eye….

Mary looks like she’s ready to bolt from the end of the couch at the first chance she gets in those previews.

Every time I see Mary, I see this ..

  6. I love reading all of your posts! I’ve watched this train wreck since Season 1, Episode 1. Everything else aside, I felt compelled to reply when the topic of the word “safe” was mentioned. This drives me crazy!  It seems to be a fairly new buzzword that is so overused and IMHO has been often misused for a while now. Add to that the word “gaslighting”. I doubt that any of these lunkheads have any idea that the word “gaslight” is an eponym, and its source.

And just one more thing (channeling my Columbo)…do you think Christine sang “Let Me Call You Sweetheart” at her own wedding? Nah…

  7. I just saw the Tamron Hall show. So excited to hear the Marilyn (and John)will be back in the fall. I’ve noticed that the episode description for the THS is off by a day. I saw the description showing Charlene Tilton but saw the snippet with Judge M and so glad tat I did so I could watch. I also noticed that the THS does rerun in the wee hours on an affiliate channel.

I swear I saw Legarski driving a cop car in the preview for next week. How cool would THAT be!

    I saw that, too!

  9. My two “critical” cents...

I wasn’t crazy about Alyssa’s performance last night, and I’ve liked her up to this point. And this is more of a “performance” critique rather than a critique of her vocal abilities. It seemed overly dramatic, with the interpretation and the walk. And she was doing that “stink face, something disgusts me” look, the same face that Grace has been doing all along. Don’t get me wrong, I believe they both have earned their spots in the top 20, but I find that facial expression off-putting.

I also am not a fan of the way the young “indie” style girls pronounce their vowels. Hard to describe with words but it’s like they round their mouths in an odd way to get the sound.

Colin is a likeable guy but it was so hard to watch/listen to him last night with his lack of breath control. I couldn’t believe that that was exactly what the judges commended him on. Did they not hear what we heard? I can hear him singing “Louie, Louie” (Yes, I’m that old!) with a bar band and having a great time.

Enough of the negatives, my favorites are Chayce and Casey.

I know it's the style for a lot of young men these days, but they look awful in too tight suits, especially when they're jacked up like Acho.

    That can’t possibly be comfortable.

  11. I’m going to keep watching if for no other reason then to see ATFR, certain that Acho splits the seams of the suit he clearly bought in the Children’s Department.

  12. I do enjoy this show and I’ve been watching with interest because I live on the west coast of the Tampa Bay area where these homes are built. Flooding is an issue for much of our area.

Brian competed on The Amazing Race with his former wife. Also competing on that season of TAR were Flight Time and Big Easy so I guess that’s where their friendship started.

I wasn’t a fan of this home, particularly the front elevation. The front door/entrance was way too small (out of proportion) for the size of the house. It looked like a big, flat yellow slab with a teeny tiny door at the bottom right.
