    That being said, I have no doubt that BME won't be happy with R's spouse unless he's willing to turn the headship over to his mother-in-law the way Jon has and/or buys Mahmo things when they come visit and has a godly job she can brag about (because we all know that Philip will never go to Hungary) like Nathan. Although we don't see a lot of sons-in-law who seem to be hardcore into headship in the Duggars and the Bateses, none of the guys seem to have turned their lives over to JimBob/Michelle or Gil/Kelly the way Jill Rod expects her son-in-laws to. I'm going to guess that Jon (in particular) is a bit of a...unique case even in fundyland. 

    PS. This is a bit biased because right now, Jonathan is my biggest fundy enigma. What was he running from that joining the Rods and turning large chunks of his income over to his mother-in-law (via mooching and Plexus) seemed like a good life choice? I kept thinking he was trying to do a long con to get Kaylee out, but those hopes are long dashed. Their poor baby.

I guess that could be the connection to Lawson but when Josie showed her in the car, her vibe was "I'm just along for the ride." Interesting that Josie didn't bring Kelton and the kids. I'm sure Kelton has no interest in going anyways, but it also gave Josie a good excuse to make an appearance yet dip out early. 

    I really hope James Duggar isn't sniffing around the Bates girl that just turned 18. (Is it Addie or Ellie?). Both of them could do way better. 

    Also noticed Katie didn't post anything about the shower aside from a close-up shot of Hailey. Idk, that seems kind of bitchy. Tiffany always writes warm and supportive comments on Katie's social media. You'd think Katie could return the favor and acknowledge an SIL thrilled to be expecting her first child. 

    Why are all of these men at a ladies bridal shower? 😆

    And it does seem like the kids are sticking to a rotation rather than let's all come at once and party party. Trace mentioned that they wouldn't get to see Bobby/Tori and their crew as Trace/Lydia were leaving before Bobby/Tori were arriving. And it seems like he only overlapped with Erin/Chad for 1-2 days and that was because Erin had asked if he'd stay 1-2 extra days so they could meet up. Trace said that he and Lydia had arrived a few days earlier, stayed with Bill/Jane and then stayed an extra 1-2 days to see Erin/Chad (and G&K though they live locally so whatever) and were leaving, hoping to return again in June.

    Interesting that Zach is the only one who has been TOTALLY quiet about this - as in not posting when he's visiting, not posting videos of Bill demonstrating his dementia asking Zach who he is (I assume so - we've seen him be reintroduced to Carlin, Trace, Erin).

    Whit posted a few still pics yesterday saying they just visited the farm this week. But no pics of Bill/Jane - just a few pics of the farm itself. And interestingly they stayed in a hotel - so she posted a few hotel pics with her kids. She did say it's heartbreaking to see Bill's decline with dementia; and that Zach took measurements at the house and is figuring out how to build a ramp - I guess where the front steps are - and hopes to do that next time.

    Zach has always been really close to Bill and said he looks up to him, so I wonder if it's all a bit too much for him. Like he wants to visit but it's upsetting enough that he needs nightly break at a hotel. And for once it's too heartbreaking to having Bill ask who he is - to want to show that to everyone on social media. 

    Good for Zach for choosing NOT to exploit his grandparents on SM.

I'm sure by now they go to a church but given that they never show themselves attending events etc., it may be more of a go to church Sunday morning, sit by themselves, leave when it's over. In all this time I think we've only seen 1-2 pics total of Law/Tiff referring to anyone as friends. So there isn't really a friend circle at all. IDK if there's racial undertones at church or what. And if the church peers even threw a shower just out of politeness, it'd have to be in Nashville not Knox - and then as @BitterApple says when people don't ever hang with the couple at all, that's when they'd be like - hmm do we really have to buy a $20 gift and attend this thing.

    Give them credit though they haven't glommed onto the pastor and his wife at whatever church they attend like Carlin/Evan. That's what Carlin/Evan did to "make friends" - knowing that church leadership can't really turn them away. It's very much like a 7th grader who says his best friend at school is his teacher and the teacher can't exactly tell the kid to buzz off.

    I thought it was weird yesterday that when attending the shower Josie brought a friend. I was like uh is this friend invited, do they even know Tiff?? But they probably knew it was going to be a thinly attended shower so hey bring people along as family friends. The only adults I saw who weren't family were Josie's friend and James Duggar who is in town staying with Trace. Though I guess that's what you'd expect doing a shower in your husband's hometown right? Of course it'd have to be his family/friends. 

    Wonder if the "real" shower will be thrown by Tiff's mom or best friend in SD. I feel like they did that for wedding stuff. Did the Tenn. stuff because they were supposed to but then did events in SD - which were all much fancier and nicer than the stack of pizzas or footlong subs on paper plates or whatever the Bates did.

    James Duggar was at a baby shower???

    Finding time with God is a decision.  😊🥰❤️  I think Christians have become weak because they call things "Biblical" that are not even close to the heart of God.  😢  We simply don't know our Bibles anymore and we "cherry pick" verses to go along with our liberal mindset.  I have SO much hate flung my way due to our stand on Biblical principles.  I love ALL people deeply, but if compromise is what is required of me to obtain favor in other people's lives, then I guess I will stand outside of their favor.  I care more deeply about standing in favor with God.  😉  It can be a lonely place sometimes, but it will be worth it all, when I see Jesus!  🥰

    The quality of discussions and insights here has dwindled because of the new mods, and the latest directive from the mod is the final straw for me.
