  1. When you’re watching this episode with a potty-humor-aficionado first grader and even he’s repelled, you know T&A have hit a new low. Like someone previously stated, skip the beginning of the show. Brice’s parents are a good looking couple. I was surprised to see them on camera. I also had no idea that Brice is a twin. Emma looked beautiful at the party! Of course Jonah had to draw attention to Anna’s innocuous comment regarding the barbecue he cooked. I agree that his attitude has improved a lot but he and most of the fam still can’t pass up the smallest opportunity to rag on Anna. She has way more restraint than I do. I’m glad that Anna’s therapy is going well. It was also nice to see Trent give her a sweet, sincere hug when he dropped her off at her house.
  2. Alex’s enthusiasm over his new girlfriend was an unexpected joy. I don’t recall seeing him truly light up about anything before and it was endearing. Good for Alex. Liz’s new dog is a cutie but where the heck did her other dog go? Am I misremembering her acquisition of at least one other animal over the past couple of seasons? Anna is the only person in that family who should be a pet owner. The new master bath is lovely. The shots of Trent & Amber through the fogged up glass shower door were not. It was both a relief and uncharacteristically refreshing to see how Trent and Amber interacted with Anna as she became emotional regarding the status of her relationship with Whatshisface. Trent looked like he was about to cry himself. Then again Trent has always been the better parent to her. When they started in on the “Anna was adopted from Russia at 4 yrs old” spiel I thought here we go again with the Anna-is-damaged-goods-look-at-what-we’ve-been-through crap, but thankfully they didn’t go there. Trent reminded Anna of her great qualities and Amber actually gave advice without placing blame or being a smug mug. Damage control or not, I hope it stays that way because Anna deserves it. According to the season previews at the end of this episode it appears the speculations about Liz & Brice being done are true.
  3. “Bryce seems like he might just go along with what they say.” Bingo…and I’m afraid Liz is about to have her heart broken. She’s not my fave but I don’t wish that on her at all. I’ve had the feeling for a while now that Bryce is not—and maybe never has been—100% on board with the whole living together sitch and he’s just not mature enough to tell Liz so directly. The I-need-to-save-money excuse barely passes as plausible. I wonder if he’s buying time because he doesn’t want to hurt her feelings, be the bad guy or have to deal with the fallout. But I also suspect his parents are not thrilled in the least, so that would certainly be a convenient nail in the coffin if he decides to use it. Don’t forget, though, that he’s actually low-key saving up for a ring!🤦‍♀️ Ugh, the passive-aggressive desperation! That was such a bucket-head move on Liz’s part.
  4. Ashley is a lovely young woman who needs to cut her losses and go. As if Jonah’s treatment of her hasn’t been bad enough, now there are those text messages that T&A will never get past no matter how much Jonah improves—ham-fisted Amber will hold that over Ashley’s head the same way she rehashes Anna’s mistakes (perceived and otherwise) and who the H needs that?
  5. Those kids have grown up listening to Big Daddy’s raunchy bedroom commentary, yet he and Amber want to be all up in their adult children’s personal business and dictate/pass judgment on what they do with their partners in their own homes. Nope. And yes, the “stank face” continues. Good call by Emma. I agree with you and Ms Lulu about Joose—he is definitely a good sport! What a delightful person he is! You can tell the kids really like him. Jonah actually smiles when he sees him! Here’s to hoping that Joose went back to Finland with more in his linguistic repertoire than “Jesse farted.”
  6. Hooray for Aunt Heidi! How wonderful for Anna to have a relatable adult female in her family who is warm, encouraging, has a sense of humor and seems to appreciate Anna for who she is. I was glad to see how supportive Heidi was of Anna and her new friend’s very sensible joint decision for him to avoid the party instead of pulling an AmberTrent and turning his absence into something negative. Jonah’s and Alex’s commentary on Elizabeth’s and Amber’s decorating “style” gave me a chuckle. I have to say I liked the plaid onesies!
  7. I concur. Their reactions were childish. It would be nice if Josse could be introduced to some actual homemade Southern meals but I don’t see that happening unless they eat at someone else’s house. I think having an exchange student in your home is certainly reason enough to try even if you’re not used to cooking like that—the experience could be fun for all of them…barring tantrums, eye-rolling, attitude and condescending remarks of course. So yeah…not happening. Sorry, Josse.
  8. And did you know that besides having a boyfriend she also goes to school and has a job and lives away from Mom & Dad? Because there are literally no other 20 year olds who do all of that simultaneously!😜 (There are, however, plenty of 20 year olds who do all of that simultaneously without the luxury of having their residences and other safety nets provided for with supplemental income from a tv show😏)
  9. I vote that every time Elizabeth runs her smug mug yapper about Anna’s cooking skills, Anna gets to spray Liz with a can of Cheez Whiz.
  10. This. Learning how Anna’s brain works would have been especially beneficial about 10 years ago, but rock on, Amber🙄
  11. Ashley, run like the wind and don’t look back! Selfish, rude and inconsiderate do not always come out in the wash and I have yet to see any proof that Jonah is worth the let’s-wait-and-see approach. Overabundance of alarms going off with that guy. If he doesn’t have her best interest at heart now, he never will.
  12. Amber, the undisputed queen of RBF, ragging on Anna’s RBF? Ha! I’m glad to see her self-awareness levels this season are continuing to hold their own at ZERO🤦‍♀️
