Sonny’s schtick right now is he wants everyone to forget what Nina has done to him and his family but also wants them to accept that she’s this new important and significant presence in his life. In every confrontation he has with his family, the minute anyone says anything negative about Nina, he immediately accuses them of not respecting his life and privacy and shuts down on them emotionally. He did the same with Dante yesterday and poor Dante was trying so so hard to be honest and straightforward with Sonny, as well as trying to keep the peace. And of course, Brando, who is eager to please Sonny, tells him he’s cool with his relationship with Nina and that his sons were wrong. You could literally see the transition of Sonny looking at Brando like his new prodigal son. And Brando giving him that head nod back in acceptance. Is this going the way everyone predicted with Brando as Sonny's new Jason? But Jason wasn't this much of an ass kisser with Sonny, but who knows. And to the subject of Sonny now being a changed or better non-violent man trying to make amends. I call BS and think it's interesting that both the characters on the show and the Sonny sympathizers are under false pretenses that Sonny is mainly "Mike" now after returning from Nixon Falls. Did we not just see Sonny bail those robbers from Charlie's out of jail and slyly gloated to Laura and Nina that he took care of them, much to Sasha dismay? That sounds like classic Sonny to me, who seems to be relishing getting his groove back as the Don of Port Charles.

You know, I really see TJ and Molly as a potential long-haul couple on the show. Not in the sense that they will always be together, and I don’t want that, but it feels like the show is really investing in them as characters. And whether their storyline ends up good or bad, I am really enjoying see them as working adults in their careers. Though they’re rarely the front burner story, their jobs are a guarantee they will always be part of major storylines because someone in Port Charles will always need a lawyer or a doctor. And I know they’re known as the boring couple, but I think they could really spice up that relationship because I think the actors have the chemistry to pull it off and bring the heat. Break them up for a bit for whatever reason so they can experience other relationships that work, then the show can make it where they can’t stay away from each other because of their history. I don’t know, just an idea.

Actions speak louder than words. And I think new cop Rory's actions today were very endearing and spoke volumes to both myself and Trina. He stood there and payed attention to their conversation and body language and immediately decided to side with Trina. First by backing her up when Trina told Spencer to get out, then giving her the drink when she looked defeated to show her his support. Sweet. And Sonny continues to do things his family have blatantly told him to stay out of (Carly, Joss, and Michael) but you know classic Sonny, he does what he wants. I'm just glad that he was unfazed by Esme's fake 'help me' act and that he challenged Victor's threat. Cause Victor, the Cassadines might be formidable, but Sonny's just crazy when he's in tunnel vision mode. Didn't you see the crazy eyes when he told you to come at him?

Is it really surprising that Spencer would believe flimsy evidence against Trina? Not to me cause Spencer has always been wishy washy when it came to his relationship with both Trina and Esme. And I for one don't give a crap if he's playing the long con to trap Esme, cause treating Trina the way he did in the interrogation room was both unacceptable and unnecessary. I was peeved that Trina really sat there trying to convince Spencer she didn't do this before she told him to GTFO. That's right, know your worth girl. Maybe this is the perfect time to build the Trina and Cam relationship back up if they want to shake up his relationship with Joss. I always wanted to see where that romance could go, and Cam and Trina were always good at being there for each other when they were going through a crisis. Anyway, can't wait to see Spencer's derp face when this all comes to light. And Trina walks right past him to.....new cop Rory?

It’s fine if there is vehement hate for the Joss character and to be honest some points made about her are valid. But the antis who think people who enjoy Joss’s character are blind or just as bad as she is in real life, is an unfair critique. I accept that sometimes every word and action Joss makes just annoys people and they think she’s the worst thing on earth. But personally, I wish to view Joss as a complex teenage character who is as flawed and still have a lot to learn. I can’t recall Joss doing something so evil and heinous that it warrants people saying she deserves this maltreatment and exposure from Esme. Or that she should get over it because people don’t care about sex tapes anymore and only people in town will know and forget about it. I guess it speaks to reality and maybe that’s what GH was trying to address when they introduced this story of releasing a sex tape without consent. We see it all the time where if a female victim doesn’t act a certain way, then she deserves what she gets. It’s just disheartening to see the hate overshadow the different perspectives of this story. I am also in agreement that yes, Joss is very self-involved with her trauma right now and only seeing Cam’s struggle on the surface. But everyone processes trauma differently and are allowed the time and space to do that. And I feel that now that she and Cam have given their police statements and have Alexis and Trina in their corner, they have taken a proactive step in overcoming this traumatic situation together. And Cam’s hesitation is completely understandable. As is Joss right to try to overcome the shameful experience with whatever false bravado she needs to present to people to be able to deal with it. Anyway, I think I went a little too deep with all this.

It's really funny to me that some think Esme was genuinely sincere in wanting to make up with Trina and Joss so much so that now Joss apparently deserves to have a sex tape publicized without her consent because she gave as good as she got with Esme. If Esme was really trying to turn a new leaf with Trina and Joss then she would have pulled out that phone she was carrying around in her bag and explained how she was going to use the sex tape to blame Trina and try to destroy the girls' relationship. Let's not forget who started this feud and animosity between all of them, Esme. Probably because of her jealousy of their friendship with each other as well as with Spencer. And the person putting Trina in danger is Spencer because his attention to Trina is what Esme is reacting to and plotting against. Even though Joss was a bit too aggressive during her conversations with Trina and Esme, I took it as her defending her friend against Nelle 2.0 and advising her friend that she deserves better treatment from Spencer. It's just that Joss is a way more confrontational type of person whereas Trina is not. Because of their different personalities, let them fight and argue about how they want to handle the Esme situation. Which I hope is where this story is going rather than dumbing down Joss to ever believe Trina would video tape her having sex. And Spencer is too whipped by Esme to fully back Trina once the truth comes out because of his relationship with her. Even if we're lucky and Esme framing Trina is the last straw for Spencer and he breaks up with her, I just don't see Spencer completely cutting Esme off. He will eventually give in because they have built this narrative that Spencer is the only person Esme has and she will definitely be playing up that sob story once she gets caught. So Trina will end up looking like a fool because she's kind-hearted and will 'understand' Spencer's struggle. That's why I'm kind of anti-Spencer when it comes to Trina. Yes, the romance is sweet and seems like a slow burn that could really blow up and become popular. But I'm sorry, I agree with Josslyn on that front. If you remove the romance googles, Spencer does treat Trina like a side chick (the girl he wants to be with who's not his girlfriend) and she has been way too forgiving on how he's treated her thus far. And her insistence that her are Spencer are just friends and have no connection is her being in denial about her feeling for Spencer cause we saw that romantic connection even before we were introduced to Esme as his girlfriend. Spencer so believes his convictions when he says them (following Trina's advice of rejecting his family to become his own man) but then totally flips and takes up for the completely opposing convictions (backing Victor for using family protection and pushing him to reclaim his title as the Cassadine heir). I'm glad they're still building up that couple because Trina currently deserves better.

Sonny trying to swoon his new wife Nina. Please I’m about to throw up. Sonny, what are you doing? Making breakfast for Nina in your new home, showing her your divorce papers, and being affectionate with Nina. For all this hemming and hawing about only loving Carly and wanting to save his marriage, he seems awfully ready to move on with Nina. Is the ink even dry on those papers? With Nina wanting to have a sincere relationship with Sonny and Sonny being avoidant, I wonder how their relationship dynamic will change when Nina starts rejecting Sonny. I understand Anna feeling bad because Peter was family but at this point it just feels like wasted remorse. I just don't want to see Anna be depressed for months because she did the right thing and saved us all from Peter, especially now that she and Valentin just started their relationship. And if Peter hadn't made an enemy out of every person in town who are now celebrating his death, Anna's emotional attachment to Peter would have made her give Peter another chance to make amends while he serves time in prison. Anna, once you realize death couldn't have happened to a more deserving person, I'm pretty sure you'll be able to sleep like a baby when you go to sleep at night.

Nina only does what Sonny wants when it's about keeping secrets from Carly and his family but never when he asks her to leave him alone. Very bizarre to me that Nina is being applauded for keeping a medical crisis from the family of a man who she knows is experiencing a manic episode. To me, Nina has enough brain and foresight to take the necessary steps needed to inform Sonny's family and leave him alone, no matter what pushback she would receive from certain members of said family. All her hemming and hawing on the reasons she's not telling his family just seem juvenile in the face of the seriousness of Sonny's condition. No matter if you think she did the right thing or not, you have to admit that there's an element of self-interest and selfishness of wanting to be Sonny's safe haven that colors all of Nina's decisions.

I agree that romances tend to stall nowadays and creep along in a nice progression, but I feel like there hasn't been any couples recently that are fraught or throw caution to the wind. I mean, I know I would have hated Olivia and Robert together but they would have definitely shaken things up a bit. And though I very much enjoy Anna and Valentin together, they are another couple that I wish was spicier and had a more tension filled, "I know you're bad for me but I can't resist you" type of relationship. But, I guess we're starting to see some of that now. And typical Sonny. Always trying to make up for his mistakes in superficial ways. How is whatever plans he wants to make at the Savoy going to prove to Carly how much he loves her and is over his feelings for Nina? But, I guess it makes sense to his manic brain. He is clearly doing everything he can to run away from talking about his feeling for Nina to Carly, even though he clearly articulated those feelings to both Laura and Dante. To me, their marriage is done and they are both just in denial that they are different people now, and neither wants to take that first step to make a decision. It's just that after the hearing exposed Sonny's lies, Carly is more willing to let go, while Sonny is holding on for dear life.

I don't know what it is about this baby storyline but it's making me think Chase and Brooklyn are better as friends than a romantic pairing. I mean, if they were going to have them stuck parenting a child that isn't theirs AND living together, at least let them have fun and flirty encounters. Instead we have Chase being this unnecessary burden who is out of a job and has now taken up a new job of 'protecting' Brooklyn and the baby. Then we have Brooklyn flip flopping on Chase every time she gets scared of her feelings for him. I guess I'm just not understanding why it's such a big deal if they like each other. It just seems like pointless drama to me. Where is that spunk Brooklyn had with Chase that made people like this pairing in the first place?

A character whose behaviors and traits I've been noticing lately that I find extremely annoying (Note: I wrote this post a few months ago on another board but it still holds true for me today). Spencer. This boy just seems to want to have his cake and eat it too. I'm in agreement that his pairing with Trina would be a good story but that tends to blind people on how wishy washy he can be. Yes, I see that he has been making progress and taking steps towards growing up, but I still see him as this pretentious immature kid who has no idea who he is. Every decision and action he takes, is just a reflection of what other characters (Sonny, Alexis, Trina, Victor) advised him to do. The Spencer with Esme is a different Spencer that is with Trina, which is a different Spencer that is with the Cassadines and so on. So even though I think he has some great stories going on right now, I'm just finding him a bit shallow.

I could definitely buy the argument that Willow's deal would be more difficult for Nina than Michael. But as some have mentioned Michael would much prefer Nina never be a part of Wiley's life, so that was my perspective when saying it would be difficult for both sides. Now from my understanding of the conversation, Willow seemed sincere in her approach to Nina and the terms of the deal were that Nina could maintain her visitations to Wiley with Michael's consent, if she were willing to rescind her legal rights for now, as a sign of good faith. I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility for Michael to be convinced because unlike some, I believe Michael can be reasoned with or at least accept unsavory circumstances, like he did when he let Jax blackmail him into letting Nina see Wiley again. Now I agree it is a bit naïve of Willow to expect this idea to work because, to be honest, I think she will have a more difficult time trying to convince Michael to go along with this idea than Nina. But now because she approached Nina first, it seems her idea might backfire on her with Nina now possibly gearing up for a war with her asking Martin for legal advice. Now Sonny. Look, I can give it to Sonny, he makes a valid argument and is right in the fact that there are currently four people in his marriage. But again, his argument falls apart because during this transition of being back home and both having feelings for other people, complete transparency was so important to their marriage. Sonny completely failed in that department. Carly has been very transparent about her feeling for Jason and even though Sonny hates that it happened, Carly has given him the time and space to vent, hurt, ask questions, and process it. Yet, Sonny refused and still refuses to give Carly that same curtesy. It just seems that deep down both Sonny and Carly are willing to let their marriage fall apart, which I am fine with.

I know the general consensus of Willow is that she's Michael's parrot and Stepford wife, but I see Willow as finally starting to toughen and step up as Wiley's mom. Everything in Michael and Willow's relationship revolves around Wiley and I guess the way the show is trying to make it more bearable, is to now show their difference in parenting styles. Which is what I think this proposal shows regarding how Willow wants to raise her son. She sees where all this tension between the family is headed and she doesn't want Wiley caught in the middle. So she came up with a solution that is difficult for both side but will be beneficial in the long run if everyone makes the effort. Michael would get that tangible justice for what Nina did to his family that he needs and Nina wouldn't be met with rejection and apprehension every time she attempts to visit Wiley. Now to be honest, I think both sides definitely have valid arguments on reasons to reject the idea, as Nina pointed out some of hers during her conversation with Willow in the office. It's not a bad idea but do you think the challenges and animosities are too big for this idea to actually work? And I mean, Willow didn't make it sound like Nina rescinding her rights would be permanent either. Carly seems to be done with how Sonny downplays his feelings for Nina, at least I hope. It's funny cause in that confrontation with Nina, I didn't mind the outcome of Nina digging deeper into her Sonny love and Carly getting the info she came there for. Yeah, I think that conversation definitely hurt Carly with some truths Sonny kept from her but she's a brawler, always has been. So that slap was nothing to her and I'm glad it was nothing but fuel for Nina as well. Carly knew that if she pushed enough, Nina wouldn't hold back and spill some details about Nixon Falls that Sonny wouldn't tell her. And I felt like that information from Nina gave her the upper hand to push Sonny away during their kitchen conversation. Surprising that since the reveal, Carly's gotten more honest straightforward answers from Nina than Sonny. Sonny also needs to understand that forgiveness for lying to her face for months doesn't happen overnight but we know Sonny's not a patient man when he doesn't get his way. As we see with him already starting to unravel with him now constantly thinking about Nina and ignoring his prescription refill. But I really hope they move Carly's focus away from crusading against Nina to now being there for her mom while she grieves Luke and maybe buying a new house now that she's possibly moving out.

I am actually interested to see how the Carly and Drew interaction goes. Not for the potential romance but for the unique perspective Drew has of being an outsider who has kind of lived in the shoes of Jason and Carly's relationship for a hot minute in the past. But he'll now have his own viewpoints on that relationship now as his own man. I wonder what he'll say.

The next encounter between Carly and Nina will obviously be tension filled but depending on what transpires between a drunk Sonny and Nina, I want them both to have a different energy than they did before the trial. What annoys me most about Nina is her current hypocrisy of her actions speaking louder than her words. Her empty words of apology saying she doesn't want to cause problems for Sonny's family but in the same breathe pining for Sonny and reminding him of how much they loved each other in Nikon Falls, is what's annoying. What I want is for Nina to stop with the apologies and really think about what she wants, and either decide to chase after Sonny full force or back off from all the delusional talk. I'm sure an unashamed attitude would shock Carly and everyone else in town, but it would be a better progression for her character. Then I want Carly to either challenge Nina and decide to fight for Sonny or just laugh in Nina's face and tell her she can have Sonny and not to cry to her when he's too much for her to handle.
