I don't think he was appalled that she took a picture of him, I think he was appalled because she snuck and took a photo and then shared it without his permission to mutual friends.

Exactly.  He was in it for casual sex, she was in it for a relationship.  That pic shows she is wanting more than he does and she knows it, hence the sneaking photo.  I am with him on this.  She was making it something it was not.

Why doesn't anyone seem to like Alex much?  He is nice to look at, but he is a little weird.

Most Chief Stews want to know the menu before serving the guests while Fraser seemed more than happy to whatever out to the guests and then sit back and blame Anthony.  Guest satisfaction is a team effort, it's not about holding the chef's hand. Why do think they have preference sheet meeting with the department heads? To come with a game plan for the charter and that certainly includes their meals.

The bolded part is my doing.  This is so right as to what Fraser is doing to Anthony.  I normally love Fraser, but he is losing me fast on this season.  Barbie was kind of sassy at the beginning of season.  They did have a "talk" and I think Bambie is the only one that left that meeting that meant it.  She has been a hard worker and trying to please Frazer.  Now this.  It seems as though he is setting Anthony up, but I think it is more that Fraser is over his head and so preoccupied with Bambie he is letting this slide.

This is a team effort all the way around. And Fraser seeing Anthony struggle does not prompt Fraser to see if he could help.  Instead, Fraser seems to enjoy Anthony's struggle.  I do think this is partly producer driven since we have seen time and time again the crew helping the chef when needed.  I don't think I have seen anyone help him at all this season.

Also, I am still saying that the deck crew needs to be helping the chef with cleanups etc.  He should not have to do all that on his own.  Previous seasons the chefs have had kitchen help from deck.

Exactly!  All the other seasons the crew stepped up and helped the chef.  Why not on this season.  I realize interior was down one, but exterior wasn't and could have helped Chef out.  And Frazier was no help and his attitude made it worse.  Walking away muttering insults and negative comments under your breath helps no one. The food restrictions of these guests would have been hard in a fully staffed restaurant where the Chef has a Sus Chef. I still cannot believe no one thought to help him.  Even when they went over the preference sheet, they were all aware of the challenges feeding this group and should have been set up for someone to help when needed or at least check on the kitchen once in a while to see if needed.

But, in my opinion, I don't think he is 100% of the problem.  Barbie didn't feel supported when Xandi and Fraser were off on the beach excursion and should have brought it up to Fraser instead of sulking and giving him the cold shoulder.  I think she relies on childish behaviors, probably because she was indulged by her parents.  She may be a hard worker, but she is far from professional.

It would not have matter if she brought it up with sunshine coming out of her mouth, Frazier does not like her and would have cut her off stating that they are all working hard.  I think she has held herself well, considering her supervisor does not like her and dismissing everything she says.  And for him to get on to her because she is not "smiling enough" is pure Bullshit.  That was him picking at her.  What can she say to that?  It is a passive aggressive way for him to get her to quit.

I hope Kerry does not let Frazier fire her and make Frazier do his job and be a Chief Stew and manage his crew.  Thank goodness Paris is levelheaded and did not get sucked into Frazier's drama.  Not very professional of a manager taking shit about someone on his team to a new member of the team who doesn't know the dynamics of the crew.

I agree with what Bambie said about Frazier, that he doesn't like her personally, but he likes her work performance.

  4. What is wrong with Nicole??? She is trying to cram American Culture down his throat within MINUTES of being off the plane?  She constantly hounded him with questions like, "are you ok?" What do you think? Why are you not smiling?  Why didn't you sleep on the plane LIKE I TOLD YOU TO!

Does she not remember how much she hated his culture and fought him on everything when he tried to convert her?  Now he is in her country, and she is doing the exact same thing to him only she is ramped up 1000 times.  She molested him at the airport, knowing good and well it would make him uncomfortable. But she did not care, and she kept trying to kiss him while he tried to fend her off nicely.

I think she thinks America is so great that everyone wants to be an American.  No, they don't.  How can she think a very strict Muslim is going to step on American soil and suddenly want a beer, chicks and a mullet.  HA!

  5. A FLOWER BOY???? I agree, how Kyle kept a straight face when Karl told him is beyond me.  And it is OBVIOUSLY, Lindsey behind it not Karl.  She definitely has Karl's balls in her purse.  Or should I say she HAD his balls in her purse.

What a bitch.  Yeah, Kyle called Lindsey out last season because she was being a bitch.  So, all the years she has been Kyle's friend, and she demotes him down to a flower boy.  How could he or any of the guys walk down the aisle, throwing flower pedals for the bride.

So happy Karl broke free of that wretched woman.

  6. Lindsey is an expert at making Karl feel as though he is the one that is wrong.  At least on the surface he seems to.  I think he is slowly simmering below the surface and is a walking time bomb.

And Lindsey is totally gaslighting Karl.  And any comments she makes to the girls about Karl, she knows full well will get back to Karl. She is no spring chicken when it comes filming a reality show.

Look up “trying too hard” in the dictionary and you’ll find a picture of the new deckhand.   He’s very pretty (stupid hair cut aside) but there doesn’t seem to be a lot going on up stairs.  Every time he would start talking, I just kept thinking-you just sit there and look pretty honey.

Maybe I'm just a heartless bastard, but I wish we could just do the auditions without any of the sob stories.

You are not alone.  I miss all the crowds, crazy people and the really BAD singers.  I miss making fun of the bad singers and cheering on the good ones.  Now, all we get are the contestants the show picked and that is all we see, along with a polished back story.

I hate watch this show because Mr. gaPeach likes the show with all its heart string pulling back stories.

  9. This show is so calculated and staged, it is not longer fun to watch.  I miss all the bad singers they would show and make fun of.  Where's that good stuff.

Instead, we get the prepicked contestants and get a sad sob story to go with it.  I really hate this part of the show.  And they got rid of Hollywood week.  That was the BEST part.  People having meltdowns, Divas turning up the Diva, crying and fighting constants.  Ah the good old days.  Am I right?

Does anyone remember Scotty McCreary season?  He was in a group that kicked him out, can't remember why, but they did.  So, he had to find another group, which he finally did.  But what made it so much better is Scott WON.

I will hate watch this show because my hubby loves it.  He is not near as cynical as I am.

  10. I did not star watching this show until I accidentally came across last season's Tell All.  WOW.  It was a lot to unpack.

I do not know anything about any of them except Swartz because he was on Winter House.  But as an outsider looking in, they are all self-absorbed people with many issues.  So, they are all perfect for a reality show.

Yes, Tom cheated on Whatshername and he is the bad guy.  But at some point, adults move from their anger or grief and let the past go.  Yes, her friends to show support would snub the ex.  EXCEPT, this group is on a show and have to film with each other so yeah, they have to interact or no paycheck.  The line "I will cut off any friend that has a relationship with Tom as he will not have access to me" Ummmm as he is living in the house with her.

I don't know how much of an asshole Tom is or was and his way of apologizing sucks, but he has a point if the same people that are acting so self-righteous, while clutching their pearls, are assholes too.  It's hard to be sympathetic.

I find it all entertaining but sad that these adults act like Middle schoolers.  With being said that is exactly why we watch.  Am I right?

  11. William may just be a lost cause.  I really thought he was getting somewhere with Dr. Paradise when he talked about his divorce.  I thought I saw a light bulb go off over William's head.  But was wrong, I think that was the light in the refrigerator William was dreaming about raiding when he got home.

I don't see him losing the weight and his mom will continue to feed him until he is immobile and bedridden.  Too bad, as he is so wrong and could beat this, he just doesn't seem to want to.

And the sad thing about it, is I think this is the first one that was not fat from birth.  He was not overweight until adulthood and the divorce.  That just insane to me.

Lindsay is definitely making the story about how awful Carl is.  He isn’t.  But she has a history of narcissism where she cannot be to blame for anything.  It is always someone else’s fault.  Look what she did to Danielle last year.  Look what she did to the previous boyfriend a couple of seasons back.

Look at how she treated Gabby.  All Gabby was trying to do was talk to her and be a friend.  But Gabby wasn't buying Lindsey's spin on the events that ended up with her and Karl being at odds.  I think from now on a camera man needs to be in the car with Carol and Lindsey at all times!

Gordon does seem to be giving Jordan a lot of attention and I don't understand why.  Personally, I would have sent him packing last week for wearing those ripped jeans

The wings were unctuous? That’s *not* a good thing, Nyesha, no matter what Aaron Sanchez says.

I had to look up unctuous.  I had no idea this word even existed.  So was Aaron saying the wings were not oily?  What a weird and obscure word to use.  Unless I got it wrong.

This season is turning out to be my favorite but don't like the feeling that Jordan is the shoe-in winner.  For some reason, Gordon seems to like him. Go figure.

I am glad the guy with all the hair (I really need to pay attention to their names if I am going to keep watching) finally got best dish.  He deserved it.

how ridiculous was jasmine with the panties in the envelope? It was clearly some “fan” playing a prank or she set it up herself for max screen time

I could tell it was a big NOTHING when Gino just sat there with a bored look on his face.  What a joke.  I could see either a fan (or actually someone that delights in seeing Jas have a meltdown) sending that note.  The line about maybe the lip gloss will look better on her was funny and sounded fan generated.

But how Jas is not in the least embarrassed of having a full screaming meltdown in front of all those people, I will never know.  She and Nikki have no shame when it comes to temper tantrums.

I questioned last week whether Cat was going to have a meltdown each charter and here we go.  They are going to find that they do not have time to pacify this emotionally 14-year-old every time she thinks people don't like her or she's not vibing with them.  What does she expect?  That is everyone is going to pay her attention and everything will center around her when they're out?  Enough is enough.  She needs to be told to do her job like the adult she supposedly is and quit worrying about whether she's vibing with anyone or whatever.  It's six freaking weeks.  Get over it or leave.

ITA.  She is at a JOB.  Not a summer romance or friendship.  And after Captain took her out on the surfboard or whatever they call it, while Barbie worked, she still did not feel like she was fitting in.  She needs therapy if she is this sensitive to day-to-day life.

Barbie is not as near as bad as Fraser is seeing it.  I want them both to get along as I like them both.  I think Fraser is doing fine, other than his short sightedness on Barbie.

Jared needs to go home.  Someone suggested upthread that he ask the captain if he could use the ship to shore phone.  Something. Anything other than hitting the bottle and then taking Kyle to task about cleaning up after they partied.  Since when does that happen?  He is miserable and is making sure everyone knows it and feels it.

  17. Natalie actually looked even more desperate than usual in this episode. Now she is looking for Mike to "Pump her with a baby" (Mikes words).  I do not blame him at all.  It was nice of him to help Natalies's mother get to the states, as he clearly loves Natalie's mom.  I really don't know what would make Natlie happy at this point.

Next week's Tell All looks good.

Yet another odd example of the cameras being conveniently absent from a supposedly life-changing night.  It makes NO sense.  Even if they had the night off, you're telling me one of the cast wasn't jumping on the horn telling producers to call the cameras out there asap??

It is strange that some really good stuff isn't filmed.  I did know they even got a day off from filming.

How many think Lindsey was correct that Carl was on something or that she was lashing out because she was drunk.  I am totally on the "drunken Lindsey" lashing out.  She seems to do this a lot when she is drunk and getting called out for it.  I am glad they have broken off the engagement.  Carl deserves better.  I don't know what Lindsey needs........a heart maybe?

Long, bleached, ultra frizzy just isn't a good look. Thin it out. Or get it cut in a sleek updated look. Put it up. Buy some hair products to tame all that! She's just all hair, much like Kulani. I never remember Kulani ever styling her hair, it was just all over the place and not in a good way. If she was slender, I think it would have looked better but on a larger person, it was too much.

Yes I do agree with all you said.  She has great hair for women her age.  She needs a good stylist to cut her hair, so she doesn't look like Cousin IT.

From what I recall, mentors typically do send the chef with the worst dish into the elimination as a chance to save themselves. Gordon clearly was playing strategy instead by suggesting Jordan. Keep the numbers, stay out of the basement. And possibly testing Jordan. I think Jordan would have won against Angela. I wonder if not being a “team” player will cost him soon? Especially since Gordon asked him if he felt bad that Wendy lost. Wendy was absolutely in over her head.

I really thought Jordon would have stepped up and did the challenge because he seems to have quite the ego.  So, it was surprising Jordan declined and played it safe.  Apparently, he has a big ego but a lot of confidence?

Agree that Wendy needed to go.

The best thing I saw all week was when Clayton told Jasmine she should have spent the 2000K on anger management classes. That was absolutely hysterical.

I found this to be pretty funny too.  Jasmine needs some therapy STAT.

And Gino did not look that bad without the hat. I was surprised he actually took his hat off on national TV.

Nikki and Jasmine have the same temperament.  That is why they are kindred spirits.

Dumb viewer question was "Which 90 Dayer would you hook up with?".  This along with the "extra bonus footage" of the strip club seemed producer placed.

I thought her family, or maybe it is just her dad, did not know about Clayton and the wedding??  Apparently, mom knows and is not letting Anali weasel out of their ticket to America.  Why else would she be there.  She obviously does not love Clayton.  Hell, I don't think she even likes him.  He is a nerd and has a strange relationship with his mom, but he does not deserve marrying Anali who will make his life miserable.

Why are most of the people on this show so weird?

  24. I am finding this season more interesting than the previous seasons.  I think part of it is because it seems as though the chefs this year are better. I think the pros are not as strong as some on the chefs on the social and home cooks.

And I agree with poster upthread that said, when one of the chefs say "Oh I make that ALL THE TIME so this will be a breeze" and they end up having to cook to stay.  Definitely the kiss of death to any chef.

  25. IDK about the Pro Chefs.  I would have thought they would do better than the first 2 groups but they didn't.  They had more failed dishes then the others.  At least it seemed that way to me.

Lots of good contestants and this season is off to a good start.
