I don't think that they necessarily wanted a doctor in the family so much as Theo has been preparing for and attending medical school for the past 10 years. If her father is a doctor, it makes sense that they would be planning for Theo to take over his practise when he was ready to retire. It would make sense for them both; her father would know that his patients would be taken care of and Theo would have a ready-made practice instead of having to spend time to build it up.
I like Theo, he's a great, caring guy, but I also sympathize with his wife. For the last few years, while he's been doing his residency in Toronto, she's been a single parent and probably just waiting till Theo gets back so that they can have the life they've planned to have. Now suddenly Theo has decided on his own that he's going to blow all that up and he took the job in Toronto without consulting her.
It reminded me of Mark Greene in ER's first season when he and his wife had made an agreement that he would do his residency and she would do the childcare for one year, and then they would switch so that she could article and he would have the childcare responsibility. He reneged on that and it broke up their marriage. I hope that Theo does better.
I loved Mark Greene. To me he is the best tv doctor ever and ER will always be the best med show.

In the previews for next week, I wonder who the hip hop dancer was that was supposedly terrible? At least that’s how it’s edited to look. On Kat, I do like the darker hair. On Meredith, girl needs to go. I mean really. Hannah, she looks different to me. Is her hair lighter? Something is different.

for me the only sob story that actually hit me in the feels were Carissa who couldn’t do show group bc she was helping support her family and Carissa and she wasn’t even going for a pre recorded whine fest segment. She just kept it low key and it came out in Kelli’s office.
Alora Rose j cannot believe Kelli is ok with the Ultra Angel fancy stripper career. Sorry they look skanky to me.

I’ve been off these boards for awhile so this has probably been addressed before but if they’re in a bubble, why the masks when they’re all together? Also, did they announce group leaders off camera?

My husband and I are 2 episodes short of finishing season 2. Hallelujah. It’s very possible that we end it there. Good grief. I would swear that they spend 10 minutes on the body part of the story and 50 minutes in her head. There was one episode where ten minutes alone was her staring off into space. We started watching it because we love crime shows. Not soap operas. Way way way too much mental issues going on. When every damn character has an issue it takes a toll on my own mental health. Get with it showrunners! Or you’re going to lose a fan base.

Mary’s character is really starting to annoy me. She’s acting like a helicopter mom. She babies Sheldon way too much and it makes me want to slap her. I like his dad more.

Rewatching season 14 and trying to pay close attention to the pics with stickers, when they have guests pick their 36. Anyone know who DD and EW are? My mind is blank.

I didn't appreciate her attitude at the Braemar Games. She doesn't have to like the event, but those people are part of her constituents whether she likes them or not. She's as much of a snob in her way as anyone else.
Did Thatcher really think the queen did nothing but stalk and play parlor games at Balmoral? She acted like she was the only who did any work.
Though I enjoyed her sacking most of her cabinet. The worst of them were truly awful. So condescending!
His emotional neediness is so intense and exhausting. The constant propping it needs is something I could never keep up. Anne calling him Eeyore was perfect.
The Diana stuff feels a bit rushed, but then again, according to Diana herself, she and Charles saw each other only 13 times before the wedding. From some angles, Emma Corrin looks nothing like Diana, and from others it's almost uncanny.
It was driving me crazy where I'd see the actor playing Lady Fermoy (Diana's grandmother)—it's Geordie Glen, who I know as Miss Higgins (Dr. Turner's office assistant) from Call the Midwife. Interesting that she's playing a similar sort of role here!
Omg Thank You! I couldn’t for the life of me remember where I’d seen Geordie Glen! Dr Turners office assistant! I can sleep now. Lol.

Frankly other than Max I don't think the writers really care about them. They still haven't found a way to make Bloom's curmudgeon the least bit engaging. I don't think they even realize how little they've explored Helen. They show everyone else's lives, but they're content to just tell us about hers. Usually in the form of exposition that she has to deliver herself.
And Iggy is the WORST, on so many levels.
I wish that bloodstain had looked a little duller. It looked fresh, and huge!

I was hoping Dr Reynolds would punch Max dead in the face. As far as Iggy goes, I wondered went he put his hands on the kids face, that he shouldn’t be doing that. Wouldn’t bother me if they killed Max off and got a new lead. But....loving Judith Ivey’s addition to the show. I think the only reason he wanted to keep Dr Sharpe was that he knew he could get away with NOT doing anything she said. Because he didn’t.

This has probably been addressed before but, does JB get the money his adult children earn from Counting On? Because this is how I read it and I’m wondering why she would have to get lawyers to get her money from her dad. He gets the money and then doles it out to his, again, Adult children? Am I reading into all this right?

How nice to see I’m not the only one that feels that way about Peter Krause. Didn’t like him in Parenthood nor in this. And him with Angela Bassett?! No way in hell.
