  1. That was fun.  Those dancers were sure spazzing out.  My favorite parts of the episode were learning that Chaz Bono and Courtney Act actually became friends because of the show, and when Adore called Bianca her dad.

    They knew each other before.

  2. I was also warned once, for agreeing with another poster. Which I found odd, especially the 'tone' of the warning. It was worded in a way, that the mod who warned me wouldn't have tolerated if it'd been a poster. I'm not surprised to see so many people from the TWOP voice their dislike of how the forums are run on other social media sites.

  3. Max always seems to be the most annoyed with people, which is why I prefer him to Nev. it seems like Nev always gives the catfish an out. He reminds me of Dr. Drew, always making excuses for the catfish or leading the catfish to make up lame excuses. He's too sympathetic and nice!

Yes, Max any day of the week over Nev! I don't even think Nev's wide eyed optimist is authentic. Which makes me like what Nev does even less. His trying to give the Catfisher an out, as a way to gain them undeserved sympathy, comes off as very false.

I wasn't planning to watch this season until I heard a commercial say someone catfished an entire town so I set the dvr.  I was disappointed.  The town seemed to be no more than Craig, his sister and a few of her friends.  I had hopes that they had found someone who had duped an actual town for money or something,

The way it was promoted and built up did the episode no favors. I thought it'd be something along the lines of a Catfisher faking some kind of illness and garnering tons of sympathy. No, it was just some fat chick screwing around with a guy and his friends. They really over exaggerated it. Definitely not the episode to start off the new season.

  4. I agree with both of those, jonesingjay.  It's a plot I don't like in any show I've seen it in, when someone's friends or family suddenly don't believe them over something they would never lie about.  They suddenly take the word of the person they don't know, or barely know, over someone they've trusted for years. And they also usually assign some malicious intent to their friend as well.

It always bugs me in any show. I get that Golden Girls is a comedy, but still there are plenty of heartfelt moments throughout the series. It never fails to make me cringe when the good friend who the character(s) have history with can be so easily discredited by someone the character doesn't really know very well. Dorothy and Rose both come off as bitches, and it's a good thing that Blanche was willing to forgive them as easily as she did. Did Blanche ever do that to either one of them?

  5. One episode I skip, is the one where Dorothy thinks Blanche is lying about being hit on by Dorothy's date. She makes it out that Blanche is lying and doesn't give her very good friend the benefit of the doubt. It always leaves me feeling that Dorothy really did believe those little joking jabs she took at Blanche about being easy/sex crazy, etc. are true and that that was all there was to Blanche.

Come to think of it, I also don't like the one where both Dorothy and Rose believe Blanche slept with that guy who was running for senator. It's like -- they were always so quick to believe the worst about Blanche. I never did like that.

  6. Jason was the guy yelling at Sandra, right?

Wow, the aggression seemed really uncalled. Sure, I get that you're embarrassed needing help on your station, but suck it up and get the food out. He looked like an ass getting in her face and shouting at her. I say this as someone who doesn't care for Sandra, at least she held her own and wasn't frightened by the way he came at her.

Joy seems to be stepping up to the plate. I do hope this isn't a misdirection on the part of the show. I don't want her flaming out in spectacular fashion in a few episodes time.

I can easily imagine, next week going back to BOTH teams blowing it during dinner service, but I hope the women keep it up.

Who was that peeking in on the women during dinner service? Demarco? Either way, it was kind of funny that he seemed in awe of how they worked together, instead of you know, getting back to his own team and trying to push out the orders.

  7. I wonder why the Bowman's were written off. I felt they were an interesting contrast to the Connor's, but perhaps the writers felt they'd served their purpose and it was time to move on. Regardless, I did enjoy Kathy.

I'd trade Nancy for Kathy in a heart beat.

I never really warmed up to Nancy. She didn't really bring anything to the table.

  8. I don't know if this is considered an unpopular opinion, but I liked the character of Kathy Bowman. Yes, that lady was a snob, but I felt like she was a good foil for Roseanne. Someone who didn't give into being Roseanne's friend, and simply didn't care to even be neighborly to her. Even though her husband and son had friendships with Dan and D.J.
