  1. As mentioned upthread, I also watched the episode where she 'rehabbed' shat she described as being a charming A framed home. Yet, she raised the ceiling and turned it into another brick box with two huge black doors with gold knobs. A shame to see that home destroyed. But, sort of 'tickled' that she went on about how charming the home was and left it unrecognizable. Her partner, looked to be at his wits end, every time he mentioned the home being able to sell for the asking price she wanted. He looked just genuinely defeated by the whole ordeal.

Enter stage left at the end - a character I remember from SOA - you are really screwed now, Galindo....I also remember that actor from Deadwood.

Thanks for clarifying! I'm not familiar with SOA, and wondered if the guy at the end was a character on that show that viewers of SOA would know.

  3. There was a sketch that last night on SNL that featured Aidy Bryant as Meghan McCain as a guest on Morning Joe. The two hosts would ask her questions and wouldn't give her the opportunity to speak. It was a dream come true. I hope that she doesn't use this as an excuse on Monday to take a shot at the show because of it. She's proven to lack a sense of a humor.

The monologue was horribly bad, just painful. Maybe that's why I was underwhelmed for the rest of the show. I had heard of Donald Glover, but I an't say I'm familiar with him. And even less familiar was me having heard of Childish Gambino, but I had no clue he's actually Glover. That didn't help my "getting" this host or episode.

Will someone please get Pete a decent haircut? I'm not sure what's going on with that boy's hair, but it's all bad.

I didn't like this episode either. The only thing I liked was the A Quiet Place/Kanye movie mash up.

  5. No, Meghan today? Such a pity. I was looking forward to reading this thread for the blow by blow of Kathy and Meghan. I thought the View was all about making sparks.

  6. My favorite episode of this season. I like the chemistry between Sarah and Johnny. I do hope he'll be able to return for more episodes next season. I think it was a smart decision to have Darlene and David estranged. I didn't think their relationship toward the end of the original series run was good for either one of them. David came off as a milquetoast and Darlene as overbearing. I'm relieved for their characters that they aren't together.

  7. I enjoy the show. The couple/hosts don't bug me. The lack of heightened drama and only seeing the homeowners at the beginning and the end of the show is a breath of fresh air.

I may not like all of the design choices, but the only thing that sort of bugs me in a 'You can't be serious' way. Is those drawings the wife presents at each potential home. It's cringe-inducing watching the homeowners fakely 'oh' and 'ah'.

  8. Did anyone catch, what the audience member shouted out at the top of the segment that Meghan responded to with a defensive tone? She seemed on edge from that moment forward. She always seems on edge. Bless your heart, Elsa.

I got distracted by what a complete asshole Lin Manuel was, and how inexplicably everyone was on his side.

I really disliked him throughout. Kudos to him for a good acting job. I was amused when Larry accidentally shot him in the mouth with the paintball gun. Although, I wanted to see Fatwa! the musical happen I didn't want it to be based on Lin Manuel's awful suggestions.

I took a closer look at this picture and you can see in the rows of people near the fireplace that Johnny Galecki is there wearing glasses and the hairstyle of Leonard from Big Bang Theory. I wonder if the two soundstages are close by to each other. If they are, it might make it easier for him to appear even though Big Bang is currently in production.

    That's not him.

After waiting SO LONG for one of my favorite comedies (and they're getting fewer and fewer), I was disappointed in Episode One...and now, Episode Two!    Am I now the curmudgeoness?

I'm right there with you. I've enjoyed a couple of bits in each episode. Overall I find this season less funny than previous ones.

Also, someone mentioned this upthread, but Larry really does seem to be enjoying himself this season. It appears that he'll 'break' character at any moment.

  12. I like the Nazi's. Specifically the bald one without the face tattoos. Black Cindy is my favorite character. I no longer care about Pousey's death. The best scene of season 5 was the beatnik coffee house scene.
