  1. Two pages of typing and font debates! 🤣 Love it. Elsbeth, what have you done to us? The dang with what we think of the show, but are we typing properly! Being of the older generation, I loved everyone’s input and it brought back memories. Another thing about learning to type in our day, we could type without looking at the keyboard. I remember when my son was a child, he would ask me to type what his friends were saying. I would be looking at them and typing word for word what they were saying. The amazement on their faces was priceless, like I was performing magic. Ah, the power we had when kids were small. 😉

Oh and I enjoyed the episode. 😁 Looking forward to more. Perhaps a debate on how 1-hour speedy service to have photos developed is now a snail’s pace compared to instant selfies.

The overdone Minnesota accents drove me crazy, especially from the female officer and Dot.

The overdone accent is intentional. It’s a Fargo thing, right from the start with the movie. I especially liked Indira’s accent. It was even more OTT. Makes me chuckle every time.

Not "tame", he said "break". And I have no doubt he meant that in every sense of the word.

Semantics. He meant tame. He “broke” her well enough. Her jaw, ribs…

I get that they want to show the extent of Roy's villainy but those injuries that Nadine sustained look like acts committed by someone out of control, fueled by pure rage.

If he hit Karen when she only clipped his ear a bit, I can see him losing it over Dot who was constantly “disobeying” him. As he himself said, he couldn’t tame her like he did his other women. Dot would have frustrated him to no end and he was probably flying off the handle all the time with her.

It wasn’t funny and he didn’t deserve that. Neither did his poor wife and family who are hysterical over his disappearance.

That’s exactly what black comedy is. It’s not to be taken seriously. If he’s as much of an ass at home as we’ve seen, the wife is probably playing it up and is cheering inside. 😉

I’m sorry but I just really don’t like Dot. I should be rooting for her, but gaslighting Wayne and behaving like a sociopath has put a serious dent in my sympathy. Plus her voice is every bit as annoying as Marge Simpson’s.

The characters are always majorly flawed. It’s a black comedy. We’re not necessarily supposed to be rooting for them, just going along for the ride. I also don’t think Dot is gaslighting Wayne. I thought she was saying as little as possible for his and Scotty’s safety.

  7. I’m disgusted with the cancer plot. This has to be the quickest a relationship went full circle. Meeting, falling in love, marrying, funeral. All in 5 minutes! At this rate he’ll be gone next episode.

  8. I laughed with Pat’s throwaway line… “I have told you, and every time you say… ‘Oh, speaking of an ax, I’ve got a boner.’ “ That’s a man for you. 😉

And Gaynor’s deduction as to why she’s possessed was great. Yep, all teens are possessed. 🤣

Stellss, you’ve said it yourself that Paul is ruthless. Don’t fall for it!

She said it because she thought he outright stole the code from her. He looked suitably sorry for that situation so not as dire as she made out. And now she gets to run the company, not something she’d give away easily.

Caryl is very meddling and inappropriately intrusive

Although, you often can’t win as a parent. If you show concern, you’re being intrusive. If you let them live their lives, you’re accused of not caring, not taking the time to find out about their life. Being a mother can be a thankless job.

As much of an ass as he is, I don’t like the idea of it being pinned on her husband.

No? I’m liking the idea. Put away all the cheating bastards for murders they didn’t commit. Perfect punishment! 😁

And this is when I cancel Starz until next year.

Unfortunately I got a 6-month special offer figuring it would last the whole season of Outlander. Now the next 3 months will run out and I’ll have to get another subscription whenever the show decides to come back. Grrr.

I think I heard a collective cheer. They’d better actually get to Scotland. If their ship is attacked by pirates and they end up in Timbuktu, I’ll be seething.

Oh, groan. Yeah, this. I didn’t even consider that we might not even get to see Scotland. 😫 Or if their ship sinks and they’re separated AGAIN. How many bets Claire gets kidnapped again.

You kind of did though. How many people you think did it to Phil Collins in the 80s? All of them.

Nope, did not need the scene. I’d rather have seen all those people from the 80’s go at it than Bree. Even that she can’t act out well.

By the buzzing sound, and that feeling of chaos they get. Brianna clearly felt that, given her reaction. It’s not a matter of knowing, but figuring it out. Wouldn’t be difficult to put two and two together. Claire suspected right away that the water in the cave in the Caribbean was a portal. Guess she’s smarter than her daughter. 😁 If I’d gone through that experience even once before (and they’ve now done it what, three times?) and heard and felt it again, anywhere, I’d stay well away from it, not jump right into/through it!

That’s exactly what I thought, that her first thought would be to stay away before she went flying off to another time. Like you say, Claire thought it instantly, why wouldn’t Bree? How often do you hear such strong buzzing and get that feeling of dread? I was shocked that she actually went into it!

I didn't know who it was either. Clearly, Roger did, so that's why I looked it up. I don't think you can really blame the show.

I do blame the show.  The actor change spoiled the affect, and the writers, director,  etc should have realized this.  They should have had Roger call him by name.  People like us who eventually went on the internet know.  People who haven’t think  the ambiguity is intentional and that revealing it ahead of next week is a spoiler.

I absolutely blame the show! I was baffled so looked it up but we shouldn’t have to. It has no impact if you don’t know who it is. There are ways to have identified him, or else don’t end the show with a cliffhanger that makes no sense.

So one moment Jamie and Claire are in Wilmington (I think) meeting with Tom Christie and the Sons of Liberty guy and suddenly they are hundreds of (maybe closer to a thousand) miles away in NY with no adventures in between?  really?  wtf did we miss?  i guess something to do with their ship?

You didn’t read SassAndSnacks’ post right before yours? She explains exactly what was missed (pirates part).
