  1. I am distracted by the hair and wardrobe. I kept thinking could they have styled the character differently? I will probably stick with is I am a fan of James Lesure.

Is there anyone would didn’t guess that Albert and the neighbor would get together?

I wanted a scene with Buck talking to Chim and Maddie where he tells them all about the date.  They both look at him like he’s crazy asking him “you told her that story?”

I admit to hitting fast forward during all but the denouement scene.  The bonus of watching Rear Window for me is Grace Kelly’s Fashion (with a capital F) and the great Thelma Ritter, who makes everything better.

Did Athena tell Michael any of legal penalties of spying on people?  How are they going to explain why/how they knew the guy was up to something or to look for the woman?  I did think they were going to go with the plot device that Michael hallucinated the whole thing because he had a brain tumor but quickly remembered all the shenanigans with the others.  That is how much I was paying attention.

They did a great job of casting Hen’s mom.  At first I thought that the styling of the hair and glasses was influencing my perception a bit but during the scene in the car where it was not as noticeable you could better see a mother/daughter resemblance.

Who was the actor playing the neighbor that got hit by the mis-deployed Humvee?  And could anyone identify the patch on Hen’s red jacket?  Baum or Blaum?

I had a similar thought - I thought "Maybe you're struggling with dating because you're kind of an asshole." She just seemed like a pill.

I thought their caper was hilarious. I also liked that the show touched on non-essential workers - like, of course most of the cast of the show remains employed because there will always be emergencies, but there are fields that are shrinking. If Michael works in the commercial space, it stands to reason that he hasn't worked in a while.

I love it when they do stuff together. Remember when they were blowing out walls in Bobby and Athena's house?

The little girl who plays Nia is so cute. Where do I know Hen's mother from? I recognize her face but I can't place her.

The show started 10 minutes late due to a sports overrun, and I missed the ending. Will stream it at Hulu tomorrow, or whenever it's available.

I knew the dog wasn't in attack mode. Everyone really needs to be taught dog body language. It's sad how many misunderstandings happen because we generally aren't reading dog signals properly.

I am far from a dog person. Even I knew that dog wasn't in attack mode. I kept saying he needs help. Follow him.

So this episode cemented for me that they totally only give Lola a husband to keep the "will they or won't they" out of her friendship with Mark. Now they've established that she has one, they're happy ... and he never has to appear on screen.

(The actor was on 9-1-1, and I remember because it was one of my favorite scenes. Athena, a cop played by Angela Bassett, was hooking up with him and got herself stuck in her own handcuffs during their tryst. She had to call her friend Hen, a paramedic, to get the keys. Hen absolutely fell the fuck out laughing when she showed up. The whole scene was gold.)

This is one of my favorite scenes between Athena and Hen LOL. Hen was about the take pictures of them in the handcuffs.

April feels tremendous guilt, there is no doubt that she will end up telling Choi about the kiss.  Choi won't handle it well, and they will probably break up.

I sure as hell hope Dr. Marcel doesn't end up in a love triangle with April and Natalie.   No one deserves that.  The dude already has enough trauma in his life with some past experience involving a child.  It is his vulnerability.   No doubt Natalie will try and probe deeper into that and end up intimately involved with him.   Much like The Blob, Natalie will probably devour Marcel to the point where there is nothing left but a puddle of goo.   April will scoop that goo up in a jar and put it on her bedside table.  She will give that jar a hug and a kiss every night before she goes to sleep.

That is when she will be pregnant by Choi OR sleep with Dr. Marcel and be pregnant the the first time around.

And from the shallow end of the pool (please don’t throw things at me): every time I see Ella I completely don’t get why the son would have a relationship with her, she looks about 45 (a frumpy 45) and now we know has a ton of mental issues, and we are supposed to believe Vijays 25ish son was attracted to her, in a relationship and got her pregnant. Sorry but even in this show which is mostly ridiculous (and I say that as a watcher of Chicago Med) this is just too much.

I figured it was a one night stand or he was using her for a place to stay.

EJ can really sing.  I hope he and Virginia make it (although they probably won't).  I think Dean is too much for her to deal with.

I think Desna looks awful with all that makeup and some of those getups she wears.  Sure, she's "sexy" if you like that type, but it's too much, over the top.

I agree. I think everything is so tight she always seems to have issues breathing.  Why must everything be so tight... sheesh.

So another season of BB to love/hate for the summer. Very happy there’s an all newbie cast this year. Still figuring out who is who, but I don’t hate anyone yet, surprisingly. I kind of like the Tiger Daughter (Isabella?) and I’m hoping for totally shallow reasons that Jack doesn’t turn out to be a total douchebag. Geeky Girl is getting close to maxing out the annoying meter though, and the guy who got voted camp counsellor needs to throttle it down big time.

I wish they would make them wear big price is right name tags for 2 weeks.

I'll say it. Jackson was being racist. 3 POC and the old guy. Sure, tell yourself he wasn't being racist. Does not make it true.

    I noticed this also.

Jeez, Julie. What the hell are you wearing???  Babydoll pink lace last night and late 80’s spring formal prom dress tonight. I wouldn’t have thought you pissed off the costume department this early in the season, although Mr. Moonves did spread himself around...

In actual game comments, shoutin’ Sam must turn down the volume or I’m going to get a truck and make me some roadkill. Speaking of roadkill, I’ll also aim for that stupid squirrel too.  I’m already bored by the camp theme so I think it could be a loooong summer.

My mom asks the same thing. LOL. I always reply i have no idea mom. None whatsoever.

I found her thoroughly unlikeable.  Bunny-boilerish. No idea why....well, ok, the screaming and acting precious contributed.

Her “happy happy joy joy” voiceovers really bugged.

EHh I didn't care for her either. Nothing else was on last night so I hung around.

Next time someone asks to borrow money I'm going to redirect the conversation to how much phone battery they have remaining.  Masterful, Jason.

But...why didn’t they go back and get that mattress? They pulled over right away, so it wasn’t that far bacK. The two helper guys who packed up all their stuff could have walked back and retrieved it, no?

They should be glad that it didn’t cause an accident. Someone could have easily been killed if that suddenly flew into their vehicle on the highway going 70mph.

The whole mattress situation was frustrating to me.

I kept saying go back and get the freaking mattress!!! They didn't have it anything in their truck strapped down.  Bless their hearts.

Allen and Vianey really rallied at the end. I wasn't so optimistic when V said she needed her carbs, and Allen was secretly cheating.

Vianey was so desperate to have the  surgery that she was more upset that it didn't happen even though she almost died

When they showed the interior of their home, my first thought was: "Wow, it needs a good cleaning" and secondly, "Wow, someone sure loves hot pink."

My mom said who has all of that hot pink? LOL

I replayed the accident a few times (mainly to chuckle at the extra as ambo who trips on his way to help) and Bloom shouldn't be at the back of the accident based on her position. No sign of Helen anywhere.

Don't care about Mrs Max or baby but I was surprised Mrs Max lived - thought we'd go for the whole tragic single Dad trying to run a hospital narrative.

    LOL! I noticed that also.

I know I will get ridiculed but I love Ripley and Vic. I fell in love with Brett Tucker on McLeod's Daughters ages ago. I think she is cute and funny as Hell. Ripley needs that. Wish their romance was under better conditions.

I don't think Pruit went to Hawaii, I think they are in a themed bar. We'll see next week!

Jack and Maya, jury still out.

I like Dean's sister, she keeps him off balance. I like it.

    Overall pretty good episode.

I loved them too. I am tearing up (while watching at work) about him dying.

For some reason at the beginning of the show I felt she was going to die.   I figured at 9:45 she was in the clear.

I felt terrible for her from the start of the show, as she was really alone, the abuse and the rest.    The sadness on her face was heartbreaking.

She never really had a life, so shame on her so called parents and family.

Yet she was putting herself thru school and there was an intelligent person inside her.

I hope she experienced a little happiness and hope before she died. She deserved so much more.

For me it was when she got stuck in the taxi. I am not sure why it was that scene. I said to myself she isn't going to make it to the end of the show. When she went outside and did the weights is when I said she is going to die.

^^Amen to that, especially the bolded parts.

I'm still a little haunted by that scene where both Jeanne and her mom were being sent to the hospital by Dr. Now, because both had serious infections. Jeanne was nearly sobbing (IIRC), saying "I thought I was going to get weight loss surgery, but instead I'm having to go back to the hospital." Saying "hospital" like it was prison or worse.

That was such a jolt - what a disconnect from reality. Not "I have another infection which has to be treated and this is a disappointing setback for my weight loss program." Just a childish tantrum: "I don't WANNA GO to the hospital! I want my WEIGHT LOSS SURGERY!"

And this is the woman who was shocked to be told on her first visit to Dr. Now, that she would have to LOSE WEIGHT before getting the surgery, by eating what the doctor told her to. I think she never internalized that, and never grasped what bariatric surgery really meant, and how would fit into an overall program of weight loss. I think her IQ wasn't subnormal-  but there's something not quite right in her head.

It was too her, she knew they were going to feed her correctly. She fussed about that diet EVERYDAY!
