At the time, it didn’t feel like Evan was going so slow. Watching the show I was going crazy. We could have easily got to that last clue if he hadn’t been so off the pace.
Relatedly, I absolutely knew Allison Janney, but SOMEone ate up all the time and I couldn’t get in fast enough. You can see my buzzer lights.
My 14-year-old knew Maginot Line. I very definitely did not.
At the end (you don’t see it on TV) I leaned over and gave Barton a little grief for being Canadian. I believed every US schoolchild knows 1620. But the aforementioned WWI expert teenager didn’t know it either.
The taping was January 29. Alex had not yet announced his diagnosis, though he must have been aware something was wrong, and seemed hale and hearty, not at all frail. I hope he has years left with us.
