I am curious about her podcasts, however I can't  give up so many minutes of my life listening to this brainless twat. Anyone else here been brave enough to listen? If so, I am in awe of you!

u/additionalwar8759 on Reddit recaps all the Vanderpump podcasts. So you can find out what garbage Rachel or the Tom's or Lala spew without damaging your ears or contributing to their success because fuck Sandoval and Schwartz.

Too bad Vinnie isn't still around so Hope could maybe find out about how Thomas drugged Liam to sleep with Steffy and had plans to drug her so he could rape her.

If I live to be 10000 I will never understand what the hell the writers were thinking when they wrote Vinny's exit story. He threw himself in front of Liam's car so Liam would go to jail and Thomas would finally get Hope? Really, Bell??

Well, since this is B&B, I doubt violating the HIPAA rules will stop Finn from miraculously saving Eric.

HIPAA rules are for suckers and Satanists!

Although if Finn manages to pull out the cure for whatever is killing Eric, Liam is going to have a hell of a time getting in between him and Steffy. It's really satisfying watching both Hope and Steffy commit to whatever they've got going on (I can't call Thomas and Hope a relationship) and flat out reject his lame attempts at keeping them on ice. He deserves it.

I'm totally okay with unnamed soap diseases. We get invested in the characters on soaps, watching them longer than we know some of our friends. When a character succumbs to a disease, and someone watching also has that disease, it can be very emotionally upsetting, even devastating for that viewer.

That's true. Either keep it vague or come up with a disease that would never exist in reality. Case in point, Jungle Madness on DAYS. That remains my favorite soap illness and I'm bitter to this day that it's not a real thing. I would love to be able to tell someone, in all serious, that I was suffering from "Jungle Madness".

  5. Captain Lee had no say about the casting but he was allowed to fire them without getting the approval from production. Sandy might have the same set up but since it's Sandy and she's such a terrible judge of character I'm sure she'd keep him around regardless.

I'm split on the decision to bring Kyle back. On the one hand it's obvious that he's so unpleasant that they did it to get people to react and hate watch but on the other 51 Minds are so inept that I can see them thinking that we'd love him for his bitchy talking heads etc and he'd be embraced like Josiah and Fraser (to a lesser extent) were and they're surprised that nobody can stand him.

The twins graduated over there and Phoebe came home first, had a musical career with some bad singer called Constant-stink and then had a triangle with Rick and Taylor the saint.

Oh, God, I remember that. Rick randomly became an opera singer competing in contests with Phoebe because the actor was a trained opera singer in real life. It's not the most absurd plot point this show has done but it's up there.

I've said in the past that I wish Steffy could be a bit smarter in her dealings with Sheila, but the fact of the matter is this woman has terrorized her family since before she was born, was the reason she lost years with her mother and is only reaching out to her husband because he happened to marry her. A sucker punch is the very least of what she's owed, and I say this as someone who has no use for Steffy 95 percent of the time.

How much time did she actually lose with Taylor? I think in reality Hunter Tylo was only away for a couple of years but SORASing made the time much longer.

What is your theory with regard to why Frankel is trying to eviscerate Bravo?

Andy Cohen and Jeff Lewis “ambushed” her on WWHL? “Isn’t your ReWives podcast a little hypocritical?”

Bravo rejected her pitch for a reality show about wealthy and/or celebrity mothers rearing high-profile children in Connecticut?

Frankel wasn’t receiving the attention she feeds on from her Instagram posts about cosmetics she purchased from Target?

Does Bryn stand a chance? Will she end up emulating Frankel?

I couldn't pin down her motivation for this war she's started with Bravo but like most things Bethenny it probably has something to do with her feeling slighted. So it could be all the things you listed but it's definitely not because she suddenly cares about the working conditions at Bravo and the exploitation of the talent. I'm sure she feels like her position in the hierarchy isn't being respected and in the Vanity Fair article she basically takes credit for the entire franchise being successful. It could also be something as simple as she's bored and BStrong isn't getting as much press (even though there are always humanitarian disasters that need help.

As far as Brynn goes, I think she's beyond saving. Bethenny got what she wanted, full custody and a complete annihilation of the relationship between her daughter and her daughter's father. The generational curse will not be broken by Brynn, that's for sure.

Like the recent attempted rapes on Below Deck Down Under, Gary King's of Below Deck Sailing Yacht sexual misconduct, and Brandi Glanville inappropriately touching Caroline Manzo on Ultimate Girls Trip Morocco. I would like to see those mentioned.

Or the actual rape of Gary on Below Deck SY that aired because they didn't realize that a paralytic drunk man saying "no" and the woman saying "don't worry, I've already put it in" was, you know, rape.

Alas, they weren't mentioned and they won't be. So I'm Fighting The Power by trolling Bravo social media with pictures of Andy and Ramona post firing and reminding them that they filmed and aired a sexual assault and didn't realize it.

To get back on topic because this is a Vanderpump Rules Thread- Sandoval blows!. In the words of Bart Simpson, he both sucks and blows. And I will never not laugh at the denim kilt and ladies jacket he wore to BravoCon in some misguided attempt to be Harry Styles.

  10. I honestly don't know. They only people they got on the record were Bethenny, Leah McSweeney and Eboni Williams from New York. It featured bad behavior from Ramona Singer but we already knew she was a Trump loving racist so it wasn't anything new (although I am enjoying her finally experiencing consequences for her behavior, however brief it may be). There was nothing on the numerous sexual assaults, some of which they air without realizing what they are because Bravo execs are morons. It was mostly a few people on background saying they are encouraged to drink and Bethenny pumping herself up as the Sun King of Reality TV.

Do you happen to know what Vanity Fair covered regarding Rachel in the Bravo “Expose”?

The square root of fuck all.

Actually, that's not entirely correct. It rehashed what Bethenny and Rachel talked about on her podcast. But was there new information? No.

Can anyone recommend seasons to skip until I get to 10?

I'm not sure you can skip any. If there was no Scandoval I'd say skip Season 9 but there's a lot to analyse re Tom and Rachel's behaviour. Season 6 is excellent so you shouldn't skip that, no Scandoval Easter eggs but  there's some stuff showing Tom's crap personality. Season 5 is pretty good, that's when we meet Rachel and also see the first seeds of Tom not liking the woman he's with to thrive. You can probably skip Season 8 but you have to watch the last episode so you can see fuckface Jax's last stand. Season 7 was pretty dull, it was the start of 2 years of Jax and Brittany wedding crap. Watch the episode when Lala goes crazy at a brunch and screams at Billie, Rachel, James and Tom but skip the rest. So that's my answer. Skip 7 and 8 and suffer through the tedium of 9. Enjoy 5 and 6 and then strap on for Season 10.

  13. So is Thomas going to be evil again? I'm not going to lie, I prefer him that way because 'good' Thomas is so cloying but they can't keep make him bad every 9 months if they are never going to make him face consequences for it (and no, therapy with his mother doesn't count). It's breaking the contract soaps should have with the audience in that the good guys should eventually win and the bad guys should eventually pay. They dont have to pay forever but they need to experience some type of consequence before they move to their next crime. I also wish Hope would stop asking him to tell her that he loves her before they bonk. It's creepy and starting to ignite his lunatic side.

Yeah I could be wrong, but I don't think that's what she's actually implying. I think she's instead implying he knew for hours that she was dead but delayed reporting it to police and lied about what he saw and that Masterson likely helped him craft the story he told to authorities.

It could be that. Maybe I spent to long reading a reddit thread where people are convinced that her comment is a confirmation that Kutcher killed her and then called Masterson so he could talk him through covering his tracks and pinning it on some random man who is now serving the life sentence that he should be serving. Which...no.

Chrissie is currently a proud resident of Idgafkistan! She is spilling all the tea.

I say this carefully and with the caveat that I believe Chrissie was raped and I believe that she's been subjected to "fair gaming" from Scientologists. Chrissie is a conspiracy theorist. She was deep into the Wuhan lab and vax scam and had some wild theories about what happened to Julian Assange in the Ecuadorian Embassy. I just don't believe what she's implying about Kutcher conspiring with Masterson about that murdered woman he was casually dating.

My takeaway from the letters are that Kunis and Kutcher don’t believe he is guilty. They, and most of the others who wrote statements, emphasized that Danny Masterson was anti-drugs. They both credit him with their not using drugs. The judge allowing the prosecution to focus more on the belief that the victims were drugged which was a very important part of the trial. It wasn’t allowed in the first trial and is expected to be something that will come up in his appeal.

That's a really interesting point. I took it as just more Scientology crap because of their obsession with drugs, whether they are prescribed or recreational. Because as we all know, smoking a joint is inordinately worse than raping 5 women. But maybe his lawyer told them to highlight that for appeal issues.

I wonder what was redacted in Bijou's letter. It was obviously related to her kidney issues, would the judge hide that to protect her privacy? Or maybe she spoke about her own drug history which would go against the Masterson party line.

I wonder if her sippy-sips have anything to do with the (suppressed) trauma of that one drunken night...?

I think Margot said on instagram that her relationship with alcohol had been terrible for a while and she was barely touching it now. So maybe she was going hard before the Luke assault but only on nights out and then after Luke she was relying on it more to cope. It's understandable and I'm glad she's in a better place now but I don't think she deserves to be second stew and I'm going to be annoyed next week if Aesha caves.

And is there anything lamer than Culver's questionnaire?

On reddit someone recapped that in part 3, Rachel claims Graham became a biter because of James!

That doesn't surprise me. We know that piece of crap gets off on being bitten. He's an alcoholic and probable drug addict and Rachel cut him off for 2 years before they parted. I could see him encouraging the dog to bite him as a work around. I'm not accusing him of bestiality but I believe her on this. I believe her on most of the tidbits she dropped regarding James and Sandoval. Less so regarding the reunion pile on and some of the Ariana comments and her belief on what Bravo owes her.

From what I remember of that, the only thing that really changed is Ridge became available and Brooke couldn't put distance between her and Deacon fast enough to get back with him. Or maybe that's when she started blocking custody of Hope, I'm not sure cuz it's been a while.

I always thought that the speedy end of Brooke and Deacon was due to Bell finally realizing the damage it was doing to his lead female. How could the audience be expected to get over how fucked up it was after that confrontation between Brooke and Bridget at the cabin? Her fight with Deacon was great as well- "You reek! Kissing you was like licking an ashtray!" Ending it was for Brooke's longevity but like everything Bell does it was done in one episode and then we were expected to mind wipe everything that came before it. Brooke and Deacon were hot but back then Sean Kanan was on fire with everyone. I liked him with Brooke. I liked him with Bridget. I liked him with Amber. I think he could have pulled it off if they tried to pair him with Rick. He was just chef's kiss.

On the other hand, while Annika was selling the hell out of her scenes, I just have this visceral creeped out reaction to MA. I don't even think it's exclusively just Thomas as a character, but something about the way he plays him, or something.

I recently fell down a youtube rabbit hole and was watching the storyline where Thomas was leveraging Douglas's adoption with Hope sleeping with him. He was gross and creepy but I came away thinking that he's a pretty good actor. When being a bastard. Now they've got him as a good guy and they've hand waived every bad thing he ever did and we're just meant to accept that he's changed. Now the actor offends me. He's boring as a good guy. The whole thing gives me flashbacks to Ford on One Life to Live. I hate unearned redemptions on soaps.
