The scene when Lorelai takes Luke up to change for the talk at the high school in S3, E4. Jess' interaction with them is great in it too. The whole scene is adorable, but my favorite bit: Luke: " and it's gotta be something I don't have to put together" Lorelai: "What?" Luke: "My toy" (this always sounds a little dirty to me) Lorelai: "Got it!" Luke jumps back to conversation in progress from earlier in the scene, my husband and i do this all the time. It shows them being flirty and in sync with each other. I just love it.

Hey- if any of you are still following this thread, deepfriedcake just finished her awesome story, "Luke Danes Meets his Match"! It is novel length, AU with a sprinkle of supernatural, and a lovely story, awesome ending! I hope you all will read/review and encourage her to keep sharing her talents with the LL faithful!

Sad. I was hoping to read more of her stuff. I was a teensy bit hopeful bc it looked like some people had posted temporary links to copies of SoG that they had saved, but those links are all expired. Thanks for the info and tell her I absolutely love her stories!

So- I have been re-reading Olivia Jane's fic "Danes Family Rules." She mentions on her website that she is a published author. I enjoyed reading Mags books, does anyone know what name Olivia Jane is published under? I'd like to read her published work as well. I'm still kinda sad I never got to read State of Grace. If anyone knows a copy of it anywhere I'd be the happiest of happy. I'm running out of quality novel length LL stories and it's making me sad. 🙁

Thanks for the great suggestions everyone! Just a side note- does anyone know of some particularly good ones on AO3 or on other sites/ blogs? Stories that aren't on ff.net? I see so many references to BWR, but my understanding is that is gone :( I wrote my first two fics just this past month, I am wondering if I should post on AO3 as well. I see that some people do. New chapters from PurryCat and Brittaden today! Yay!

Me too! Have you read Joining by netherfield? Really different direction for the Luke/Lorelai story but really angsty and beautiful in it's own way. Also, for all you Coffee Drinker fans, she has started another sequel to It's Right there and It's Still There! Give her some love and encouragement, two chapters already up! It's Always There

Can I also suggest for your reading pleasure, try checking out savvyliterate for some good AU stories, she has some great stuff :) She posts pretty regularly. Also have you all read Defining All In by JumpingCattleHockey? Loved it. DFC- thank you so much for the Hallow's eve story! I loved it!
