There has to be drama about why Gina is so far back?! I took a little break from reading this stuff and then saw the videos on Instagram and freaked out. I’m so confused?! Maddie and Amy are boring as hell and point. Amber is meh... but inconsistent. I feel like she messes up on little stuff. Gina was so robbed. I probably would I have quit if I were her, because it’s a slap in the face to be moved back like that. I come from a dance background and think best dancers should be front and center. This whole rotating point thing is stupid.

It finally happened. This recent point stuff has brought this long time, super lurker out of lurkdom.
I know the discussion has shifted to final cut and am happy to get right back to that, but I’m still shook.
Gina was robbed. This has nothing to do with looks - I will never say anything negatively about the way someone looks. In fact, I think Maddie and Amy are both pretty girls. They ALL are. However, I was a big Kash fan and personally think she killed it at point. She was dynamite and those are tough shoes (boots) to fill. You replace a dynamite point with a dynamite point. Gina, to me, has that it factor you want to see in a point. Amy and Maddie are phenomenal dancers, but Gina is someone you can’t look away from when she performs.
I can’t help but wonder if I’m just confused and disappointed in the shared point decision. Maybe I would feel differently if they had selected just Maddie or just Amy. I’m rooting for everyone and at many times during my lurking I’ve thought to myself “self, I could totally get behind Amy or Maddie as point.” However, when the decision is made to share point... that’s where things get weird for me. If they’re going to do that, why not Gina and Maddie? Why not Heather and Amy? Why not Gina and Heather? *Insert any combination of girls here* I imagine the girls must be wondering the same thing. It’s easier to grasp and accept if just one person is selected.
At this point (no pun intended?), the decision has been made and I would never wish for point to be taken away from anyone. It’s not their fault this was the decision they came to and Amy and Maddie have both been great DCCs and certainly wonderful ambassadors and deserving of recognition. I just don’t get it, that’s all.
More importantly, in what DCC world do I live in that Gina is not in the triangle at all?

Lexie in the triangle is ridiculous. I am a fan of hers. But she is not a strong enough dancer. Cannot believe Gina is not in the triangle, or even point. Kind of have lost hope for this team.

My guess would be someone in the picture is who was cut. That’s how it was with Tara. Like a group “goodbye” dinner.

I’m thinking placement was mostly seniority based for this event. Probably to get us to react the way we are right now. Amy screwed up and seems to be spacey. Remember a couple of seasons ago, she messed up the jump split and laughed at Judy or Kelli and they went OFF on her. Don’t get me wrong I love her. But don’t see her as point. #teamgina

There probably isn't a person on this board that hasn't felt personally attacked at some point or another, but most of us have dealt with it and moved on. Sounds like Kelli hasn't and is letting her personal feelings overrule common sense and leadership.
See above. Also, Kelli will likely lose a LOT of girls this year because of this. I was actually surprised that more girls DIDN'T leave at the end of last year. Maybe they didn't expect to see Victoria again this year so were shocked/dismayed when she showed up.
It's a thought and would be a plausible one if Victoria hadn't handed Kelli at least 5 reasons to cut her throughout the season and yet Kelli refused to take her up on any of them despite the fact that she would have dropped another candidate in a heartbeat for ANY of them, much less all of them, long before Victoria was cut. In fact, wasn't Victoria cut on what was allegedly the last night of Training Camp? That would indicate that both she and Kelli expected her to make the squad that year.

I also will add that the main reason I took them was because they were only 3 days a week or 2. Therefore I could have more free periods or got to leave early on days I didn’t haven’t class.

Based on her work towards college credits while still in high school, it looks to me like education is important to VK.Not to down play the dual credit classes, but I did that in high school as well. Yeah I don’t think I can watch this season. There is no way in hell VK earned SG over Jayln. I mean she performed last season most of a game with pink eye. So frustrating.

Her tummy also seems wide to me. She seems to be thin and not chubby, but her waist is wide. Not sure if she can change that or not. Maybe a waist trainer or something. Who knows. But her tummy just looks weird to me on the pics I saw of her.

I’m a newer fan. But have there been other years with two blondes in the triangle? Maybe they’ll darken heathers hair like to Lauren’s color and that’s why Gina’s is platinum. Just trying to envision it.

I don’t think it’s very reasonable to expect someone to change their flexibility in less than 2 weeks. If that were the case in this situation.

One of my best friends got into it in early high school. She was competitive cheer. Still takes it now and we’re pushing 30. It’s scary stuff. She tries to quit and just can’t.

I’m really hoping Alexis doesn’t become point. Nothing against her. But in that media day Instagram vid my eyes kept going to Gina. And I’m just a firm believer that the best dancer should be point. I really think know one comes close to her. Best power and technique combo.

I hope you’re correct. But after last year’s scene where she’s crying about not making it, I’m leaning towards them letting her have it so she can make extra appearances and they can prove to the audience that not only was she ready for the team, now she’s a stand out talent.

2020 Audition Speculation
in S15
Cassidy is BFFs with Patrick Mahomes (Chiefs QB)girlfriend Brittany Matthews. (I’m a Chiefs fan and live in KC) I saw a post from a while back, it may have been her “it wasn’t my year post” with Jackson Mahomes (Patrick’s younger brother) telling her she should do Chiefs cheer this year. Not sure if she would consider that.
I know she flies up here pretty frequently to hang out with Jackson and Brittany. She also accompanied them to the Chiefs victory parade and has been to several games and repoed at Mahomes Jersey. Not sure how TPTB would feel about her close friendship with another team’s QB and star player at that.
She has been posting hip hop videos recently.
