I thought that whole "I've studied sketch comedy" bullshit on the beach was as annoying as hell.  It was nothing but pure jealousy at someone else be given a stage to perform and her desire to minimize the achievement.

I imagine the first incarnation of the "Not Ready for Primetime Players" would have ridiculed the "study sketch comedy" statement.  And they were EXPERTS at it.

Except… I was coming to comment that Ariana was offered Broadway (surely not one of the leads) and DWTS because she possesses a modicum of talent and drive.  Lala is lazy.  She became pregnant as soon as she could for the “security.”

Ariana must have some training and stage presence. (I would not know, not having seen her perform.)

No, he was usually the best of the guys - Jax was a creeper and Schwartz was always just kind of a nice guy loser.  Sandy was usually kind to others and entertaining to watch with his fashion antics and other things - he had more going on in his mind than just sex and getting drunk.  And IMO saying that he drove Kristen to act crazy is untrue - she's a nutcase, has always been one, and no matter what they had done, she'd have acted like a nutter.  I don't even dislike Kristen - it's just who she is.

Kristen acted equally nutty with James and the guy after James!

That said, those two don't seem to be just confused by her mixed signals since they only see what they want to see.

Add me to the list of people who was at first shocked when Ada said she "contributed" to the good reverend's bad back!

Cynthia Nixon is the most perfect comedienne!

Ah well, so now she buys a house on Gramercy Park and Aidan barely blinks. He makes a few remarks about how she should buy it for herself yada yada yada.

I still want to see his red brick farmhouse -- in Norfolk -- that's "better" than Howards End.

I am personally offended that this show sought to reference that show at all since every character is hopelessly clueless about it?

as in SATC, the lack of intellectual range these “New York” characters (one a WRITER) possess is puzzling.

Since everything is all day every day VPR lately on BRAVO, I was flipping channels and there was Season 2 Reunion. Guess what? Even back then they were ALL cheating, lying about it and screaming at each other. Nothing has changed. Not one single fucking thing.

They brought Ariana out as Tom's new girlfriend and she was quite smug. Not likeable at all. I remember that Ariana. Kristin had many affairs on Sandoval and she was crying about that while Sandoval was yelling at her. Stassi was bragging about her new boyfriend Patrick, that scumbag, and at the same time fighting  and crying with Jax about how he broke her heart.

This was 10 years ago. Like I said, nothing has changed.

The whole show was about ONLY THIS.

you know, I’m like, does Raquel ever caution TSand that “that is no country for us” ala “Age of Innocence”?

what is all this Victorian pearl clutching?  That is the hoot for me.

Entirely new cast for RHONY.  The previous cast or some iteration of it was supposed to be on a RHONY: Legacy series but supposedly Jill Zarin asked for too much money and the idea was shelved.  Some of the previous RHONY ladies will be doing an Ultimate Girls Trip series - Dorinda, Kelly Bensimon, Luann, Sonja and Ramona, I think.  Someone else too. Heather?

OT, but is Anthony Scaramucci’s wife one of the new?

The gall of friggin Rachel.  Who the hell does she think she is?  Her ego is so inflated because of her precious friend group who strokes her like a kitten.  I could not believe she was questioning Ariana about her sex life with Tom.  She would have loved Ariana to say she wasn’t attracted to Tom so she felt better about f**king him.  It was terrible the way she spoke to Katie’s mom.  Who does that?  I seriously cannot stand that woman.

Schwartz saying Katie shouldn’t “push” Rachel while they were in the alley was ridiculous.  She touched her arm, no more.  Schwartz actually looked pale and pathetic at SUR.

I wonder why Something About Her hasn’t opened yet?  The sandwiches sounded good.  I loved Ariana’s blouse tonight.  Katie looked cute on WWHL.

You thought Katie looked good?  I thought her outfit was completely ridiculous.  Mist of her clothes are AWFUL

  9. Hasn’t it been established that Schwartz is with “Jo”?

so Katy’s distress over Raq seems forced.  Isn’t she upset that Schwartz has a new live-in?

the show can’t address it, but it’s gotta be there.

no reason for K and S to kerp having these “dinners.” Move on.

I read somewhere that Brittany and Jax AND Kristen were at the wedding so I sought glimpses.  Think Brittany was on the boat if you look.

  10. A shame about T and A.  Their house looks really nice in the episode.

Katie was always such an awful person.  She and Lala have both ruined beautiful faces with sour and self-righteous expressions.

Lala’s coarseness is grating.  And her superior attitude moreso.  The young man looked like a child.  Doubt the sex was that great.

I think Andy asked him if he was seeing Taylor and he said something along the lines of I'm not because Shep is my boy and a Maverick.  WTAF?  It just bothers me but doesn't surprise me that Schwartz would idolize a loser like Shep Rose.

Maybe he still thinks Randall is the sh!t and is impressed by him.  *shrug*  I used to adore Schwartz but his awww shucks I'm just a loveable screwup schtick is just tiresome and sad.  I really find just both he and Lala just awful human beings.

Lala and Schwartz come from backgrounds that left much to be desired.  Education is lacking.  They are wannabes and attach themselves to anything that might lift them.  Anything.

I remember several season ago she was doing this odd part way on the side of her head and the front of her hair swept across her forehead with a sparkly barrette to hold it in place.  She seems to have hair issues.

    Bad taste in clothing too.

She was such a beautiful young girl, but she never had a scrap of taste.  She seemed never to have even been house trained at first.

a blithe young spirit passed along to each man.

she is now a bloated hag.  Bad skin and her hair is straw!

she was supposed to be “Southern gentry”

It's going to be interesting to see what happens with Mei's pregnancy. I doubt she'll have an abortion. It seems like TV shows these days avoid having characters have abortions. They may think about it, even go to the appointment, but change their minds.

If she does have an abortion, well, she's a medical student and has connections in her community. She should be able to find a place to get a safe (but still illegal) abortion. Or even a legal one with a proper medical excuse.

Or...she'll have a convenient (for the plot) miscarriage before she and Joel tell anyone about the pregnancy. Or she and Joel will get married and have the child, and the whole situation will be treated heartwarmingly but unrealistically. Moishe and Shirley will be horrified for about 10 seconds, and then Shirley will gush about having yet another grandchild. Mei will find surprisingly convenient child care arrangements, much as Midge has.

I bet Mei and Joel argue for the next two episodes about telling their parents, and at the beginning of Season 5, we find out that Mei had a miscarriage between seasons.

My humble o is that Mei has no child for any reason and that ends her with J.  As a couple, they make zero sense to me.

I fail to see why she is living with him.  She is unhappy and paranoid.  What is she gaining?  They seem implausible to me.

as to Midge, she works at night, lives with a Mom and Dad and maid.  She has the help of a non-custodial parent.  There are two other doting grandparents. A TV show like that tapes three a day.  So she would not work every day all day.  Her boy is old enough for nursery school.  YMMV.

He was actually the Prada salesman from season 5! Carrie brought Berger and tried to get him to buy a red shirt that she later picked up with her big advance from France. Carrie actually tried to set that guy up with Charlotte during the time she was apart from Harry.

Anyway, since they chose not to acknowledge this (a la Justin Thoreaux), I tell myself this guy got out of high-end retail and opened a club. I think he looks good for Seema (whom I love), though I kind of want Steve to get Seema - BIG upgrade from horrible Cyn-randa.

The scene between Carrie and Steve was well done - it was something that actually FELT like Sex and the City. All the writers did this ep, besides making me vomit with the Che and Cyn-randa moments, was make me root for Steve harder, hate Cyn-randa more, and despise this crap storyline more.

Brady has zero reactions to these developments in his life? Mom and Dad not together, Mom now queer (or at least experimenting, I hate to put a label on it right now because it's new), and dating someone new who's non-binary - but he's just going along as if nothing happened. That's not fucking realistic, I do not care how "woke" they think they've set up Brady to be. He'd have at least some comment.

When Cyn-randa said "This HAS to work" in the stairwell, I don't know if it was an accident, and damn I don't want to give the writers one kudo, but maybe this is the clue that taking C-4 to her life wasn't really a great move, and Che is just a new addiction to distract from some deep-seeded self-loathing that Cyn-randa is dealing with? Because yeah, if she has to leave the Che bubble and let the dust settle, she's gonna see some gruesome carcasses in her wake. She needs the distraction. Truth is, in real life, folks don't often stay with the person they blew up their life for. That was just some sort of red herring that quickly runs its course and then the person has to sift through the rubble at rock bottom and start fashioning a real, sustainable life for themselves again.

I finally figured out why I like Dr. Nya's husband so much despite only like 4 scenes - he's Shy Baldwin on Mrs. Maisel, and his voice is BUTTER!!

Last week Steve said he was too old to rally for them again, and now he won't ever remove his wedding ring? Ok, not buying it. Sure he's not ready, but Carrie basically told him he's deserving of someone way better than the alien who invaded his wife's body, and I hope we see that in the finale.

It's true hate-watch for me now, because Carrie is mysteriously a supporting player since ep 2 with Cyn-randa's affair taking center stage for most of this season and all good moments have been overshadowed by that lazy, stupid abomination foisted on us, but there are good moments here. Most of them include anything with Seema and Carrie. Cynthia and Kristen cannot act anymore, but SJP and Mario Cantone are still fucking hilarious, and Choudhry is a masterpiece (loved her since she was Saul's wife on Homeland).

Sarita Choudhury got naked with Denzel in Mississippi Masala.  Apropos of nothing.

    Amen to all of this.

Eli and his deceased wife had a lot more elegance than the 3 nasty children they raised. I wonder if it is people who grew up poor just giving their children everything and ending up with these rotten middle age brats?

Baby Billy is disgusting and hilarious...Walton is so good with those types of characters.

I love the actress who plays Judy. However, she actually has been fairly normal in the way she dresses (she has a great figure but her Baptism outfit was unflattering).

I was wondering why the Hell would any woman in their right mind put their husband in a short tuxedo onesie...sorry jumpsuit? It boggles the mind.

I assure you, shorts suits  for parties were quite the fash in like LA (Vanderpump Rules), but I just think BJ is as in much in the closet as Kelvin.  He so Ioved his new clothes. It was sweet to see him in harmony with Judy for a moment.

Judy’s constant talk about sex makes me think that she and BJ are not really at it. Where does that come from?  Constantly offering yourself?  Is it her only power?

i like this show so much.  Danny McBride is just so wonderfully funny.  And strange.

"Garbage" is not a strong enough term to describe Baby Billy and the Gemstone kids. There truly is no bottom for their behavior. The opening scene was great because I was wondering "Was Baby Billy actually a decent person at one point?" And then they showed that, nope, he was always trash.

One of the things that makes this show interesting is John Goodman as Eli.  In contrast to his kids, he seems like a flawed person who is genuinely trying to do good.

I laughed when Kelvin talked about his fantasy of beating Eli in a fight. There was no doubt he was going to get his ass kicked.

Cassidy Freeman/Amber Gemstone really works the dresses she wears. The one she wore in Texas? Yowzah!

Really, it’s the mens’ outfits this last episode.

Every man was “sharp as a tack” in their white tie and weskits and all.

Why, why, why would a very grown-ass middle-aged person wear the expression and body language that Carrie has in this shot? It would already be ridiculous on someone twenty years younger. SJP may have been aiming for cute and flirty, but what she got was pathetic and embarrassing. It's an immature teen-age expression and pose, and very symbolic of how truly shitty and out of touch with reality this show is.
