I thought Flower was one of my least favorite performers and I do not know why that is.

I can't even watch this because our provider isn't Spectrum.

Some interesting tidbits from that EW article:
- A lot of people were guessing Patti as the Flower.
ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: Were you aware that a lot of people were guessing it was probably you?
PATTI LABELLE: Of course. I can’t go out the house without someone calling me Flower. Oh yeah. They all knew.- She told 10 to 15 people about it.
How many people around you had to sign the NDA? How many people did you actually tell?
10 to 15. That’s a lot.- Gladys Knight is mentioned in this part.
Did anyone tell you that you were a guess during the first season?
Yeah, they thought I was Gladys Knight. My girl. We haven’t talked yet since I lost. Now I can talk to her!- She had to come up with all kinds of lies.
Did you think the clues were just way too easy?
That was one that had my birthday on it. I think it was in the first week. I had gone to the drug store to get a prescription and this guy said, “Okay, Flower.” I said, “What are you talking about?” He said my birthday was in one of the clues. Lord. So there are fans who really know everything about me. I said, “No, sir,” — I see people on the streets and I had to give them all kinds of lies.- They made her costume a little easier and it was very heavy.
Could you see the judges’ panel in your costume?
They altered the mask and made mine a little easier. I don’t know if it’s because I’m 100 years or what, but they gave more breathing room. My costume was the most livable, from what I understand. Was it heavy?
Yes, very heavy and the shoes were not Prada. They hurt. The design department had such sweet people. They said, “Well we’ll get you those support shoes if you want.” I said, “No, you’ll have to flower them again with glue and stuff, so I’ll just keep these old clodhoppers.” I was walking hard because they were hurting and my feet were sore but it was a great experience. I really enjoyed doing that.-

Here is the article: https://ew.com/tv/2019/11/20/the-flower-the-masked-singer-patti-labelle/
It's obvious she didn't want to do "Eye of the Tiger" and it's too bad that it contributed to her elimination.
Thank you.

I think part of the problem is that they don't explain or show the voting. If they gave us results it would seem like less of a fix. The panelists and apparently only the panelists choose who wins each smackdown.
As for song choice, there was an article today where Patti said she provided them with a list of 20 songs she wanted to sing. Production still picked some on their own for her. They made her do "9 to 5" and "Eye of the Tiger".
Do you have a link to that Patti Labelle article?

I've said this before and I'll say it again, but I'm really sick and tired of seeing the Joe Namath Medicare commercials.

So I checked to see if anymore airings of Snow Bride were coming up, because I thought that I saw one yesterday, but turns out there isn't.
-
I think the Leopard should have gone home instead of Flower, and I would've liked to see one last performance from her.

I thought I was posting in the episode thread so I removed it...only to realize that there was no episode thread. This is what happens when I try to use this board on my phone. 🤐
It’s okay. I make mistakes on this board as well.

What thread did you mean to post it in?

Poor Flower... I kind of felt bad for her going home.

The Flower is not Gloria Gaynor.

In the media section there is an article stating that the Smackdowns return. It will be Leopard vs Flamingo and Flower vs Rottweiler. If the judges are choosing again this is how Patti does not make the finals. I can see people freakiing out about that. I really hope the audience votes during the smackdown because it will feel less fixed. Why would the judges vote for the Leopard when Patti is better?
It's probably most likely going to be the judges.

During the "preview" show we saw the performance of the Flamingo singing "Lady Marmalade", which was a huge hit for Patti LaBelle, years before it was covered by Christina Aguilera and others. Wouldn't it be ironic if Flamingo sings it on the night that Patti goes home.
I just realized that there won't be a new episode the following week, so it will be the week after next.

Based on the promo that Mikaela posted in the media thread ("This Wednesday, the biggest surprise is who is under the mask")... the four that are singing are Flamingo, Rottweiler, Flower and Leopard. Seems like it's Miss Patti's time to go. So sad. I've really enjoyed all of her performances, and I love her even more than I did the Bee last season. I have no idea how she could lose to Seal... his voice has gotten so bad, he's nothing like what he was 20 years ago.
That means that Michelle Williams will be out the following week. For her to lose to Thingamajig and the Tree is a travesty.
I had thought that Flower and Butterfly would be 2 of the final 3. 😞
Yes. I believe that it's Flower that goes home tomorrow and then Butterfly.

Again, especially since James was already having a horrible week. The judges were really harsh on him last night as well, which made his elimination 10x worse. When the person who was saved is trying to beg, on live tv, to be eliminated instead, you know the judges screwed up. This is ALL on them.
Ally's a sweetheart for trying to beg for her own elimination. And I truly think she meant it. You could see her mouthing to the judges to save James and Emma (the moment right before Carrie Ann said she'd be saving Ally/Sasha, you can see Ally mouthing James' name).
You could tell that not a single person in that room was happy with the judges. They had the power and they blew it. And I think what they did just proved why even a judges' save didn't work. They tried correcting last season's mistake but also proved why this new system is a mistake. There HAS to be a better way to decide eliminations.
In hindsight, I think that they should have just called off the elimination entirely if they really didn't want to get rid of Ally, and had all of them advance to the finale. That way, they can cut out a couple of the bullshit performances that they'll clearly show, and James' horrible week didn't need to get worse.
Because, really, do we REALLY need to see Pitbull performing next week?

Another commercial that I can't stand is this current one for Jared.
