I just finished DESERT STAR by Michael Connelly. I couldn’t put it down. It’s a Harry Bosch and Renee Ballard book — they are working cold cases together for the LAPD. Highly recommend Connolly’s latest. It’s his usual well-written, compelling story.
2/5 - Our local farm market has an abundance of fruit so I will contribute a fruit salad (strawberries, blueberries, blackberries and cantaloupe) sprinkled with Pico Fruta.
2/5 Thanks to my extremely early morning course in English Lit many, many years ago I remembered Tennyson and Portland was fairly easy. Too bad I can’t say that for the other 3 FJ.
1/5 - I will never forget my first cream tea in the garden of my hotel on the banks of the Cam River in Cambridge. I accompanied my husband on a business trip and his company put us up in a hotel in Cambridge. Scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam - pure heaven. I have never had another cream tea quite like that one.
