I JUST WON'T SAY ANYTHING AT ALL THEN!  WAH WAH WAH!!!!

I know.  Please, Meghan put in your two weeks.  There are many people who aren’t trying to push talking points, who read, who educate themselves, who empathize, who are dying for the job you have.  There are people that will respect their bosses and the company they work for, who won’t allow their husband to publish smear pieces on coworkers, and who won’t undermine their company in public.

  2. I wish there was a video that showed all of Meghan’s flipflops.  Today she respects journalists, but a couple of months ago she told us this is why I hate journalists!

Meghan, if it’s “a gift to conservatives” that there’s a backlash to the White House Correspondent’s Dinner, what problems are you trying to get us to sympathize with?  Seriously.  This is their big win? If there really is animosity towards conservatives, it’s because people like Meghan tell audiences their biggest problems are comedians and families wanting to impose gun control.

Again, Meghan, Flint still needs clean water.  You don’t understand middle class people.

  3. BTW, Monday’s conversation about Kellyanne Conway (regarding her husband’s twitter use), all seemed like doublespeak to me—in other words the hosts were really shading Meghan & her husband by saying “when you’re spouse is putting himself out there with his opinions on social media—he IS fairgame.” Whoopi even said to Meghan, “If YOUR husband is tweeting about YOUR job, it is fair game.”

I think they see through Meghan. There’s enough buzz on social media about who’s funding her husband’s website that The View producers have to know — and that Kellyanne conversation makes me suspect, they know.  (Or I could be reading too much into that clip)

And she retweets those right-wing articles on twitter, which have titles like, "Meghan Puts Joy Behar In Her Place!" Maybe not worded like that, exactly, but the titles are usually super-dramatic and makes it seem as if Meghan had some ground-breaking argument to shut someone else on the panel up.

YES!!!! Clickbait “journalism.” I feel like there’s a possibility that she’s bought herself an army of personal bots, like her friend Clay did according to the NYT.  Like someone said before, I want people FORCE her to delve into her own viewpoints rather than spout talking points... I want someone to go big picture when they question her. Meghan what is the “liberal ideology” and why is it bad? What is “conservatism”? Why do you believe this “conservatism”? In my personal mind, by definition liberal means being open to ideas and concept, and conservative is about knowing when to reign it in and not go overboard. Meghan, why can’t these two concepts go hand in hand? Meghan, you say you hate The New York Times... what news outlets do you find reliable? Why? Do you understand the process of how this organization gathers facts and information and corroborates its information? Meghan, if the NRA stands for you, what do you think of the NRA channel that pushes propaganda? Do you see that is a problem? Please answer the question without bringing in why what the “the other side” does is more of a problem.

Meghan would really really be bad in a first year college/high school writing class because she thinks she has her own opinions, but she is just rehashing TALKING POINTS. All her sources are unreliable and unsubstanciated. Then she would be the student to get her C paper back and claim that she didn’t do well because of the EVIL LIBERAL PROFESSOR NOT AGREEING WITH “HER”!!!!!!

I'd hardly say Pence has graced and accepted Joy's apology when he scurries over to FOX to blah all about. Especially since I thought there was supposed to be some kind of separation of church and state and Pence was standing up for HIS 10's of millions flock.

Exactly. She called and apologized and she already clarified the comments to CHRISTIAN AMERICA a day after it happened. Pence going on Hannity demanding an apology for Christian American is another attempt to smear her. If it was something with Pence’s boss, Pence would have said “they addressed it privately.” Give me a break. People who watched The View or the whole segment were not offended. The more disrespectful part of that segment was Meghan calling Sunny “liberal” and acting like Sunny was less “Prolife” than Meghan.

We have a news network—a NEWS network—taking Joy’s comments out of context and literally telling viewers to get Joy fired. Then they undermine Oprah’s faith a couple weeks later even though they are the alleged fighters for faith. I wonder if Joy will want to put up with this BS for another season.

  6. Meghan reaches across the table, and says, “JOY YOU HAVE TO AGREE WITH ME.... JOY AND I TALK OFF CAMERA THAT THE CLINTONS ARE TOXIC.” When Meghan does stuff like this, she’s just trying to make headlines for “conservative” media. “Joy Behar ADMITS Clintons are Toxic after apologizing to Pence!”

  7. I guess this is more “Joy” related even though this video was posted on The View’s YouTube channel today, but I must say I am disgusted by the attempts to smear Joy by Fox News, Meghan, Ben Domenech, bots on Twitter, and “conservative” blogs. What a humiliating experience for her that she shouldn’t have had to apologize for. Omarosa, who worked in Trump’s whitehouse is the one who implied Pence was crazy, and IMMEDIATELY after Joy made that joke she clarified in real time that she didn’t think Pence was mentally ill—she even sort of complimented him in a backhand way saying she wishes he were president. It is just gross to see the attempts to take words out of context and try to make people disappear. The big irony is that The New Yorker published a piece at the end of the summer that revealed how much Pence’s boss makes fun of his religion. There was no Fox News creating videos telling viewers to “call 1800ProtectChristians” to bring down Pence’s boss. I just feel bad for Joy because she’s 75 years old, has been at this job for years, and she doesn’t deserve this BS.

You’d think at least one of Meghan’s many best friends would tell her to STFU.

They did for many years when Meghan was speaking up about problems she saw in the GOP. Then something clicked, and Meghan decided she’d rather be liked by these people, so she started discussing how hard it is being a conservative.

And why isn't Meghan ever made to apologize?  Or correct her many lies?

Because the “evil liberal media” doesn’t have an army of bots and a whole network that takes her comments out of context, feigns outrage, and demand she + ABC apologize.

Shut up, Meh-gan. Condemn Betsy Wetsy as the uneducated a-hole that she is. Stop trying to co-opt the conversation and please, inform me as to exactly 'what' the conservative policy in education is. (Thank you, blondiec0332).

Exactly. She just gets her “school choice” buzzwords in. She literally is a conservative talking point robot.

Meghan brought up the fact we have a very poor ranking in the world when it comes to education because of test scores.  That IMO is the problem.  Not all students do well on tests. Doesn't mean they aren't smart and not learning.

Meghan is incredibly frustrated because nobody takes her seriously.  And why should they?  She doesn't have kids.  She never went (as far as I know) to public schools.

YES, YES, YES. They need to just start ignoring this girl. She doesn’t care about education; she’s just spewing talking points.  Like Meghan, red American gun loving Patriots go to public schools too! I just cant with her acting like WE HAVE WASTED BILLIONS OF DOLLARS ON EDUCATION!!!!! It’s insulting to teachers. Remember the nurses outcry that was a little blown out of proportion, in my opinion? Anytime guns in schools or education is discussed, Meghan is just disrespectful to the education system and teachers. Just imagine, if Joy said, TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS ARE WASTED ON THE MILLITARY AND ISIS ATTACKED US! Just imagine. Unpatriotic. Offensive. Does she even understand red America?

The fact of the matter is that school choice is available. For poorer areas where it’s hard to win the lotto to enter a charter school is where our schools need more funding. But seriously, all she knows about education are the talking points she learned through Fox News. Let the parents, former teachers, and people who care about education take this one Meghan.

Again, Meghan spouting a whole lotta nothin' just loves to hear herself use big words. And no, DeVoss didn't choke; Stahl didn't give her a "GOTCHA!" question. This corporate shill has had this position for over a year and if she didn't know how to do the job, she fucking well should have worked to learn how to do the job. so STFU Meghan. If there even is such a thing as "Conservative Education Policy." And Gurrrl tried to tell Whoopi she didn't say "ideology" and repeated it twice! So yeah, Whoopi, you DID hear what you thought you heard.

How nice. The man who sits in the Oval Office, who is supposed to be the president of EVERYONE, doesn't think anything is wrong with insulting members of Congress. If ANYONE has a low IQ, it's the man who spent the weekend insulting and belittling other people and calling them sons of bitches. And Meghan? Know why his base loves him? Because he's spouting racist, bigoted things and his base are filled with bigoted, racist ignorants. She's afraid to say the "R" word and I don't mean Republican, because then she'll think EVERYONE will think that SHE'S racist! If one condones it, then one is just as bad as being one.

I really am just disgusted by her lack of empathy. There’s the huge buildup to Meghan’s mom coming on the show to react to Trump insulting her dad, and even before they made a statement, Meghan ended up needing an apology. We need to understand her family is going through so much. Blah blah blah. And I feel for her. I do.  But why can’t she take these experiences and feel for the families that just lost a child to gun violence? Instead she feels bad for the same woman who has bullied Meghan since 2009 - Dana Loesch (seriously, search Twitter for ‘mccain’ from:dloesch - there’s long history of Dana Loesch bullying her good friend Meghan)—that’s Meghan’s friend. Why can’t Meghan hear the president insult journalists and minorities and condone that as well? Shouldn’t she know how it feels better than anyone else?  Instead, “oh that’s just Trump’s base.” I’m so sick of hearing “that’s Trump’s base.” “Oh Trump’s base won’t care about his affair.” “Oh Trump’s base won’t care about racism.” When that’s what people hear said so frequently on cable news, people like Meghan shouldn’t be surprised when other people find Trump supporters racist.  You literally tell us they don’t care about racism.

I’m willing to bet many people who voted for him do care about the words he says, but the conversation is always, “Will his supporters care about this? Nahhhhh so let’s move on.” That’s why Trump gets away with so much. Maybe they DO care — like Joy said, we had the Russians disrupt the election last year, making fake accounts on social media to create a sort of group think among people. But, whatever, that’s not worth discussing.  Hillary needs to get over losing and we can only speak out against the “base” if they are booing anyone close to Meghan.  Everyone else is the liberal media and therefore fair game.  #MeghanLogic

  10. Did I hear that correctly? Meghan said, “Chelsea Clinton is still an omnipresent figure in politics when her mother lost her bid for president.” (Not a direct quote, but paraphrasing)

Wait a second, Meghan... think about what you just said and think about the irony.  Just think about it before you keep suggesting the Clintons need to go away.

  12. Today’s episode is another example of Meghan LOOKING to create controversy and get ABC in trouble.  She LOOKS to twist words - she LOOKS to dogwhistle to her echochamber at Fox News. Joy is catching on since she kept saying, “WE AGREE WITH YOU!” Even when hosts agree, Meghan manipulates the conversation to make herself again look like a victim. Elisabeth never wanted to bring down The View and get her network in trouble; Nicolle never wanted to have fights with other hosts — she’d find common ground; Candice was too nice to even really get political for the most part; and Jedidiah could be a human and talk about subjects that didn’t pertain to politics.

I do feel Meghan is trying to act as a “Conservative” Hero constantly “exposing” The View.  For these reasons, I don’t get why ABC is keeping her.

I did have to give Meghan credit for calling out Whoopi's bullshit about she herself inviting Conservative women to Women's Marches and such. "Which women?"   Whoopi had no answer but "I'll tell you later."

(Whoopi should have said "all your good friends.")

That reminds me of when Whoopi invited Tiffany Trump to sit with her at that fashion show—can’t remember the name of it. LOL. When is that gonna happen?  Can Whoopi wear her “It’s Mueller Time” sweatshirt?

I agree with that.  She is a rich white woman.  She has never needed to be a feminist because she was born with every opportunity at her fingertips.  And she is wrong.  Feminism isn't all about reproductive rights.  Sunny explained she is personally against abortion but believes in equal pay and a host of other things in regard to feminism.

Yep, she tries so hard to make the audiences sympathize with “red America” and understand “Trump’s base” can’t stand when people complain about racism. Who cares if Trump calls Elizabeth Warren pocahauntus, he’s playing to his “base”? Does the “Hollywood-Elitist” Meryl Streep realize she only creates more Trump voters when she writes a speech about being disgusted that Trump would mock a disabled man? Meghan is the one who paints the picture of the Trump voter as hillbilly racists who roll their eyes at the word racist, don’t care about sexual assault, and just want their guns and beer cans.

Meghan has lived a more privileged life than anyone at that table — I remember she said that when it comes to equal pay women need to ask for the salary they are worth. Let’s say Meghan makes more than $50k a month (when Sherri was on the show I remember reading that’s what she made).... does Meghan think that those entry level teachers in West Virginia who make a starting salary of $32k A YEAR are really worth that much less than she is?  But you know what, Meghan is right — those teachers should have simply told the hiring manager that they are worth $32k a month, not a year, and the gender pay gap problems will be solved. Easy fix. Meghan’s problems are bigger than those women’s problems because some of them would be welcomed at the Women’s March. Poor Meghan, stuck in liberal New York with an incredible salary. Poor Meghan.

  16. From now on when they bring conservatives on the panel, they should just let Meghan have a conversation with them, because she takes over the whole discussion, makes it about her father, blah blah blah, and no one else ever gets to finish a question. Meghan makes it hard not to think of John McCain when watching this show because she sure invokes him whenever possible — even if it means INTERUPTING Joy’s question about how do you reconcile trying to create an inclusive CPAC when we have a president calling Mexicans rapitsts.  That is a fair question, but Meghan steamrolls over Joy’s question to make it about her situation.  I respect John McCain—and I would LOVE to think of Meghan as Meghan first, not as John McCain’s daughter—but Meghan makes it really difficult when 1/3rd of the questioning is about her dad. (Seriously, 3 out of 9 minutes of this interview was about how John McCain is a hero and CPAC was unfair to him)

Here are the questions asked (the bolded questions are ones we actually received answers to):

    1. CPAC is inviting more fringe speakers and extremists - does this fringe group represent your party?

Answer: We don’t want fringe people there - defends all the fringe people. We want to start a conversation.

    2. How do you put together that Trump calls Mexicans rapists?

Answer: Discussion interrupted by Meghan at 3 minutes and 4 seconds into the interview and Meghan talks about knowing Matt and wife, and how her husband interviewed Ted Cruz, and how she enjoyed the speeches and had a lot of friends that were there. Meghan doesn’t understand why President Trump called out her dad and led a crowd of viewing.  She was upset and hurt.  She doesn’t understand why Susan Collins and Lisa Mercowski (idk how to spell her last name) aren’t brought up regarding the healthcare vote.  She says her dad hasn’t ever been invited to speak at CPAC and he isn’t a conservative darling....... (her interruption starts turning into a question.....)

    3. Question: Why at this moment, when [John McCain] is suffering from the worst brain cancer that exists and going through chemo, can’t there be respect for her family from CPAC? (After crowd claps and there’s a pause for  Matt Schlapp to answer, Meghan continues her speech by repeating things she’s said....) And you defended it on Twitter, and I was disappointed—I know your wife well, you’re GOOD PEOPLE.

Answer: Your dad is a hero, he’s spoken at CPAC, lots of people have spoken at CPAC.

Ana interjects - she whould have loved if Schlapp spoke up at CPAC.

Joy interjects - “the way John McCain would have!”

Answer: It’s okay to disagree with votes.

    4. What about Susan Collins and Lisa Mercowski then??? If you’re gonna talk Obamacare, I don’t understand the VITRIOLE..... (Sunny Interupts at 6 minutes into interview to change the subject — 3 minutes of a 9 minute interview wasted)

    5. Why won’t you call out racism?

Answer: Blah blah blah (I no longer feel like typing the answers)

The two BOLDED questions are the only questions that were answered — I would argue not adequately, but somewhat answered.  Sunny’s FINAL question would have been stronger, had it been connected to Joy’s question, which Meghan interrupted. Meghan really disrupts the flow of these interviews to the point where I wonder if Barbara Walters watches this show wanting to throw the TV out of her apartment window.  Good for Sunny though for interrupting Meghan’s rant and refocusing the interview.  Matt Schlapp really only had excuses for the first question, so question #2 was meant probe deeper into the initial question.

SNL has a lot of material with Meghan, but I think they would wait for the situations with the McCains to be long over before they even considered making fun of her.

Meghan said Hollywood isn't inclusive of "Republican values".  And she wonders why she isn't invited to parties.

The irony is she made a name of herself going on shows she’d call “liberal” while conservative commenters bullied her and “liberal” hosts came to her defense.  People do like Republicans.  Jenna Bush is beloved on the Today Show because she acts like a person, not a Republican robot who tries to justify outrageous things.

Everyone’s face when she was speaking just showed their bewilderment by her attitude....

Even though it looked like Whoopi was directing her “ENOUGH” to Sunny, she was glaring at Meghan as she was cutting Sunny off from trying to make her point about facts and data.  It’s interesting that Whoopi still won’t say, “ENOUGH MEGHAN!” But, Joy seems to have learned not to try and converse with Meghan as she’s going on her rants, since doing so causes Fox News and conservative robots on Twitter to spend a week trying to get you fired.  It was telling that Joy really pulled herself out of the conversation until after the commercial break, they let her talk about her opinions as a teacher.  (The producers must have told Meghan she had to let Joy share her experience, since she conceded that “the other side” deserves to be heard too.)

They can buy it out of pocket and claim it in their $250 teacher tax deduction that republicans tried taking away a month ago.  But seriously, if Meghan so DESPERATELY wants people to understand “red American”—which isn’t Florida red America these days?—maybe she should try to understand teachers and school systems, which the Republican Party and conservative media frequently smear as a liberal indoctrinating system.  Poor Meghan needs her hobby of hunting and going to a shooting range because its her culture!  We don’t understand that, but I’m sure she understands the endless hours teachers spend planning, grading, emailing negligent parents, emailing helicopter parents, posting announcements online, decorating a classroom, controlling a classroom of kids with varying complex learning/behavior needs, and having to be prepared for the unexpected to arise at any moment—all while making a starting salary that averages at $37k a year.
