I have been doing IF for over 2 months now. So far, just skipping breakfast, but that's huge for me as I was always told breakfast is important, and being diabetic, they beat u over the head about skipping meals. The thing is, when they say eat 3 meals and 2 snacks, your body is always processing food, and since the ADA says its OK for a female to eat 175 gms of carbs a day, you've always got carbs in your system. I've reduced meds and working on getting off of them by doing low carb/semi keto most of the time. I want to do OMAD, but am afraid to do it at work.  I think I should start with a longer window and then work on shortening it. I'm losing weight, so this craziness is paying off.

Good for you! I do IF 2 or 3 days a week, by eating lunch, skipping dinner, and then eating again the next morning. That way you sleep through most of the fast and I've found that it's really not that difficult. Also, limiting my carbs - and the carbs I do eat are unprocessed, like beans and berries, etc - really keeps me from being hungry and craving foods.

Until I see spaghetti, of course.

That spaghetti looks good. Now I want spaghetti.

I haven't had bread, or rice, or potatoes...or pasta...since December, and my mouth is watering! That looks so good. And tonight is my intermittent fast day, so it's hard when they eat good lookin' food. Of course, looking at THEM makes it easier!

I can’t remember if I’ve seen a 600 lb life with an active smoker. Does Dr. Now take patients who smoke?

I think that would cause real problems with anesthesia, and with healing after surgery. See - I learned something from Dr. Pimple Popper!

  4. I've been on a lifestyle change since January, trying to eat cleaner, eliminate refined starches and sugars, cook all my food at home instead of eating out. Today was the first day I ate something completely off the diet - McDonalds bacon egg and cheese biscuit. I thought it tasted sooo good. But after seeing Jeanne stuff huge bites of food into her mouth for the last 15 minutes, I'm back on the diet, for sure. Wow that was unrelenting - breakfast, cheeseburgers, bottomless fries, pizza, cupcakes. Gah!

  5. I said to myself last week that I wasn't going to watch tonight, and I am so so so so happy that I didn't. I used to love DWTS, it was must-see tv for me, everyone knew not to disturb me when it was on.  But I'm officially over it. So disappointing. I think the judges - who have all been there since the beginning - must also be very disappointed in the results, and in what the show has become.  Too bad.

Jon's not great at the maths.

                  Exhibit A:

Jon: "How many men's wedding rings do you sell?"

Salesman:  "I sell as many men's wedding rings as I do women's."

Jon:  "But like... you wouldn't say they're common, right?"

    Salesman:

Too funny. And anyone who uses Jeff Goldblum for a funny gets an extra upvote from me!

Yep. My husband died out of nowhere  2 1/2 years ago, leaving me a widow at 50. Then last December I was diagnosed with cancer. I'm having major surgery in 3 weeks. So fuck you and your unfair, Rachel.

So sorry for your loss and health troubles. Best of luck to you.

Sour Bethany hates everything, and it shows in her haggard face.  Bitch, you have implants.  Calling out Moaner's fun bags is pretty hypocritical.  She's mad that Moaner enjoys shit and looks the same age as she does.

Bethenny doesn't call out Ramona's implants per se, what she refers to is the fact that Ramona seemingly can't find a dress or shirt that doesn't put her "fun bags" front and center every. single. time. If it's not low cut, then it's too tight, better yet, it's low cut AND too tight. I also don't think Ramona is enjoying her life as much as she would like everyone to think. Because Beth is thin and lacks facial and body fat, her face shows more creases and shadows, and her implants have that "bolted on" look - but I don't think she would trade her face, body - or her life - with Ramona in a million years.

I've seen these ladies drink enough over all of the episodes I've watched that I know I wouldn't want any of them behind the wheel of a car (not that they drive), nor would I want them to cross the street by themselves after a night out.  Judging from their screaming fits at each other over dinner and drinks,  most of them seem moderately impaired during and afterwards.   Nothing about their behavior screams "class" to me.  YMMV.

I was talking about Lu, and I can remember only one, maybe two, occasions when she has had too much to drink, the other that I remember was in T&C, also on vacation. Lu has been - to me - pretty well behaved with regards to alcohol.

If I was ever on RHONY, I would have to flat out refuse to ever vacation with Ramona and Sonja. I have 2 of my own children. I'm not going to vacation with those 2. I loved B bringing out the numbers in a bowl to pick rooms. If you act like children then you will be treated like children. I was worried at first though that they would wind up with a high number so I was ecstatic when they got the last 2 numbers. Then when they started in on Tins, Dorinda, and Carole about the room situation, I was just hoping that the three ladies would hold up. They view those 3 as weaker and target them. I wouldn't have waited as long as Dorinda nor would I have given a warning. I would have picked up their bags and chucked them over the balcony.

Carole's dress at dinner is very on trend. It isn't something I would wear but it is actually considered a fashionable thing. I keep hoping the sheer trend will die out soon but nope.

Did anyone else wonder if Bethenny did something to the slips in the bowl to make sure that they got the lowest numbers, for a hoot (not that she really did)? I sure would have, under the circumstances.

    Why? (Genuinely asking, not snarking.)

Because I thought it was her single greatest moment as a housewife; she dove into that rosebush and kept smiling like a Pearl Drops toothpaste commercial, relaxing into an actual bed of roses, one leg up like my dog when she's too tired to stretch more than one limb (or a dying cockroach) and then did it all over again, with even less concern, on hard-as rock pavement. Just entertaining as hell, because she pulled it off so naturally -- and if I ever get drunk enough to fall, I want to look like Luann when I do it; totally fucking unconcerned, and in the perfect outfit for a fall on a lovely Mexican evening (no random crotch sightings or awkward thigh shots). And yet still truly madly deeply drunk, completely shitfaced, sloshed, plastered -- and literally feeling no pain -- she might be some kind of royalty after all. (Drunk Mad King Ludwig royalty,  but still -- she deserves some kind of crown for pulling that off.)

It *was* amazing --  she thinks she's Princess Grace of Monaco when she's really Auntie Mame (with a better figure and worse jewelry) -- wish she knew that about herself.

This just might be my favorite post of all time, it's practically Homeric.

And for me, I have found Luann almost unbearable to watch over the last year, but the way she handled herself tonight actually endeared her to me again. You've heard the saying, that a drunk (wo)man's words are a sober (wo)man's thoughts? Well, maybe there is a humorous, affable genuine woman under that snooty veneer after all.

Cookies as a dessert is corporate function catering lame. Slice and bake cookies for dessert is grade school cafeteria bullshit. We saw the packaging! She should've really nailed that point -- it's not just a taste level issue, it's heat and serve. Fucking ridiculous.

I could be wrong, but I thought the cookies were made from scratch; I thought the cookie packages on the table were off-the-shelf packages that the crew were snacking on. And I'm not an Adam apologist, but I think he (and most chefs) tailor their offerings to the time of day (a late lunch where the guests were already getting up from the table and taking a cookie to go) and client (the guests were all over those snickerdoodles!). Then again, maybe I'm just torn by my love for a fresh-baked snickerdoodle and a glass of milk!

  13. Whatever Kathryn's been on has really affected her skin as well. She doesn't act like she's been on meth, but her skin looks like a meth addict's. I'm loving how Jennifer has been taking control.

Also, Thomas is clearly furious about Kathryn's lies, his voice was shaking.

Is there a way to see the basement bedroom online? IIRC, Luann's complaint in her blog is that neither her bathroom nor bedroom had any outlets. If so, that is rather odd. Still doesn't explain the help's use of her john.

Lol, the pictures show that both bedrooms had bedside lighting. I wonder how that was accomplished without outlets...

ETA: oops, read further to find that she was just complaining about not outlets in the bathroom. Still, such hardships.
