She wasn't listed but Julie Bowen was Guen.

Yay I knew I recognised the voice. 4 episodes in and I’m quite enjoying the show. The cast gets pretty nicely and Dylan McDermott is very funny as Captain Dave.

Robb was deceived and betrayed by the Freys who were his allies. This is nothing like Daenerys killing the Tarlys for not bending a knee. These are different situations that you conflating to make them all the same somehow. I am looking forward to seeing how this plays out on the screen.

I don't think that the situations are the same at all. I just have an issue with Jon seemingly being fine with killing people just because they refuse to bend the knee. Robb refused and the Lannisters used their "allies" to kill them. The Tarly's refuse here and even though at this point Danny has no real authority over them she kills them.  Maybe it will play out better when there is context but it just doesn't sit well with me.

War related, they're soldiers. Easily hand waved. Shireen sacrificed an innocent little girl.

So was Robb which means Jon is probably fine with what happened there then as well.  Probably unpopular opinion but these spoilers are awful and I really hoped that they were a misdirect/ leaked on purpose because they require such leaps of logic in some areas and characters basically acting like idiots just to hit certain plot points.

I don't see the inconsistency that you are suggesting. Daenerys kills Sam's brother and father because they are traitors, Jon has stated that the punishment for treachery is death

And they are traitors just because they refuse to bend the knee to her? She doesn't have the iron throne yet so they have no obligation to be loyal to her.  And okay even if She considers them traitors they are still Sam's family. I know his dad was a dick but that doesn't mean he will be fine with that and as his friend I don't think Jon should be either.

  5. Right so Dany sets fire to Sam's family and 2 episodes later Jon, who sent Melisandre away because of what she did to Shireen and wouldn't even take the lands away from the kids of the people partially responsible for Rickons death, sleeps her?

And meanwhile Arya is pissed at Sansa for doing what Jon asked her to do (rule) and refusing to go South a decision which given the fact that all their lives pretty much got fracked up last time they went there should be easy to understand. Oh and then the letter which Littlefinger should not even have comes into play?

    Good grief.

Here's something I don't get: there's this huge debate going on about the ethical ramifications of punishing two kids due to the sins of their parents and whether Sansa or Jon is right in the matter.  Fine, I get that.  But nobody seems to be questioning if MAYBE Arya's little opening stunt wasn't morally justified?  That murdering every son based on the sin of their parent might be needlessly excessive? Seriously, I keep hearing "SO BADASS" responses to that scene and I'm like "really?"  I get satisfaction at Walder's death, but every Frey male in the House?

Because Sansa can do no right which is why every minor infraction she makes is debated to death even whilst Arya is killing her way through Westeros.

As am I. With winter being here you will need those "useless girly tasks" like knitting and sewing unless you want your troops to freeze to death.

  8. I made a clean break last season during BMD.  I still check in on  the spoilers and episode threads every now and then hoping that something will pull me back in but there are better comic book shows out there and not even my love for Ms Smoak, Olicity and OG Team Arrow can make me watch full episodes filled with plot and no substance. Same thing happened with Smallville (In the end I only ever tuned in for Chloe- centric episodes).  Unfortunately The Arrow writers can't even seem to be bothered about writing real stories for non-masked characters/ the women on the show so there are likely to be no Felicity-centric episodes to tune back in for.

  9. Who's to say Oliver and Felicity don't have a dance together. Unless Ray and Oliver are at odds cause of feelings for the Gorgeous Ms Smoak?

This might play out like the Anti-prom (Dawsons Creek). Felicity goes with Ray, has an angsty dance with Oliver which Ray witnesses and leads him to step back because he realises where her heart lies. Then in comes Mama Smoak in 318 to give Felicity the final push towards Oliver just in time for the final run of episodes.
