  1. I like the premise of this show so much more than the actual show. I'll continue to watch because it's ok for a summer fling. I've decided to suspend my belief about the kids ages. I think the concept works better if the children are around 5. 5 year olds do not have a grasp on the concept of death. If Harper were 5, it would make sense that she wouldn't understand that her mother might die from falling. It would also make sense that they wouldn't be freaked out by a voice communicating through a night light. Instead these kids seem like sociopaths. Unfortunately children under six are very difficult to cast, direct and read lines. So, the writers went with what look like 8 year olds and I've decided to go with it. Right now I am most disappointed in the mopey adults who don't seem smart enough to be as important and accomplished as they are meant to be.
