I agree, Mercuree is clearly unstable. I thought it was funny that when Phil tried to be condescending at the end and Chrissy stood up to him and he had to rush off. I don't think he even shook their hands like he normally does with guests.
-
I think they thought that Dr Phil would automatically take their side because he's not a fan of women being promiscuous, but they were self righteous I think Phil realized that the girl is probably better off not in the house. Also, I think it was funny the one brother saying, "She's doing it because she like the attention!" So your answer to that is to bring her on TV?
-
I think they said that it was agreed that the kids would stay with the one sister while the other was in jail so that the kids wouldn't end up in foster care. They must have had some sort of falling since then. I agree with the people who think that alcohol sister is just keeping the kids to get back at her. She's probably using the one's sister record against her as leverage with the authorities.
-
Alcoholic sister mentioned in passing that former addict tried to take her to court but didn't go into details. I was disappointed that Dr Phil didn't follow up. Maybe it's something that's still pending?

I watched this episode earlier today. It was implied that AJ struck at his wife once, so she left for her home state and no one saw her again.
-
Watched today's show about the mom who had the out of control daughter who among other things was caught doing blackface. I think Phil and the sister were actually on target when they suggested that the daughter might be out of control because the mom was a functioning alcoholic. However, they implied that mom had other kids or least another son? I'm assuming that he turned out ok-ish?

I think after realizing that he wasn't going to put the moves on her, she got complacent. Instead of being threatened she's thinking, "There's my zany pervert son-in-law touch himself again...what're ya gonna do?" Fair enough, but I think at that point she'd gotten used to him and his "habit".
-
That's kind of what I thought too. Mom's probably thinking, "Well, he's addicted to porn, you don't leave him...he's having multiple affairs you don't leave him,..he's flashing other people you don't leave him...what's it matter what I say?"

I think Phil needed to throw someone under the bus to create more drama for the show and chose the Mother In Law for a few reasons. Number one: The wife seemed to have wised up after putting up with dude's stuff for years, she's already one foot out the door so it's not like Phil had to convince her of anything. Number two: The husband has admitted to doing awful things, so it's not like Phil could catch him in a bombshell lie. Number Three: I think the subject of Sex Addiction is simply out of Dr Phil's wheelhouse so he couldn't add anything educational, so he had to go find someone to yell at. "Why didn't you jump out of the car and run away?!" Like, really?

It's interesting that they hustled him off the stage pretty quickly. It looked like Sheila was about to have a meltdown if they didn't.
-
I only saw about 3/4 of the episode but I'd guess that "Leader of the World" and Erica came on thinking it was a chance to spread their "message". By the way how old was the other girl? She looked really young like 17-18-ish. I felt bad for Sheila as well. I think they mentioned that she'd been in the psychiatric hospital twice, so her issues are definitely serious.

When Phil talked to the "mistress" alone and then invited Robin to come on stage, I totally thought they were going to give her some cosmetics.
-
I thought that the young lady might have had some sort mental issue seeing as some of the stuff she was doing didn't seem to have any point. For instance, if she was telling the one guy she was pregnant to get money from him, at least that would make sense. But what was she going to gain from telling her mom she was expecting 2 months after supposedly losing the baby? Having said that, she didn't seem to actually sorry for any any of the things she did or people she hurt.
-
Yeah, I was kind of feeling that she must have had a nervous breakdown at some point but it's being overlooked because of the catfish aspect. I mean, it's not just the usual send the fake boyfriend money and someday we'll be together stuff, it's "Tyler took my eggs!" This is someone who actually was in need of a psych evaluation.
-
That was my feeling too. She was a little bit off and she's trying to get back at dude. Mom takes her side cuz she's her mom.
-
I agree. I think she said that stuff just to get Dr Phil off her back, but I'm not so sure she really believed it. I can't remember if Jasmine had gotten an restraining order but she should definitely look itno get some sort of protection. Well, Morgan did play God in some Jim Carey movie LOL!

Which probably why he didn't last in the professional psychology field.
-
But if you're going to have an expert on the show you'd think said expert would have something either practical or insightful to say as it relates to his profession. Sneering at the guests that he's supposedly there to help just makes him come off as a jerk, not someone who's telling hard truth.

I finally saw the episode where Mormon couple who might lose their kids because false accusations of molestation. While I think the dad probably needed a kick in the pants for blindly following the elders at his church, I thought Phil was unnecessarily mean to the mom. The lady asked him for help and he was really condescending for much of the show. And what was his great advise for getting her kids back? "Make the case worker your best friend." What? And Dr Sophy was there to add nothing of value except his super villain looks.
-
He cracked me up, he's so bad at being a psychic! I think the daughter might have been the only person who believes him. More seriously though, i do think that she was in need of some professional therapy. The fact that she'd fall for the guy's obvious nonsense, suggests she's got some emotional issues.
-
I feel the same way. I can't think of anytime he actually gave anyone on Dr Phil's show any practical advise. He usually says something condescending and borderline insulting. I'm almost convinced Phil has him on the show just to be mean to the guests.
-
But yeah, I agree with most everyone else has said about Christian singer lady...there's no help to offer cuz her issue is that she's just petty and vindictive and her own actions caused her to lose custody. If anything, her ex and his wife need help to keep her away from them!
-
I finally saw the whole thing with crazy tiara lady. Again I always find it interesting when Phil tries to use his clichés on people who have emotional/mental issues cuz what he says never registers with them until he drops the act and engages with them on a more personal level. She wasn't hearing all his "Well I'm a good ol' Texas boy," "It's not an essay question," "you're not going to filibuster" stuff but when he finally tried to talk to her as a person on the 2nd part, he was able to get through to her. I was kinda thinking why didn't he start the show like this, the woman obviously had a nervous breakdown ( she was literally committed to an institution!)...why talk to her as if she's another lazy and or cheating spouse?

Saw today's show with the parents of the girl with the abusive DJ boyfriend. At the end he offered to get them separate life coaches. I think the life coach might help her. She seemed immature but I think eventually she'll grow up and move on. Also, Phil was being disingenuous when he said, "You're the only person I've heard use the word 'love' and 'Pornography' in the same sentence." I saw on old show where he had a married couple that did an adult website together. It's come up before with couples. Now he's made it clear that he doesn't approve, but it's not some strange concept he's never heard of before.

I'll admit it made me laugh too. I'm sure that's why the stage was clear after they came back from the break.
